Yet there are still people out there who think that Obama is doing a great job and plan to vote for him. Again! Say what you will about Romney, this guy at least has solid experience in business and goverment in turning around troubled problems. (***cue flash attack***)
This country can survive a “leader” like Obama for 4 years but we cannot survive a nation full of people too stupid, delusional, uninformed and greedy as the typical Obama voter. And that is the real reason WE ARE DOOMED.
Obama is going for the Moron Vote with his (pandering) campaigning in Hollywood, college campuses and the inner city. Sheeit, he’ll probably win.
Oops, I guess Obama has not been to the inner city CUZ THERE ISN’T ANYBODY THAT CAN PAY $40,000/seat TO HEAR HIM BLOVIATE. Perhaps that is why he went to The View instead of meeting with some world leaders while they were in town at the UN. Fuck, Obama would rather be “eye candy” for The View’s readership that sit down with the world’s leaders and try to hammer out some kind of solutions. What a fucking pathetic excuse for a President.
And where the fuck is the media??? Oh, I forgot, they are too busy screaming about Romney’s tax returns and about what a hypocrite he is for paying MORE taxes than he had to. Not a peep about the dismal economy, the complete collapse of Obama’s foreign policy and the imminent collapse of the US economy, among other problems.
Honestly, I just can’t take it any more, I just cannot. Time to re-inventory my preps and SHTF plan.
Don’t worry your empty little neo-con head.
I’m sure Romney will sort it all out.
Everyone over 18 will have a job paying 5 thousand back to the US Treasury for expansion of ME/NA wars and oil will surely be discovered in all 51 states
Also, not mentioned are people like my friend Dennis – a man in his early 60′s and a former mid level executive that was making a six figure income. His ass was “downsized” in 2008 and now he works two part time shit bag jobs to survive. He cashed out his retirement and paid off his mortgage – he considers himself to be one of the lucky ones.
I still find it amusing to see all the attacks back and forth over which party/president is better or worse. The whole system is screwed. Whoever wins this election (or the next if Obama is re-elected) will inherit a trashed economy. Obama inherited a trashed economy from Bush Jr., who inherited a trashed economy from Clinton all the way back to, hell, go back to the Gilded Age at least. Ever since the Robber Barons got their fingers into the public till the economy has been slipping furhter and further away from anything resembling a free market. Both parties loot the system to satisfy their base and win elections.
Left or right makes no difference in the real world, pick your flavor of statism and authoritarianism. The left will regulate us to death to keep us safe from ourselves, the religious right will tell us what we have to believe and how to live our private wives (hands off your nasty little body or someone elses) and the Military/Industrial/Security Complex will always find a new enemy that needs to be destroyed so we must pay for their latest boondoggle.
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville
Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There was never a democracy that did not commit suicide.
As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. H.L. Mencken
“The whole aim of practical
politics is to keep the populace
alarmed (and hence clamorous
to be led to safety) by menacing
it with an endless series of
hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
Here is the other thing that bothers me about all of this back and forth. We always blame the president, who ever he is, for things that are really beyond his control or constitutional authority. The president can propose a budget and spending projects, but only Congress can authorize them and appropriate the funds (Yes, I know the executive branch has seized way more power than the founders imagined, but again, who is responsible for that? Congress and of course by extension, all of us as citizens.
Why Plane Windows Don’t Roll Down, as Romney Would Like -
by Life’s Little Mysteries Staff | LiveScience.com –
In his latest gaffe, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney lamented the fact that airplane windows don’t roll down.
Romney’s wife Ann’s plane had to make an emergency landing Friday (Sept. 21) because of an electrical malfunction. Discussing the incident at a fundraiser the next day, he said: “When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s none — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous.”
Here’s why they don’t do that if you don’t already know.
Admin – exactly, Congress has not passed a budget. Instead of acting as Public Servants, Congress is all about politics (not that anyone around here needs to be reminded of that.) and getting re-elected. W had a Republican Congress and screwed the economy, Obama had a Democrat controlled Congress and screwed the economy. Neither party can get it right. In almost any potential scenario, anything either candidate or party does amounts to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
Flash, when Romney came into office the MA unemployment rate was 5.6%, less than the average U.S. rate. When he left office, the MA rates was 4.7%, the same as the average U.S. rate. Now, since 4.5% is considered full employment I don’t think he was a failure.
I agree with Ryan. You guys are all getting distracted by the theatre. Obama = Bush = Romney. Doesn’t matter which of these corporate tools were in power, the same screwing of all on behalf of the ultra-wealthy would result.
You are either arguing about 1% of difference in policy or you don’t like Obama because you are fucking racists who don’t have the guts to admit you’re fucking racists.
Go off on Obama for being a corrupt and shit president (just like W, btw), not the fact that he’s half black. Or proudly wave your confederate flags so everyone can see what racist asses you truly are.
