What is a threat to the United States of America? Could it be TRUTH? What is a threat to the American people? Could it be APATHY?

efarmer

The constitution is toilet paper. They don’t even pretend anymore to care about the oath they took.

When I rail about this at home my wife tells me I need to quit reading all this negative news. I tell her about all the freedoms that are being stripped away and wonder what will be left of this once great country for our yet unborn grandkids.

Apathy would bring the end even quicker.

When will this senile fool RINO ignoramus be finally put out to pasture????

He talks about 27% of the Gitmo releasees being ultimately recaptured on the battlefield but these WERE NOT US CITIZENS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

There is a clip where Rand and Judge Naolitano are talking about the “legal” underpinnings of this bill that is worth a few minutes of your time.

But here is the problem: Why does our fed.gov believe they need such draconian measures? I have been yammering on this board, and others, about the noose slowly tightening about our collective necks. Y’ll think I have my tinfoil cowboy hat on too tight.

Why is the fed.gov shredding not only Posse Comitatus but the 4th Amendment – and just in time for the Iraqi drawdown and the troops to come home???? Hmmmmm??

Better to shoot us in the streets that feed us in a FEMA camp.

The Constitution, the Rule of Law and the notion of a democratic republic are DEAD.

Here is where we are headed.

Iranian TV claims the Drone has been recovered with only minor damage. Wow, that’s a relief. I’d sure hate for all that hot tech stuff to fall into the wrong hands. Maybe we could get the Russians or Chinese to get their big Tuplovs there as quickly as possible to return the ship to us. I wonder where they got missiles of that quality to be able to shoot down one of our Drones that had stealth configuration. And I wonder if that sends any signals to our leadership to rethink their happy thoughts on sending manned aircraft over there. Let us pray.

Stucky

Just McCain? Fuck that. They are ALL fascists. Fucking pigs, everyone of them.

“Why of course the people don’t want war … But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship … Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

That above NAZI might as well be describing Bush, Obama, and Congress.

John MCain, a fascist? Maybe, but he’s our fascist, a war hero, and a United States Senator. McCain is also the former Republican candidate for President who represented the beliefs of tens of millions of Americans and hoped to carry on the legacy of George Bush and Dick Cheney. In short, McCain’s a representative great American.

Should we so quick to criticize? Remember that McCain is only another Republican leader, who in the history of the party has, in his mind, put the safety of the nation ahead of the rights of a few individuals. Abraham Lincoln, in order to save the Union, bent the Constitution by suspending the right of Habeas Corpus and in other ways. A few eggs got cracked but Lincoln kept the country together. Congress gave Ulysses Grant the right to suspend Habeas Corpus during Reconstruction and put down terrorist groups like the Ku Klux Klan with military force. Like Lincoln, Grant was successful. So, with some perspective, isn’t McCain, like those who voted with him, just acting in our great national tradition.

When you see the flag my fellow Americans, remind yourself of what it’s stood for for others and what it stands for for you and act and vote accordingly.

I’m a Good Ole Rebel

by Major James Innes Randolph, CSA
First published in 1914, this song expresses the feelings of the old CSA Veterans.

Oh, I’m a good old Rebel,
Now that’s just what I am;
For this “fair land of Freedom”
I do not care a damn.
I’m glad I fit against it-
I only wish we’d won.
And I don’t want no pardon
For anything I’ve done.

I hates the Constitution,
This great Republic too;
I hates the Freedmen’s Buro,
In uniforms of blue.
I hates the nasty eagle,
With all his brag and fuss;
But the lyin’, thievin’ Yankees
I hates’ em wuss and wuss.

I hates the Yankee nation
and everything they do,
I hates the Declaration
of Independence, too;
I hates the glorious Union
tis drippin’ with our blood
I hates their striped banner,
I fit it all I could.

I followed Ol’ Marsh Roberts
for four years, nearabout,
got wounded in three places
and starved at P’int Lookout:
I cotched the rheumatism
a’campin’ in the snow;
but I killed a chance o’ Yankees,
I’d like to kill some mo’.

We got three hundred thousand
Befo’ they conquered us.
They died of Southern fever
And Southern steel and shot;
And I wish it was three million
Instead of what we got.

I can’t take up my musket
And fight’ em now no mo’,
But I ain’t a-goin’to love’ em,
Now that is sartin sho’;
And I don’t want no pardon
For what I was and am;
And I won’t be reconstructed,
And I do not give a damn.

