You must obey! – Be very honest, what would you do if you were in the same situation if you resided in Connecticut? Would you have been in the same line too…or not? If so, why? If not…why not?

A now-viral photo showing a long line of Connecticut residents waiting to register their guns and ammo is circulating across the Internet — and it’s sending chills down the backs of some gun owners.
Connecticut gun owners are rushing to register certain firearms and ammunition that will be considered illegal contraband in the new year.
Under a wide-ranging gun control law passed after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, they have until Tuesday to submit the paperwork with the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
“Holy crap. Looks like Weimar Germany,” Twitter user @votermom said of the photo.
“Another disgusting picture from Connecticut . . .men waiting in line to register guns with the government,” user @chipwoods commented.
“First, they came for the guns,” @PaulRReyes added.
“Life is too short to live in a state that does this to its residents,” Twitter user @lancemfisher declared.
And there are plenty more comments where that came from.
State police say they’ve had people lining up early in the morning to turn in applications to keep high-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds and guns considered assault weapons under the new law.
While the Connecticut Citizens Defense League believes the law is unconstitutional, it has been reminding gun owners of the deadline to make sure they don’t become felons on Jan. 1.
That waiting line is nothing. The line to get into the local gun shows here is several times as long. No registration here.
Once got pulled over in a huge phony speed trap. Opey told me to go to the front of the line and he’d be up to ticket me. One problem, he didn’t say how far in the front. Fuck ’em!

i am going to try and be more optimistic (new years):
I read that 25k “assault weapons” and 17k high capacity magazines were registered. I find that comical because I am not sure of much but I am all but 100% sure that that is not all of the “evil black rifles” in that state and there is no f’n way that there are/were only 17k high cap mags. If there actually were 25k rifles then i could conservatively guess that there is a an absolute min of 3 mags per rifle. 17k might be less than 10% of what is in existence there.
the people who get caught and made an example of have my sympathies but they have my upmost respect for ignoring evil laws like this. a better solution is hightail it out of that state and others like it.

Interestingly, I am involved with my own ‘should I comply’ conundrum.
About 2-3 weeks ago I received a notice to reply to a summons for jury duty (for the end of January). I ignored the request.
In today’s mail — honestly — is a second notice. A most threatening letter. Either I return the Notice or I get a $500 fine … and possibly jail. I just love the land of the free.
I don’t give a flying fuck about the State and their laws and their threats and their bullshit administrative laws. I just want to be left the fuck alone.
I can’t afford the $500. So, I will almost certainly respond. Doesn’t that just suck ass??!!
There’s a place on the form where I can give reasons why I can’t attend jury duty. I think I’m gonna have some fun filling that out. Ya’ll got any suggestions?

DO NOT ignore a jury summons. They’ll throw your Austrian ass in jail post haste. Have Ms. Freud write you a doctors note (saying your chronically sick) to be excused. If that fails, show up wearing a Nazi uniform. I’ve known doctors that didn’t agree with having to serve jury duty that spent 2 weeks in the slammer and thousands in legal fees.
Stuck , you should get AWD to write you a medical excuse of why you can’t attend….I dunno, but I’m sure you’ve got some affliction that precludes you from attendance …be creative.

Stuck, go to the orientation. They’ll validate your parking and pay you a few bucks…that is unless they are just putting you in the standby pool. When you are in the courtroom, being interviewed by the opposing attorneys, pray that it’s a drug case. Odds are it may be. If it is, calmly tell the judge that you are opposed to victimless crime laws and that if placed on the jury, you will exercise your right of nullification and vote “not guilty” regardless of the facts. The judge will thank you for your honesty and release you.
Been there, done that.
Not too long from now you are going to see the same people standing in the same line—- with their guns— to turn them in or face jail time. They will have the guns in one hand and their recent registration papers in the other hand. They will mumble and cuss and wonder how it all happened but in the end they will comply because sheep always get sheared.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Releases Own Line Of Guns

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut/AP) — “Duck Dynasty” is getting into the gun business.
The Robertson family-owned Duck Commander has teamed up with firearms manufacturer Mossberg to release their own line of guns.
Mossberg is releasing 12 types of Duck Commander guns, including 9 shotguns, 2 semiautomatic weapons and a pistol.
Mossberg spokeswoman Linda Powell told CNN that they have begun shipping the guns to distributors.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. And they’ve been endowed by their Creator of certain unalienable rights. Those are rights that no government can take from you: to live, be free and pursue happiness,” Phil Robertson, patriarch of the family, said in one of the commercials. “You know what makes me happy ladies and gentlemen? To blow a mallard drake’s head smooth off.”
The release of the new gun line comes during the controversy surrounding Phil Robertson over his comments about homosexuality in a recent GQ interview.
“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” Robertson told GQ. “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
“Duck Dynasty” stars Phil, Willie, Si and Jase Robertson starred in commercials released last month by Mossberg.

Because I’ve seen this coming for years, so have been extra diligent in my selective purchasing, I have no rifles that, as of today, would be considered “assault” rifles.

The only political rights we have left are voting, the right to arms and jury duty.

