I love this place. I get to swear without censorship … and use cool words like “faux” …. while ass slamming a very well known sports-celeb …. hopefully to tens of thousands of readers.
I despise, hate, loathe Tebow about as much as any sports figure in recent history. I despise IN-YOUR-FACE Christians who believe it’s their god-given right to shove their beliefs down our collective throats — like those goddamn scripture verses he paints on his face. Like that dipshit guy from the 1990’s, the guy with the rainbow wig holding up John 3:16 signs at virtually every televised baseball game. I kept praying a Derek Jeter line drive would knock all this ass-clown’s teeth out. Apparently, God does not answer all sports related prayers.
I despise Tebow and his Christian ilk amigos who actually think that in the midst of a world with millions of sick, hungry, and dying children … and if Christian doctrine is to believed, literally billions of people headed towards an eternity of torture and pain in hellfire …. that a loving, just, and all-wise God actually gives a FLYING FUCK about a sporting event. Tebow kneeling and raising his hands towards heaven after a touchdown pass makes me want to vomit in my mouth. I can picture Jeebus saying to his Father, — “Christ almighty, dad, shouldn’t we just kill that fucking douchebag?”
I don’t know why so many Americans … TBPers included …. Have such a “love affair” with professional sports personalities. Most of these guys are true 1%ers …. making tens of millions of dollars per year … for doing nothing more than putting a circular object in a hoop, or a net, or a goal, or over the fence, or whatever. I love my IU Hoosier basketball team … enormously. But once Eric Gordan went pro, I couldn’t give a fuck. When Zeller and Oladipo go pro, I won’t give a fuck (although it will be interesting to see if Oladipo becomes the next MJ or Dwayne Wade.). We practically worship pro athletes. WTF is wrong with you people? You are committing idolatry. You will burn in hell, fer sure. Fuck pro athletes! Professional sports adoration bears significant responsibility for the cultural decline of America.
So, what say you?? You don’t have to limit your response to Tebow. Use this god given opportunity to hate on ANY athlete in any sport … or even their sycophant supporters, … the announcers. For example, I also despise ESPN’s Mike Wilbon. That faggotfuck had a lip-lock on Obama’s cock this past election … while mocking Tea Party, Repubs, and conservatives with a vengeance. On the plus side, I no longer watch his bullshit show, thereby freeing up my time for more productive ventures … like posting this thread. Ha!
Say something, hate somebody.
TIM TEBOW BETRAYS THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT
“While I was looking forward to sharing a message of hope and Christ’s unconditional love with the faithful members of the historic First Baptist Church of Dallas in April, due to new information that has been brought to my attention, I have decided to cancel my upcoming appearance. I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Faith, Hope and Love to all those needing a brighter day. Thank you for all of your love and support. God Bless!”
————- Tim “anti-HersheyHighway” Tebow
He gained a few unexpected fans in the gay community today, but notoriously God-fearing quarterback Tim Tebow may have scared off the very supporters who saw him as a Christian celebrity even as his NFL career has fizzled — they’re calling his about-face on an anti-gay marriage pastor “disastrous,” and declaring “his street cred with the evangelical community” all but gone.
On Thursday morning, via a string of tweets, [ SEE ABOVE ] the backup QB for the New York Jets (for now, at least) cancelled an upcoming appearance at the First Baptist Church in Dallas. Tebow’s second-guessing followed reports that First Baptist pastor Robert Jeffress attacked gay marriage, Islam, and Mormonism in several recorded sermons. The turnaround surprised many of Tebow’s critics — who have noted his support for the vehemently anti-gay organization Focus on the Family — and, in equal measure, left some of his more vocal supporters on the Christian right more than gobsmacked. The influential conservative radio host Bryan Fischer, for one, called Tebow a “coward”:
The pastor of First Baptist, Robert Jeffress, shared Fischer’s sense of betrayal — according to Fox News Radio, he interpreted Tebow’s cancellation as an affront to his church’s values:
“To me, the real issue here is the controversy this has generated,” Jeffress said. “It’s amazing that a church that believes faith alone in Christ is what saves a person and that sex should be between a man and a woman in a marriage relationship – that somehow those beliefs are considered hate speech? That is historic Christian doctrine for the past 2,000 years.”