1. Proof of his facsism. That film clip in the article doesn’t cut it.

The truth is never unfortunate.It is what it is.The second Gulf of Tonkin incident used to incite war against North Vietnam was a lie and resulting in the death and destruction of tens of thousand of innocent lives.I personally lost two very close relatives.
And if that isn’t a crime against humanity I don’t know what could be?
So McCain was just following orders when he bombed and strafed the peoples of another sovereign nation whom never attacked US , you say? Really?
Wasn’t that that the same defense used by the Nazi’s at Nuremberg that was discounted as no defense?
And don’t you think as a son and grandson of military royalty (admirals both) that little Mac had some inclination that the Vietnam war was just another profiteering venture?
It’s no secret that US corporations were flooding into S.Vietnam looking for cheap labor during the American instigated Vietnam war.(e.g) Ford Motor Company of which McNamara was a former prez) .The thought that the NV could ever force a evacuation of South Vietnam never crossed the profiteers mind .How could the mighty Empire with all it’s weapons of mass destruction lose to such a tiny foes and North Vietnam?

We should declare war on North Vietnam. . . .We could pave the whole country and put parking strips on it, and still be home by Christmas.
–Ronald Reagan, 1965

And if the hot shot killing spree that was the Vietnam war wasn’t enough of a stain on the POS McCain’s character then heap another shovel full of shit on the pile via the S&L scandal of early ’90’s commonly known as the Keating Five scandal.If enabling corporation to bilk millions from taxpaying Americans is fascism i.e corporatism then what was Makky’s suspension of his ’08 campaign to rush back to congress to votes his top contributors a 4 trillion dollar bail-out?See list of contributors below.

SSS, Just the very fact you try to defend McCain and other fascist puppets shows either you admire the deftness at diversion or you suffer from cognitive dissonance.

Gulf of Tonkin: McNamara admits It didn’t happen.

According to the Vietnamese government, there were 1,100,000 North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong military personnel deaths during the Vietnam War.[4] R.J. Rummel reviewed the many casualty data sets, this number is in keeping with his mid-level estimate of 1,011,000 North Vietnamese combatant deaths.[26] He further calculated a mid-level estimate of 251,000 Viet Cong military deaths.[5] Thus, Southern Forces (i.e.,Viet Cong) were around 22% of the total military deaths. What percentage of the remaining 849,000 North Vietnamese Regulars died in South Vietnam is unknown. The assumption is the vast majority of these deaths occurred in South Vietnam.
[edit] Civilian Deaths

R.J. Rummel’s mid-level estimated that 65,000 North Vietnamese Civilians died from 1960-1975.[27] t

The Vietnamese government in 1995 estimated that 2,000,000 Vietnamese civilians on both sides died in the war.[4] Overall figures for North Vietnamese civilian dead range from 50,000[1] to several hundred thousand.
[edit] Specific Incident

Complete statistics for the American bombings of North Vietnam are unavailable. As noted above estimates of total 1957 to 1975 North Vietnamese civilian deaths caused by American bombing range from Rummel’s low estimate of 52,000, his mid-level estimate of 65,000, his high level estimate of 70,000.[1] There is a separate PBS estimate that the 3.5 year Operation Rolling Thunder killed 182,000 civilians, with an additional 20,000 Chinese troops.[28]
[edit] United States Armed Forces

Casualties as of 1 June 2011:

58,272 KIA or non-combat deaths (including the missing & deaths in captivity)[29]
303,644 WIA (including 153,303 who required hospitalization and 150,341 who didn’t)[30]
1,687 MIA (originally 2,646)[31]
866 POW (765 released, 36 escaped,[32] 65 died in captivity[33])

But Keating was more than a constituent to McCain–he was a longtime friend and associate. McCain met Keating in 1981 at a Navy League dinner in Arizona where McCain was the speaker. Keating was a former naval aviator himself, and the two men became friends. Keating raised money for McCain’s two congressional campaigns in 1982 and 1984, and for McCain’s 1986 Senate bid. By 1987, McCain campaigns had received $112,000 from Keating, his relatives, and his employees–the most received by any of the Keating Five. (Keating raised a total of $300,000 for the five senators.)

After McCain’s election to the House in 1982, he and his family made at least nine trips at Keating’s expense, three of which were to Keating’s Bahamas retreat. McCain did not disclose the trips (as he was required to under House rules) until the scandal broke in 1989. At that point, he paid Keating $13,433 for the flights.

And in April 1986, one year before the meeting with the regulators, McCain’s wife, Cindy, and her father invested $359,100 in a Keating strip mall.

