“The only legitimate consumer is the producer.” Ayn Rand This is a restatement of Says Law without credit given to J B Say. This should be self evident; one person on an island cannot consume more than he produces. There will be no manna from heaven. If you extrapolate forward you can see the truth of this statement.
A second person comes to the island and starts the division of labor. The American Indians developed the perfect system for the division of labor, the men hunted and fished all day and had sex all night. The woman did all the rest.
A third person arrived packing heat and announced – “I’m from the government and am here to help. Do you want it with Vaseline?” So the two productive people were now producing for three. Soon more government help arrived along with FSA from neighboring islands.
The two productive people could not produce enough to sustain all the government help and the FSA and as the FSA and government help didn’t know how to produce anything, only consume, shortages developed. As the Laws of Nature could not be changed, survival being number one, cannibalism developed and the productive were eaten first followed by the FSA since the government help had the guns. This worked until the last government helper died of starvation.
Is this the path we are on and will this be the Final Solution? Will we turn this country intoEaster Islandinhabited by clones of the Donner Party? Or will some go Gault and start over with the perfect system as developed by the American Indians?
