Hip, Hip, Hooray for the SATANIC MONUMENT

Just in time for Christmas …. Satanists in Oklahoma want to erect a Satanic Monument right next to The Ten Commandments.

GASP!!! Chriss-chuns, Joos,  and Mooslims everywhere are ready to proclaim “The End Is Near!!”.

I don’t know if it will contain the same Commandments as the Georgia Guidestones.  Let’s assume they will. Here are the Satanic Commandments … with my brief comments.

================================================================= =

1 – Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

—– OK. 500m seems a little low.  I’m OK with 1 Billion … as long as myself and loved ones are Chosen.

2- Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.

—– Not OK.  I freak out whenever I see “diversity”. And I don’t like rubbers. Can’t open ’em in time.

3- Unite humanity with a living new language.

—– Not OK.  Unless it’s Klingon, a beautiful language.   Other than that, it’s a pipe-dream bullshit goal.

4- Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.

—- OK.  Tempered Reason is The One Big Thing that’s missing ……. from religious people.

5- Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

—- OK!!!  I love Satanists for this reason alone.

6- Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

—- Not OK!!  Last fuckin’ thing we need!  I ain’t lettin’ no fuckin’ Chinks determine my fate.

7- Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

— OK!!!  I love Satanists for this reason alone.  Can we start by shooting everyone in CONgress?

8- Balance personal rights with social duties.

—- Not OK.  Legislating “social duties”  generally fails big time.  Blow me. Start with that duty.

9- Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.

—- WTF?  Why are Satanists mentioning “the infinite”?? What is truth?

10 – Be not a cancer on the Earth – leave room for nature.

—- WTF?  I have no idea what the fuck this means.

================================================================= =

As the title indicates, I am 100% in favor of Satanists having their own dumb-ass laws/statue right next to the Ten Commandments.   What say you?  How Libertarian are you, really?

A satanic monument for a Satanic country. They should put one up at the White House, home of the antichrist.

Klingon as the world language, HaHaHaHaHa!

If a group of believers want to put up a statue of Aquaman to worship, who cares? Satan or the king of the sea, both are the same to me, build it. Don’t care.
As long as my tax dollars are not used that is.

Satanism is, by logical extension, the inverse of Christianity. so that the satanic verses would require you to worship anyone and anything other than god, curse your parents, hate your neighbors as yourself, covet their property and by all means, kill rob, steal, commit adultery and just have a wild time while lying and blaming one another.

Well let’s see, Satan doesn’t like Jews, and known as Lucifer is the agent of enlightenment, i.e. the light bringer. Sounds like my kind of guy. On a serious note, there is a zoroastrian collorary except Xvarnah is not an entity but a status, i.e. the light of glory. I think the jews just fucked up their interpretation of zoroastrianism when they copied it, as they do in most things.

Herr Stucky,

I meant that logically speaking, if Satan is the enemy of God, he would not espouse any law that supports the worship of God. For if Satan opposes himself, his end has come. therefore, Satan cannot promulgate the worship of one Diety but many. Wicca qualifies in this respect, it is the worship of multiple ‘gods’.

I cannot address the fact there are thousands of civilizations, tribes, that as yet do not have exposure to Christian thought but I seem to recall Descartes reasoned a way to discern God, he said something like, if I imagine a god without flaw, without fault, I can begin to describe God.

Excellent being though Lucifer was, he had ambition (As the wise man said to his student, a man who desires to be perfectly free of desire is still imperfect because of that desire.) and that was like a smudge that ruined his beauty. Satan tempted the messiah with the very things that brought Lucifer down. It did not work.

I may have lied, cheated or stolen, but only little lies, and little thefts like cookies, those are as big a crime as murder, hopefully, you won’t find me pointing the finger at peeps, I have my own blasted soul to worry about. Have I not said before, I don’t care if you go to hell, it’s your choice (I was not referring to you).

okay, supposedly Lucifer [most likely from a scribal error by jeremy ] comes from the words lucem [light or fire and ferrre, holder or bringer]

Jesus, from the sermon on the mount, said in the King James version, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Now Venus is the morning star [just a planet actually]

Was Jesus the fallen angel?

Is your saviour the devil?

How can a fallen angel regain their former position?

Are the Satanists actually for Jesus?

Enquiring minds want to know…

Venus is seen, as the bringer of light, when it rises before the sun, or morning star, and often the reverse as the evening star, as also it falls before the sun, being seen as a fallen angel.

my buddy said that Lucifer is called the son of the morning. Jesus uses his reference to the morning star to convey that since the morning star points to north, it is the way to orient yourself.

maybe Stuck can clear this up for you.

yes, venus is a planet still although pluto is no longer. both are figures of speech, son of the morning to describe one who was in the picture early on. the second, morning star, refers to the navigational light that shows where north is. a planet is by early definition a wandering star, most heavenly bodies before Copernicus or Galileo were supposed to be the same – stars – they all moved round the earth.

Obvious troll is obvious…

Don’t give them the attention they crave… blow it off.

They’ll put up their little faggy statue or whatever, and then leave…

After they leave, hook a chain to it and drag it to the nearest landfill…

And ain’t nobody seen nuthin’….

You have to recall juan, that the people of this time did not have the ability that we do of today. Even so we understand very little of our reality no matter what physicists say.

Is their a higher power?

I think so.

So why is this a problem to Christians? Christians now generally believe that Satan (or the Devil or Lucifer who they equate with Satan) is a being who has always existed (or who was created at or near the “beginning”). Therefore, they also think that the ‘prophets’ of the Old Testament believed in this creature. The Isaiah scripture is used as proof (and has been used as such for hundreds of years now). As Elaine Pagels explains though, the concept of Satan has evolved over the years and the early Bible writers didn’t believe in or teach such a doctrine.

The irony for those who believe that “Lucifer” refers to Satan is that the same title (‘morning star’ or ‘light-bearer’) is used to refer to Jesus, in 2 Peter 1:19, where the Greek text has exactly the same term: ‘phos-phoros’ ‘light-bearer.’ This is also the term used for Jesus in Revelation 22:16.
The actual name, “Lucifer,” goes back to the Greeks, before the Romans. Socrates and Plato talk about this “god of light”; surprisingly, not in the context of Eos (god of Dawn), but — as a morning star — juxtaposed with the sun (Helios) and Hermes. This information can be found in Plato’s Timaeus (38e)

Remember playing the telephone game as kids, where someone whispers a phrase or sentence in ones ear and they whisper it in the next persons ear and at the end its nothing like what the sentence or phrase began as….

Yeh it i s like that with Lucifer / Satan.

The government cannot choose Christianity over Satanism, but society can. The fact that Satanism feels that it’s socially acceptable to ask for it’s commandments to be displayed beside the Ten Commandments only shows how badly our society has come undone.

Veddy interesting, KB, but as soon as I saw the LDS reference I did a bitcoin snarl. Mormons actually believe Satan is the brother of Jesus and that Joseph Smith will spring them from hell when their time is up to be exalted and assume a physical body once more to inhabit their own planet. It’s all quite interesting but I prefer to stay in the place that makes sense to me, Christianity, that precious gift we got from the white man, thanks, KB, really.

Your point give a sharp edge to AWD’s POV. While I try to resist seeing the truth of his vitriol, I see that the pendulum has swung too far, farther than I cared to admit, farther than the original intent of our 60’s hope. I guess that is why youthful radicals become old reactionaries.