A constant theme of the Occupy Wall St protest has been the use of wrongful arrest as a tactic to suppress lawful dissent. A characteristic of Fascism is the suppression of all dissent to the ruling elite from whatever source. This article lays out in simple terms how far down the track to despotism you have come, when Senators can suggest such a thing and remain in office.
US Senate To Vote On Bill That Will Allow The Military To Arrest Americans On American Soil And Hold Them Indefinitely

November 26, 2011
By Stephen D. Foster Jr.

Since Occupy Wall Street began, American police officers have arrested thousands of people for exercising their constitutionally protected right to protest. On Monday or Tuesday, the US Senate will vote on a bill that would give the President the ability to order the military to arrest and imprison American citizens anywhere in the world for an indefinite period of time.

A provision of S. 1867, or the National Defense Authorization Act bill, written by Senators John McCain and Carl Levin, declares American soil a battlefield and allows the President and all future Chief Executives to order the military to arrest and detain American citizens, innocent or not, without charge or trial. In other words, if this bill passes and the President signs it, OWS protesters or any American could end up arrested and indefinitely locked up by the military without the guaranteed right to due process or a speedy trial.

This bill was written in secret and approved by committee without a single hearing. Senate Republicans support the bill and enough Democrats support it to give it a great chance of passing. This provision does have opponents. President Obama has threatened to veto the bill and even Ron Paul is concerned enough to bring it up during one of the GOP debates. An amendment called the Udall Amendment has been offered by Democratic Senator Mark Udall that would delete the dangerous provision.

If you are an American citizen, protect your constitutional rights. Call your senator and tell them to approve of the Udall Amendment. No American citizen should be arrested by the military and held indefinitely without charge or trial. It’s not conducive to American values and would give the military and the government more power over the American citizenry. The last time Americans had to deal with an overreaching military was during the Revolutionary era. Because of that, the Founders included the 3rd Amendment to ban the quartering of troops during times of war and peace. Once again, Americans are under threat of dealing with a military that has more power than it should have. And it could cost us most of the freedoms we tend to take for granted.

America is NOT a battlefield. America is a free country and American citizens should not ever be arrested by the military and certainly not without being charged or getting a trial. This provision would cast aside the Constitution and put the liberties of American citizens here at home and around the world at serious risk. Please call your senator or visit this link, because this is a risk Americans cannot afford to take.

http://market-ticker.org/

What’s left folks? We have banksters stealing anything that’s not nailed down, we have two douche-nozzle Senators (including McCain who unfortunately was released from the Hanoi Hilton so he could commit violence against the Constitution here at home) trying to give The President unitary authority to become Stalin and establish his own cadre of “disappearance squads” whenever he wants (can I please request that McCain be the first one this authority is used upon so he can experience a bit more torture, since it appears his last stint was insufficient for him to obtain cognitive clarity on why it’s wrong) and we have Congress claiming to want budget discipline but intending to blow a brand new $200 billion hole in the deficit before the end of the year.

In other words they’re all liars and thieves and will steal everything — first your money, then your house, and finally should you not like that they’ll take your liberty and even your life as well.

You don’t think anybody can protest or speak out because they might be, in your opinion, a little late to the game?

By that reasoning, anybody not marching in Selma can’t be for civil rights. The recent Tea Party protests about the excesses of fed.gov spending are bogus because they occurred since 2006. The OWS protests about the collusion of fed.gov/Wall Street have no legitamancy because they happened this YEAR.

Do I have that right?

Silly me. Thought we were on the same side here, trying to wake other people up about the economic situation as well as the complete overreach of the fed.gov into all facets of society.

And they said something like this in the 1930’s………….
Herman Goring, a fascist? Maybe, but he’s our fascist. A war hero and Representative of Germany. Goring is a public figure who represents the beliefs of millions and millions of Germans and hopes to carry on the legacy of the Fatherland and German Supremacy. In short, Goring is a representative great German.

One’s enemy does not have to be evil with personally malicious designs. One’s enemy maybe be of great courage and noble character who with sincerity and the best of intentions opens the doors of hell and harm upon you, your family and your neighbors. It’s our system that has developed into an evil machine that grows more wicked each passing year and has rewarded, corrupted and turned so many of those that it has nurtured and promoted who in turn degrade the system even more. Many of whom had they been standing outside of the systems circle of seduction would condemn it or even rise against it.

John McCain is a Progressive – Just like Hilary, Bush 1 & 2, Ted Kennedy, et al.

