The US(S)A is becoming more and more a fascist/socialist totalitarian police state each day. There are many who are more responsible than others. There are also those who proclaim it isn’t their fault because they work hard at their job (check), act kindly to their fellow human (check), provide for their families (check) and pay their taxes (WTF!?!?!?!?!).
Firstly, very few people pay taxes; the vast majority have them taken. And how in god’s name is paying taxes a good thing or part of being a good American?
Read the remainder HERE.
I call utter bullshit on this.
My vice president said:
“We want to take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people,” Biden said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
“It’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”
I wave the flag and proudly pay my taxes, it’s the American way, it’s the only way. We’ve always paid a portion of our wealth in taxes, right?
And don’t look now but the prez is proposing more “change” for personal retirement accounts. Get out while you can!
First we allow them the power to take from the rich, then the rest of us….

Very nice Pictorial Article!
“But in the spirit of the Founding Fathers, I’d argue that thinking it is good for a person to pay taxes (so-called fair share or otherwise) feeds the beast and validates the actions they commit with those funds and in turn does make that person a bad American”
————- from the article
A question: Are you saying ALL taxes are bad?
God help me for saying this …….. but some taxes are necessary, imho. A small example; there’s a rim-bending pothole a couple of blocks from out home. Who fixes it? Who pays for the asphalt, the trucks, and the crew? Or, if my home is on fire and I call 9-1-1, who pays for the fire-truck and the fireman’s salary?
Well this South African guy tried to be a Good Black American … and then a Good German …. some funny stuff here …

Reading in one of my Libertarian books, the fire department was explained thusly.
Stucky lives in a community that decides they want a fire department. You all get together and decide to hire an architect, hire a contractor, decide what the pay will be for a firefighter, decide if they are to receive a pension, decide if they are to receive healthcare and the firefighter will agree to the terms.
All the above costs will come out of your bank account which you will give freely. And in this way Stucky and all the residents of the community are far more involved with what happens to your dollars.
I know today this would never work, but I’m pretty confidant most things we pay for, mail, roads, etc can be done much more efficiently and for less money than what the government provides.
harry , just call the IRS and tell them you are not going to pay taxes anymore. They will say fine, now we are going to take everything you own and then put you in jail for 20 years.THIS IS WHY I PAY TAXES.
stuck,
it took a whle to find all those pics (and why i kept them off teh TBP post), but i could have continued adding to that list of evil things taxes are used to fund or contribute to.
are all taxes bad? if your definition of taxes matches mine i.e. fees extracted via coercion; then yes they are bad in my opinion. i subscribe to the no aggression principle so the only moral use of violence is in self defense. if violence or the threat of violence is used to coerce people to pay for something they may or may not want then it is not free association and is on some level a coded form slavery pretending to be a civil society. taxes violate this criteria
if there were no publicly funded police force (praise jeebus) there would be private companies offering security. those who want the service would pay and receive services. if the services are good then everyone is happy but if the service sucked people wouldn’t renew contracts adn the company would lose money and theoretically go out of business. plus there would be multiple competing companies offering the services to keep them honest. I do recognize the likelihood of collusion and the possibility of monopolies still existing but how is that different than what we have today. but these monopolies and collusions more often come from govt interference or favoritism. in my eyes the worst case scenario in that situation is likely equal to the best case scenario in the current situation. same theory applies to fire fighters, don’t pay then your house might burn down all tehy way to the foundation.
personally i am not in favor of public roads, i would prefer roads to privately operated (even though me and almost everyone would despise stopping to pay tolls). people/companies could buy land, build/pave roads and charge what they want for passage. competing roads would also exist to give options.
i wouldn’t want to constantly pay tolls but i also despise the current system that taxes cars, adds gas guzzler taxes, registration fees etc while also allowing for the existence of property taxes that force people to never actually “own” their home and then there is eminent domain; all come from the current layout that still includes toll roads. soon we will be taxed per mile on top of allthe others and the only way to do this is to force cars to be outfitted with an all encompassing EZ pass like tracking system.
i know it is idealistic, i am talking about the morality of people telling others what services they have to buy and not how pragmatic its likelihood of happening is or isn’t in the real world.
the larken rose video on the upper right of my site is a good one to watch.
bb,
the point i am making is not about whether a person should go up agaiinst the IRS or not, it is about the morality taxes themselves.
i constantly remind people of the immorality of taxes and that I don’t “pay” them, they are taken from me under duress. I do not want to be thrown in jail, have my property taken (what remains of what they let me keep) or have the life of my family endangered. But they are taken not becuase they are are good, moral or necessary for a free civil society but i and many other comply because an power hungry greedy evil ruthless organization will steal all that remains, imprison me or even kill me and my family if i resist. nothing more than a hostage.
eventually people wont’ have as much to lose and then the powerbrokers will be in trouble.
I know harry , just trying to make fun of a bad situation.I hate paying taxes but if I don’t they will take everything I own.The IRS made that very clear to me a few years ago when I got behind on paying my taxes. They took my bank accounts and said they would take my house. They made my life a living hell until I got all the taxes paid. They have the POWER TO DESTROY and they will use it.
“Stucky lives in a community that decides they want a fire department. You all get together and decide to hire an architect, hire a contractor, decide what the pay will be for a firefighter, decide if they are to receive a pension, decide if they are to receive healthcare and the firefighter will agree to the terms.”

