HOW MANY FREE SHITTERS IN YOUR COUNTY?

Hat tip to Hope.

Only 5% of the population in my county is on SNAP. But the number has gone up by 230% since 2000. The population of my county is up about 3% since 2000.

In the urban kill zone of Philadelphia, the total is 27%. They don’t break it out by sections of the city, but I would bet that the 30 Blocks of Squalor exceeds 50%.

I wonder what the 450,000 Phila SNAP recipients will do when their pretty little SNAP cards stop working?

The unsustainable cannot be sustained.

Since the turn of the millennium, participation in the food stamp program, known officially as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, has more than doubled to 15 percent of all U.S. residents in January. In some parts of the country, as few as 1 in 20 people receive food stamps. In others, the figure is more than 1 in 3. Low-income households that meet SNAP eligibility requirements receive a payment card that can only be used to buy government-approved essential foods.

Under President Obama’s watch, the value of the benefits distributed by the program each year has more than doubled as more people have fallen below the poverty line and more households have joined the program. Obama has expanded eligibility under the theory that it helps the economy, which led Newt Gingrich to dub him the “food stamp president” early in the 2012 election season. Due to the high unemployment rate, the Obama administration has also waived a 1996 job requirement—a rule that made finding a job or enrolling in job training a prerequisite for receiving SNAP benefits—for 46 states. Republican leaders are trying to reinstate the requirement to counteract the program’s escalating cost.

To find out how many people participate in the program in your area and how that number has changed since 2000, enter your ZIP code, city, or county and state in the link below.

13% in the solid blue State Capital where I live. Only 8% in the red county where I work.

But nobody is buying much sushi on the average benefit of 120 bucks a month. Inflation will make that worthless long before the government collapses.

“15% of the entire country is on food stamps, so you are above average.”

I like to think I’m doing my part by encouraging as many as I can to sign up. The instant I become unemployed, I’m hiring a pro to get me ALL my entitlements bitchez!

Still, based on my own observations after living here for 20 years, I really thought both numbers would be higher

“Couldn’t this number be misleading? Generally one person receiving SNAP benefits feeds more than one person. I had a neighbor once that was had EBT and she fed her and her gf and sometimes would trade the remainder of the balance for beer and whatnot.”

In my county the average benefit is just $115 and I’m not sure you could feed one adult for a month on that. All the fast food places around here accept food stamps and I sincerely doubt the would last a week buying that crap.

“Would it be wrong to say something? I make less than 16k a year. I still use a flip phone. I drive a 2000 Toyota sedan and can afford to eat sushi maybe once a month.”

It is never wrong to say anything on TBP. What you can say and defend here is directly proportional to the thickness of your skin and the nimbleness of your feet. If you lack the first, then you should consider enrolling in tap dancing lessons.

As for buying sushi (gag) once a month on your earnings, I highly recommend redirecting that spending on pickles and pretzels. Sushi is for sissies.

Olga, thanks for the Wake Co numbers. 2 TBPers against the tide. Or odds just went up 100%. Maybe a TBP night out? But I digress.

County, hell! On my street nobody works! It’s a towhome development and unfortunately, my immediate neighbors are all renters and treat the place like their own private block party. WTF ?

WHen SHTF they’ll be looting the neighborhood.

According to that map, Crook County, IL, my home, is 16% “free shitters”.

That figure does not, of course, include the armies of Crook County, City of Chicago, State of IL, and Fed gov employees, who get far more in salaries and bennies than the moochers on ADC and SSI disability.

If I have to choose between the two, I’ll take the “free shitters” if I could be rid of all the city, county, and other government drones, anytime. At least the FSA might spend their SNAP benefits and SSI checks on my merchandise.

The city and county drones do far worse. Not only do they take a lot more money, but they cause a lot more trouble. They harass, obstruct, and persecute every small business that does not belong to some politician’s crony. They bloody LIVE to make life miserable for every small mom-and-pop establishment, and it gladdens their hearts to put these struggling little places out of business.

@I_S, you are slightly missing the reality.

The way I see it going down is that the women have kids and meet new boyfriends. Women are living on welfare, state is paying for the apartment/house, education, health care and food stamps. Boyfriend works, either a lot, or a little, he never changes his legal address to the girlfriends.

IF there are any baby daddies to be found, they are charged child support and most of the support is sent directly to the state or the baby daddy goes to jail – which the state also pays for.

Meanwhile the new boyfriend is eating jumbo shrimp and drinking Coca-Cola bought with the foodstamps, while he pays the cable and buys shiny gadgets to keep the babies occupied while him and momma get it on and make a few more.

Time and time and time, again.

The reason why is easy. The guy isn’t making enough money to actually support a family and welfare doesn’t pay cash benes (to many recipients) and reality is that heat, cable, tampons and toilet paper – let alone clothes for growing children – have to be purchased with cash. So we humans find a solution to the problem that many of us that continue to do the right thing resent.

THIS is the real reason why food stamps are exploding and marital rates are crashing.

Most of us choose to blame the victims and the atheists/liberals instead of the FACT that a family CANNOT survive on the jobs available anymore.

Fiat on folks, this shit is just starting to get critical.

Thank you Chicago!

The federal PENSIONS dwarf Social Security promises, yet we continue to allow the conversation to focus on the victims instead of those that have created them.

I am surrounded by gubment parasites of all flavors. Detroit city firefighters and cops, Oakland (ritzy, salaries reflect it) County supervisor, a handful of teachers and then auto workers.

There is no way that the few hundred dollars per family a month for 20% of the population outweighs the THOUSANDS for LIFE to what is – in Michigan – over 25% of the population.

But we – my fellow countrymen – continue to decry the mother and do nothing about the pending disaster in federal, state, local, and the few remaining private, pension plans.

Actually, SSS I am wondering out loud whether it would be appropriate to say something directly to these Yahoos who use EBT to finance their junk food addition. I spend a lot of time in different convenience stores throughout my County (Job).
I see whole families grab donuts, ding-dongs, chips, soda, hot dogs for breakfast and then whip out the EBT card.
$15 for Sushi Lunch on EBT? Really?
When I go to the smaller independently owned food markets-they have some thing going on where only half of the items are rung up and then they put a balance in a book…I can’t figure it out-yet! But I know something is going on as I watch the EBT Shitters get into their big nice cars.
Both my husband and I have seen our incomes decline by 45%. We’ve adjusted by going without shit we don’t absolutely have to have.
As I watch more and more people whip out their EBT cards to purchase their daily junk rations I wonder how long it is before I completely lose it and beat the shit out one them.
And that’s why I come here to the TBP. This has been in some ways my saving grace!
So, thanks to JQ and the rest of you here!

Donket,

I didn’t intend to be intrusive with my question. I was just curious as to where the EBT fraud is most rampant. The logical choice would be the big cities. Thanks for your comments. Hang in there.

S.E. Virginia is full of free shitters, mostly niggers, but not all. It is an unsustainable system mainly because the niggers reproduce like tribbles here. It’s really a pretty hopeless, basically dystopian situation. Voting for some coot with a red ball cap won’t achieve much. It’s OVER.
