Well let’s see I mentioned the NSA spying scandal to a good friend and his response was “I don’t care”. Then I said well have you considered that even though you believe you have nothing to hide if you were a Supreme Court justice or a Congressperson then you could be bribed into voting a certain way. He then said, Hmmm, I hadn’t thought about that.

Then my other friend started defending Trayvon. I pointed out that he was beating up the guy when he got shot and that if someone I didn’t know was in my neighborhood at night and there had been robberies recently then I would probably confront someone and ask what they were doing in my neighborhood and if they started hitting me and bashing my head against the ground I would feel justified using deadly force against that person. I tried to point out how the media had portrayed him as an innocent young 12 year old when in reality his fb page showed his true colors.
I had to tell him to STOP listening to the MSM lies that he was falling for their propaganda and agenda. I tried to point out that if there are riots when he is acquitted(which he will be) then it will be the MSM’s fault for trying to portray the story one way in order to repeal a gun law that they don’t like. Our schools don’t teach kids to do arithmetic in their heads any more. That went away when they allowed kids to bring calculators to math class. Purportedly to make it easier for kids to learn. Instead it made them dumber and dependent on a external device instead of their own intellect.

I’m not worried about losing friends, the first friend was the best man at my wedding and he actually seemed to think about it when I mentioned the Supreme Court Justices being spied on and blackmailed. He’s a good guy, not the brightest and respects my opinion so I will continue to work on him.
The other friend used to be very anti establishment when we were in college together, now he says stuff like – We can’t allow people to starve in America, and Wouldn’t it be better to have fat people walk up to the store for another drink rather than have one big drink?
He is really starting to piss me off because he is smarter than that but has been brainwashed by the MSM. I asked him one day, where the hell do you get your news. He said, oh the usual places, NY Times, Wash Post, NPR. I tried to explain to him the liberal bias and he just didn’t get it. In fairness when I first started awakening I didn’t get it either, but now every time I listen to them I hear the message loud and clear. Not sure at what point I began to recognize the bias, as I used to listen to NPR and didn’t hear it, but now I can’t even listen to any MSM without seeing it.
Funny thing is I have convinced him that there is an economic collapse coming and he does want to leave the country but he doesn’t understand how the liberal idiotology is ruining the country. Not to brag, but I am a CPA in Florida so the do listen to what I have to say, they just don’t quite get it because they are not watching alternative media.
It’s funny I remember seeing Alex Jones videos on youtube years ago and I was just conditioned to think “This guys crazy”. I had never listened to him or read his site but I just knew “he was crazy”. So I have managed to get a few liberal folks to begin to question things and if there is any commonality it would be an inability to tolerate contradictions – comparing what they “hear” and then seeing what actually “happens” has raised some real flags – when I see the cognitive dissonance, the confusion, and then inevitably the sorrow I know I have hit pay-dirt.