Ditching jury duty, and then bitching about the outcomes of trials, is… not good.
I would go.
I always show up for jury duty. It is a wonderful opportunity to let the everyone there know that I find anything presented to me by the authorities to be without merit. Also, as other have said, I believe that actions carried out between consenting adults to be outside of the pervue of the law.
Non: They gave several reasons for getting the MRAP.
1. It was free.
2. It would be scrapped or sold to a foreign Country if they didn’t take it (like euthanizing a dog I suppose).
3. Some guy was holed up with a gun 20, yes TWENTY years ago, and it took longer than the doughnut eaters thought it should to get him out of his own house.
4. They should not lose ANY battle.

Stuck – Serving on a jury is your opportunity to see that justice is done in the court system. Use your Constitutional right of “nullification” if you believe that the law(s) under which the defendant is charged is unconstitutional. FOR AMERICA TO SUCCEED, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY MUST BE DESTROYED
Since the inception of the Tea Party movement in 2009, we have seen the enemy. And the enemy is the current version of the Republican Party and its putrid leadership. Sure, the Democrat Party is openly socialist and hostile to every traditional American value but the Republican Party is no longer the Party of Reagan. It has become the Party of Tip O’Neill. And, as such, the GOP espouses an ever-increasing federal government, business-stifling regulations, increased debt and spending, and total appeasement to the Democrat Party.
There is one thing the current Republican leadership is known for. Losing. Oh, and capitulation. Since taking control of the House in 2010 with massive help from the Tea Party, has anyone heard the Republicans talk of eliminating anything in Washington? The federal government continues to increase in size, scope, control and cost and the Republicans, each of whom will call themselves fiscally conservative, can’t come up with one little program to cut? Oh, that’s right. Paul Ryan sided with communist Patty Murray of Washington to cut benefits to veterans.
The Republicans would have us believe they are interested in cutting spending and reigning in the federal beast. But that’s only at election time. Once safely ensconced back in their Washington ruling class seats, there is virtually little difference between Republicans and their “good friends on the other side of the aisle.” One wonders if there really should be an aisle anymore.
A country with a $17 trillion and growing national debt requires massive change to survive. A country that borrows/prints $3 billion each day to operate illustrates fiscal lunacy. Republicans have been there every cent of the way, many years in total control. The Republicans, under the direction of John “Boo Hoo” Boehner and Mitch “Turtle Head” McConnell have walked hand in hand with the Democrats in passing continuing resolution after continuing resolution to keep the government operating. Did Republicans hold Harry Reid’s little corrupt feet to the fire in requiring an annual budget, as is the law? Did Republicans object when Obama selectively enforcing laws he liked while openly ignoring others and breaking his oath of office? Even today, Obama decides to manipulate the requirements of ObamaCare while circumventing the Constitutional limits of presidential power while we hear crickets from the GOP. Have Republicans put any of the Obama administration in jail or even caused them to be fired after committing perjury in front of a Congressional hearing or being hands-on involved in the numerous Obama scandals? Weakness, corruption and capitulation have become the hallmark of the Republican Party.
Who does the Republican establishment view as it’s biggest threat? The socialist Democrats hell-bent on destroying America? A foreign power? No, the Republican establishment views the Tea Party as their enemy number one. It should. The Tea Party movement is the traditional, conservative wing of what’s left of the Republican Party. Which is why the movement is despised by the Repub elites. The only group that hates the Tea Party movement worse than the mainstream propaganda media or the Democrats is the wussypants Republican Party. The GOP establishment doesn’t want change in Washington. It wants the status quo. With them in power, of course.
AWD knew the Tea Party had a tough row to hoe when the Repubs elected liberal John Boehner as Speaker in 2010. After taking the gavel from Nancy Pelosi, little has changed. And that is exactly what the Repubs want. Recently, Mitch McConnell spoke to a group of defense contractor executives and implored them to contribute heavily to the RNC because Tea Party candidates might not spend/waste as much money on military programs if elected! I crap you negative. While Tea Partiers completely support the military, isn’t there anything other than benefits to veterans that can be cut? You better believe there is. But veterans are not the concern of lifelong politicians! Their buddies in defense contracting and corporations are.
Crony capitalism is one of the biggest problems with America today. Big business has its hands in the pockets of taxpayers with the help of the professional politicians they own and control.
Speaking of crony capitalism, roly poly Karl Rove has founded American Crossroads to support loser RINOs hell-bent on the further destruction of America. The American Chamber of Commerce and other large corporate entities are pumping millions of dollars to combat fiscally conservative Tea Party candidates throughout the country. Because America doesn’t really need fiscal responsibility! We need more debt and spending!
What Rove and his wussypants ilk have never understood is their moderate brand of politics brings only one result…losering (the act of losing over a long period of time)! The shameful line is long with moderate, big-government RINOs who have lost to Democrats they should have destroyed in elections. And, while in office, RINOs have done nothing to slow down the debt and spending machine in DC. Most have become what they once swore they would defeat!
All this proves that Rove and his Republican establishment ilk are not interested in doing what’s in the best interest for America. They are interested in power and money. And that’s it! Sustaining the status quo means business as usual for them and millions in their evil pockets.
America will not change for the better while the current Republican leadership is in power. America needs drastic change. Tea Partiers are not interested in deficit spending reduction. We are totally focused on deficit spending elimination! We believe the government shouldn’t spend one more cent than it receives in revenue, which is ample. For that is how Americans must live our lives. We can’t print money like the government. We must learn to do without and that is something the federal government hasn’t done for decades!
After losing the 2012 election huge, what is the most pressing issue for the Republican establishment? Passing some form of amnesty that will give voting rights to millions of illegal aliens who will immediately vote for every Democrat on the ballot. Forever! But again, these are the geniuses that allow liberal propagandists like Candy Crowley and Wolf Blitzer to moderate presidential debates. The Republican elite is a special kind of stupid.
The RNC wussyboys will push Democrats Chris Christie or Jeb Bush as their presidential nominee in 2016. And, as with John McCain and Mitt Romney, millions of fiscally conservatives will sit at home on election day. AWD has sworn before almighty Ronald Reagan that I will never again hold my nose and vote for the latest RINO cannon fodder for the Dims. I’ve heard countless other conservatives say the exact thing. I would say word to the wise but there is nothing resembling wisdom that comes out of the Republican Party.
If you ever again vote for any of the Republican elite you are just as implicit in the destruction of America as the corruptocrats you support! The only way America can survive and turn this sinking ship around is the total destruction of the GOP elite leadership. Who else can we conservatives depend on except ourselves? Certainly not the GOP.
OBAMACARE: Doctor’s Office Spends 2 Hours On Hold With Insurer For Surgery Authorization, Before Giving Up…

