This is too damn funny. Republican Dave Wilson managed to convince a black Democratic electorate that he was black by using a range of advertisements featuring black photos, voices, etc., and subsequently won the election. He is unapologetic. I suppose that is fair, given that Obama swayed a lot of votes by convincing folks he was more or less white (when in fact he is red through and through).

Also reminds me of a time in college when I had a man-hating, gentile-hating writing teacher. Papers were typed and graded anonymously. On my second big paper I used “she” instead of “he” for all uses of that pronoun. Got an A, which I didn’t get on papers before or after (though I had received A’s on papers in all other classes prior to and during that term). I felt that I’d proved my theory.
This takes the phrase “low information voter” to an even lower level.
One guy commented that he Googled “Dave Wilson Houston” and got plenty of hits showing a photo of Wilson who is clearly white. Another guy noted that Wilson sent out flyers that had several photos of smiling African Americans (which Wilson admits that he just lifted off the Internet) and the caption “Please vote for our friend and neighbor Dave Wilson.”