Yes, that would work in my community. It’s mostly all middle and upper-middle class. We gots the money. But, there are thousands of communities across America not so fortunate.
” … those who want the service would pay and receive services.” ———- harry p.
So what if 51% of my community decides they don’t want a fire department? My house burns to the ground? No, thanks.
So, we would need all these focus groups, or whatever, to decide on firemen, police, road repair, sewer service, education, and on and on? I just don’t see who that would work.
That’s just on the local level. What about on the National level? Certainly we need SOME type of military defense …. not the trillions they waste on bullshit Pax Americana as today …. but something.
Just to be clear …. I FUCKING HATE TAXES …. the whole thing as setup today is a goddamn scam. But, I also realize it can never be reduced to $0.
A while back I read that the Somalian government has no ability to collect taxes. That place is a shithole for lots of reasons. And the inability of the government to raise funds is a guarantee it will remain a shithole.
Maybe the solution is to remove the forced tax collection from business and place the responsibility back onto the taxpayer.
So I pay my employees 100% of their wage and they have to write a check to the government every week. I bet in a couple of weeks or so people would question a bit more about what their money is being spent on.
Dimocrats are all about raising your taxes and giving your money to the worthless free shit army also known as the Democratic base.
I laugh when I hear people complain about their taxes and complain the government is spending too much. That train left the station.
Taxes are there to subjugate. Tax and spend liberals became borrow and spend fascists.
The global ponzi scheme doesn’t extend to us mere mortals, that’s why we’re taxed.
I spent my childhood years (1971 to say, 1984) in a small community in rural southern Delaware. A community so small, to this day, it doesn’t have a zip code. They have to go to the next small town over and get their mail.
The center of this small community was the local Fire Dept. All volunteer. It was started in the 60’s by my grandparents and a small group of community leaders. To raise money, they have fried chicken dinners once a month during the summer. It’s been years and years since I’ve been, but the last one I remember had a line out the door and a waiting list for well over an hour.
To my knowledge, they do not receive any taxpayer monies.