Paperwork problems almost delayed suburban Chicago resident Sheri Zajcew’s scheduled surgery Thursday, but Dr. John Venetos decided to operate without a routine go-ahead from the insurance company. That was after Venetos’ office manager spent two hours on hold with the insurer Thursday, trying to get an answer about whether the patient needed prior authorization for the surgery. The office manager finally gave up.
“I’m not a happy camper,” said Nate Zajcew, the patient’s husband. The couple signed up for a Blue Cross Blue Shield bronze plan through the federal HealthCare.gov site on Dec. 16. “I understand it’s just a matter of paperwork and yesterday was a holiday. I can be an SOB, too, at times, but since they’re going on with the procedure, it’s OK.”
Venetos, a Chicago digestive system specialist, described “tremendous uncertainty and anxiety” among patients calling his office recently. Some thought they’d signed up for coverage but hadn’t received insurance cards yet. Others had insurance policies that were canceled and weren’t sure if their coverage had been reinstated after Gov. Pat Quinn decided to allow one-year extensions of canceled plans.
Venetos said he has decided to take a risk and provide care for these patients, at least until there’s less confusion about coverage.
“We feel it’s the right thing to do,” Venetos said. “We may end up stuck holding the bag and not getting paid on these claims.”

Repubs should have started impeachment proceedings against Obama. He’s committed no less than 12 different impeachable offenses. And instead of going after him, the cave to him.
More than 60% of the population think we need a third party. Congress’ approval rating is at 6%, worse than King James that we revolted against to start the USA. There WILL be another revolution, or civil war. The government is out of control and has to go. Once the economy collapses, things will pick up rather quickly.
I want everyone to look at that line for a moment. The power is there, there are hundreds of people. If they were to go to the town hall, armed with the very weapons they are registering, not to start a fight but to stand their ground, what choice would the government have? Do you really think they would risk a gun battle with such a heavily armed group? Can you imagine the national outrage if the were fired upon simply for standing up for their rights?

I would not comply. I don’t like to comply. I hate compliance just on the grounds of it being compliance. All authority is evil other than a parent over the child and then only for a limited time. Compliance is the submission to evil. Besides if you comply it almost always involves paperwork and a fee. Who the hell wants to fill out paperwork and pay a fee?
I’ve spent my life not complying. There have been consequences, mostly minor but some very serious. But over all the rewards of not complying and not playing by the rules have been worth it.
Here’s what we need to do. Forget complying with anything. Forget voting. Forget Politicians. First we must kill the Bankers. There is really no need to do much else. With the Bankers out of the way, and after the monstrously mega shake up that would result things will eventually fall into place. We can do all kinds of things and propose many great ideas but until the Bankers have been dispatched nothing else matters.
Or we can (as both you and I probably will) just wait and let the near future starving masses and the FSA lynch mobs do the dirty work as they go after anyone who appears to be the least bit 1%ish. This should eliminate most of the bankers, politicians and most everyone with the trappings of wealth or authority no matter how grand or petty. But the FSA considers anyone who has more than they do as a 1%er who owe them so most the urban- sub-urban middle class is going to get whacked hard too. Then the masses will go zombie and eat themselves and,,,,,,,,,,,,,, they’re gone.
All the horrors of Doom are coming no matter what. We are Doomed really bad. Doom might not have been but now is locked in as our destiny.
