EMBRACE THE SUCK

Yes, actual words from Nancy “Botox” Pelosi. Almost as good as “we have to pass Obamacare to find out what’s in it”.

Democrats are pissed because there won’t be unlimited paid vacations (unemployment benefits) and other free shit.
Republicans are pissed because it wipes out all the sequester spending cuts.

Our government is a joke, plain and simple. It’s beyond belief, and just gets worse every day.

“Embrace the suck” indeed.

Pelosi on budget deal: ‘Embrace the suck’

By Geoff Earle December 12, 2013

WASHINGTON – It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement of the budget deal.

“Embrace the suck,” House minority leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi told fellow Democrats Thursday morning, a source told Politico.

“We need to get this off the table so we can go forward,” she added. It’s a way of telling her colleagues the budget deal negotiated with Republicans is the best they can get.

Democrats are fuming that the bipartisan budget deal doesn’t extend unemployment benefits for more than a million Americans.

One of Pelosi’s top lieutenants, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, the top Democrat on the House Budget Committee, said Thursday it was “too early to say” whether most Democrats would back the deal, in an appearance on the Bill Press show.

To pass the House, it will need to get a bipartisan majority of votes.

The deal, negotiated by conservative House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan and Senate Budget chair Patty Murray (D-Wash.) puts off most of the looming “sequester” budget cuts.

It shaves about $23 billion from the deficit, but provides for $85 billion in new spending over a decade, funded through cost savings and fees slapped on air travel and Medicare providers.

A group of conservative groups is blasting the deal for blowing through spending limits, and numerous Senate conservatives have come out against it.

House Speaker John Boehner laced into conservative groups for a second day in a row Thursday.

“I think they’re pushing our members in places where they don’t want to be, and frankly I just think that they’ve lost all credibility,” Boehner fumed.

The House is set to vote on the budget Thursday.

Awww, poor Nancy, she must not like living under the same rules of reality the rest of us deal with.

Nearly every law she has ever backed has “suck”ed for the bulk of the productive (not for the connected, rich, that pay for her ass).

We have been living “embrace the suck” for a long, long, time.

And, I fear, we haven’t seen anything yet.

AWD,
NPR did a segment on the dwindling middle class, picked Lincoln Il. Been there many times, deer hunted just west, spent many a night in bars and restaurants there.

http://www.npr.org/2013/11/12/242999770/reinventing-the-dwindling-middle-class-may-take-a-revolution

Calling for revolution. Embrace the suck.

Richard Longworth, a fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, wrote a book about the struggling Midwest called Caught in the Middle: America’s Heartland in the Age of Globalism. He says America’s declining middle class means small towns are starting to have a lot more in common with crime-prone neighborhoods in big cities.

He also says towns like Lincoln need to realize this is not just about the recession. This is about a long, slow decline.

“The earth isn’t going to open up and swallow them,” he said. “They’ll survive, but they’ll be backwaters, getting ever more what you saw: shrinking in population, population older, young families not moving in, high school grads like yourself moving away to seek their fortune somewhere else.”

Longworth says for communities to survive in this new reality, they’ll have to reinvent themselves — try to keep the factory alive, attract people who are willing to work the lower-wage jobs.

Otherwise, what happens to towns like Lincoln will be just another episode in what he says is a major societal upheaval.

“I grew up in a middle-class America where we pretty much knew life was an escalator,” he said. “You got on the bottom step, and if you behaved yourself, paid your dues, went to work, worked hard — you’d end up at the top of the escalator. And I think that escalator’s broken now. It’s a tougher scramble.”

How to cover that upheaval, I ask?

“You’ve covered revolutions before,” he said. “Treat it like just another damn revolution.”

That NPR story reminds me of the town I grew up in. It has been in decline since who knows when, but I figure it peaked somewhere in the 50’s and has been trudging downhill ever since.

More and more plants are closing, less and less jobs in the area, and just a downward spiral.

The Dems are letting this budget thing go becuz they are gearing up for their “final solution” when obongocare crashes and takes the economy with it.

The Dems have no intention of having elections in 2014 if it looks like they are going lose the Senate.

Trust me. There is going to some kind of “emergency”, which will allow Obongo to activate some of his Executive Orders. Now is a good time to review them.

That Obongo has brought in John Podesta to help out means that the Dems already know they are going to get hammered if 2014 midterms Are held. Podesta is the king of justifying Presidential Exec orders to do end runs around CONgress.

So we are facing either no elections and obongo ruling with emergency powers or obongo ruling with EO’s and bypassing Repub house and Senate.

Sic semper tyrannis.

Gee Nancy, the former middle class and perpetually impoverished have been “embracing the suck” for decades. Oh, and speaking of suck, you look like a dead pimps penis that was sucked far too much. Forget plastic surgery, you’re gonna need a zip tie applied tightly around your neck until everything above the zip tie goes necrotic and falls off to realize any lasting improvement. Happy Winter Holidays you narcissistic bitch.

LOL! I guess if you can tolerate searching for and posting those fat fuck pictures, you can certainly tolerate that. You are one amazing guy AWD!

S. Carolina, Fort Sumter, fired the first shots that began the war between the states.

A new S. Carolina bill considered that other states will follow and succeed from the ACA.

Interesting…..

AWD: good advice but a head that ugly belongs on a pike in the front yard. Also, the “embrace the Suck” bullshit could only come from a dried up old douchebag like Pelosium. Thanks Kali!