McCain idolizes Teddy Roosevelt – who was a Progressive.

Progressive’s engage in Bernays PR tactics to subvert the American Constitution, Bill of Rights and American liberty. They cannot help themselves. They believe everyday Americans are too stupid to make independent choices..so they narrow the choices down to 3 they think are best.

We get to “choose” the best of a bad lot, as the Irish say.

Are Progressives fascists? Yes, many are. Some are not. It’s a very thin line and crossed easily, once someone signs onto the ideology that Americans need to be “managed” and are too stupid, crazy, lazy, ect. to lead independent and free lives.

Progressives have infiltrated every American institution since 1913 and are a majority in our one-party system.

They’re all pals – that’s what Conservative voters saw in 2008 and stayed home, rather than vote for McCain and support the corrupt system.

Sarah went to bat for him in 2010 – that’s the only reason he got re-elected. She campaigned for him out of loyalty, but he was undeserving of the support.

John McCain is part of this club – and uses his Viet Nam captivity as a shield or cleaver cover to implement the Progressive policies we are being inundated with today.

He’s a wily politician – not a statesman or hero. His legislative legacy will diminish his wartime heroism if history is accurately told.

He was the first person to inform me of the burning of Dresden and the purposeful killing of thousands of innocent men women and children by allied bombers and fighters and he would well know because he was there. He said they first dropped incendiary bombs on the center of the city and then as the people rushed in to put out those fires , they bombed the outskirts of the city in order to trap as many as possible in the inferno.
And those poor souls who managed to escape the inferno in a mad rush to get to the Elbe River where cut to ribbons by fighters strafing the streets.

My father-in-law as a boy was an avid hunter/sportsman but after seeing so much death and destruction over the skies of Germany , he never picked up another gun.

This act of murder by his beloved state ate at my father-in-law his entire life and he repented of this barbaric act of savagery everyday of his life right up till his death.

But , psycho-killers like McCain never feel any remorse for the pain and misery they’ve heaped upon humanity as evidenced by their participation in the continuation of the maiming and killing of the innocent, everywhere…..otherwise known as collateral damage.

Hmmm. I believe I may start referring to myself as TBP’s “King of the Kick-Starters.” If a comment thread needs to be enlivened, you can count on me to kick-start it back to life.

What is it about my comment that “I do not agree with Senator McCain on many substantive issues. I wish he would move on to private life and get the hell out of the way” that many of you don’t seem to understand?

I DO NOT agree with McCain and Carl Levin’s attempt to kick the Constitution to the curb when it comes to American citizens possible involvement in terrorism. I strongly disagreed with President Bush when Jose Padilla was sent to a military brig in South Carolina after Padilla had been arrested for his involvement in a “dirty bomb” plot.

Bush effectively suspended Padilla’s habeus corpus rights by declaring him an enemy combatant, but three years later, an Appeals Court overruled Bush. Padilla was eventually tried in a civilian court, as should have been the case from the git-go, and sentenced to 17 years.

The current McCain-Levin language in the defense bill is totally repugnant to me. It is a clear violation of the 4th and 5th Amendments to the Constitution and will not withstand judicial scrutiny. Rand Paul’s courageous challenge to these two long-entrenched and powerful senators will be vindicated.

Oh, and once again, Mary Malone’s comments above stand as a voice of reason in this thread.

@ Mary – Palin is just another useful idiot that sold out. Those commercials she made for Mr Fascist’s senate race were disgusting, ignorant, and frankly, just outright lies. F Sarah and the moose she rode in on.

BTW, McStain got reelected because he spent 26,000,000 on the PRIMARY lying about his own record and JD’s. JD only had 2 mil, do the math. That fucker Mclame was on EVERY commerical break on EVERY radio station for months. BTW, 10 mil of the 26 mil was LEFTOVER from his presidential campaign. I stand by my original assessment – ASSHOLE!

@Wyoming Mike I agree with you. Sarah should not have campaigned for McCain. He picked her for VP, but he betrayed her, and most importantly, the country.

But I think Sarah is a loyal person and thought she owed McCain for providing her with a national platform.

We may disagree about Sarah’s motivation, but we agree that McCain should not have been re-elected.

And yes, big money always wins. Kinda ironic, don’t ya think, that McCain’s campaign finance reform allowed him to keep $26M to spend on local election?

Mary, you didn’t hear the commercials, what she did went WELL past loyalty. A shame really, she was a breath of fresh air before she became corrupt. Just another failed politician on fox news.