stuck,
i am not talking about people voting whether or not to require taxes to fund a fire dept in their locality. you are absolutely right, it wouldn’t work outside of a community larger than 100 total people, fuck that bullshit. 100% private, like private security, pay for your house to be protected or don’t and risk it burning to the ground. Our whoel current paradigm revolves around risk aversion and how to force other people to pay for it. it is all nothing but a grift.
there was a story a few years ago about a house being on fire and the resident hadn’t paid the fees for his local fire dept so they didn’t put it out and let the house burn. some found that horrible but i am the type of person that says that is how it has to be otherwise the service is there, there is not profit motive, govt takes over and everything goes to shit, i.e. obongocare.
originally fire depts were not publically funded, they were owned adn run by property insurance companies to try and lessen the likelihood that the property they insured would suffer total losses. when tehy refused to put out fires in building that were uninsured an outcry caused the creation of much of hte publically funded one. wow, so irresponsible people demanding shit for free and tehn everyone paying for it forever, sounds kinda familar doesn’t it.
are you arguing that somalia wouldn’t be as much of a shithole if their govt were more proficient at taking more of the people’s money? really?
the people who have income that could be taxed run teh govt or are connected enough so that they woudlnt’ have to pay. the remaining could be taxed at 100% and get nothing becaues they 100% of 0 is stil 0.
taxes empower and feed government (both through revenue and psychological programming). the motherfuckers need to be put on a starvation diet til they look like this.
nonanonymous,
i am not talking about them spending too much, i am saying it is immoral for them to forcibly take them away from you.
yes it is a ponzi scheme and it is more about power than revenue.
“are you arguing that somalia wouldn’t be as much of a shithole if their govt were more proficient at taking more of the people’s money? really?” ———— harry p
Ha! Perhaps I should have tried a different country. Somalia, like most countries in the Dark Continent, will always be a shit-hole.
Nevertheless, I’m thinking along these lines. Suppose a big part of Somalia’s problem is no infrastructure … such as a viable Power Grid … that is absolutely necessary to build an economy. For various reasons — both valid and invalid — no person or community is able to undertake the project. IF only the government can accomplish the task, I believe they should do so. Yes, that means taxation. The alternative … no taxes and no power grid is a worse outcome.
Don’t misunderstand me. I am mostly in agreement with your points.
Two things I still would like to know;
—–1) What about things that are clearly National in scope … such as Defense?
—–2) Are you advocating for $0 “forced” taxes …. that all taxes should be voluntary?
I think that every single tax and spending law should be automatically reviewed and voted on every 20 years or allowed to expire if that review and vote does not take place. Ya think our owners wouyld ever allow that?

stucky,
busy weekendand other than reading that admin told google to go fuck themselves i haven’t been on tbp much and this was my first chance to reply.
power grids and power generation in the us didn’t arise from govt, they came from people like westinghouse, edison and tesla. govt just claimed a monopoly after the fact for the good for the good of the average person but in reality it is just so they can fleece everyone. innovation comes from people with ideas of what to create. govt only create slaves and despair. govt creates “services” just like they create jobs.
1-in times of national defense people will band together to defend their homes. what was the last war (or military conflict) that was truly in defense. None of the current wars of choice, WW2 surely wasn’t, we should have stayed out of europe and the attack by japan was becuase the us shut down energy supplies and they were left with no choice. civil war, aka war of northern aggression. vietnam? What war/conflict since the american revolution has been a truly defensive war? my guess is none. when peoples’ homes, neighborhoods and families are in danger they will band together and fight. the taxes collected for “national defense” is only for offense, nation building and adding to the power of our owners via our blood, taxes and labor. the next truly defensive was in the us will likely be the citizens vs the govt and those trying to free themselves from the chains of govt ownership will be fighting against “Defense” forces that were funded via their taxes. Not only are we enslaved but we have to pay rent to be enslaved all the while being brainwashed into thinking it is for our own good and “necessary” for a civilzed society.
2- forced taxes aka money taken from someone via coercion is theft. yes, I am 100% anti-theft.
in reality the best govt is probably a representative republic tempered with constant assasination (makes me think of the sword of damocles).

Expecting a small govt to remain small is like expecting a tape worm to consume only what it needs to remain the same size and not continue to grow but that will never fucking happen, govt is the monopolized power of people over geopgraphical area, its halls will always return to being dominated by cocksucking sociopaths. we don’t need them, they need us to live off of.
