LLPOH’s Grim Reality #2

This is an adjunct to Grim Reality #1. The following article, from The Washington Post, details how the US has lost some 687,000 high tech jobs in the last ten years – a decline of 28%. These jobs have gone to – you guessed it – China.

 http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/us-losing-high-tech-manufacturing-jobs-to-asia/2012/01/17/gIQA9P1S6P_story.html?hpid=z4

Some salient points, in addition to the job losses, include:

– Research and development expenditures in China now matches that of the US. Of course, given their cost advantage, that implies that they are spending vastly more man-hours on R+D than is the US. Additionally, nine other nations world-wide now spend as much as the US on R+D.

– Doctoral degrees in engineering in China have doubled in the ten years and their output in this area now far exceeds that of the US. No surprise there.

– US multinationals are hiring great numbers of overseas research workers

– “Although the long decline of manufacturing employment in the United States is often attributed to the cheaper wages in developing countries, China and developing countries in Asia have in recent years sought to lure more sophisticated manufacturing operations — and better jobs — by expanding their engineering prowess through government investment in education and research.” Government investment in education and research – now there is a thought. Bet they aren’t investing in art history.

– It also says that China’s cost advantage is shrinking. However, it attributes a lot of that to America’s automation of its factories, which reduces labor cost per unit. So there is not a lot of joy there.

So, in sum, the US is under attack not only in manufacturing but in high tech as well. And service jobs (IT/accounting/etc.) are also under attack, but that is a story for another day. Oh happy days are here again.

Has the Year of the Dragon have you breathing hot air, Mistuh LLPOH?

I could go on and on, but something doesn’t seem right…. there’s GOT to be something that China is hiding:

Other than the strikes.

Other than the deadly pollution.

Other than the food shortages.

Other than their “cash” being chewed in half over a year.

What could it be?

Other than they hate foreigners and wouldn’t hesitate to steal their capital goods, technology and accounts on a dime….

Colma – stealing from White Devils is not a crime in China. The only rule is to win.

I am quite negative about things as I believe things will not change until the world explodes.

However, I do believe that the American people could overcome this crisis if their freedoms were returned to them. If they were free to succeed or to fail, and to incur the gain or consequence. If they were freed from supporting big government. If they were freed from the massive incurrsion of debt. If they were freed from mandatory charitable contribution to the unworthy instead of just to those truly in need. If they were freed from the burdens of war. If they were freed from support of failed entities. If they were freed from non-constitutional acts. If they were freed I know the people could overcome. I know it for sure and certain.

But we will not see freedom again, I am afraid. As most people prefer to be safely enslaved. They just do not know that their safety is an illusion. And that the magicians bag of tricks is nearly exhausted.

I noticed in links to stats I posted in the other one that South Korea is another we have a trade deficit with. And I suspect there are other common factors.

Freedom is useless when you’re unable to exercise it because there is no opportunity. Ask anyone under 30.

It’s not the economy, it’s jobs.

We still have freedom, it’s the surveillance capacity of the NWO with the potential for nefarious use that is of particular concern.

I’m surfing the web to teach myself to repair my own vacuum. Am learning what the guts of my 700 dollar vacuum looks like…

I just read about a Japanese kid who hacked his romba and now he can control it with his wii fit board… How many kids in america could do that? Not me… Can’t even fix the thing.
