President Barack Obama, his wife and the first daughters may have to cut their latest vacation short because of Russia’s meddling in Ukraine.
The Obama family’s current plan for the weekend is to escape the cold, snowy doldrums of Washington, D.C. for some rest and relaxation in sunny Key Largo, Fla., reports the Daily Mail.
However, despite Obama’s earnest invocations of international law, pro-Russian forces and the Russian government are making swift military and political moves in Ukraine’s Crimea region. Consequently, the Key Largo holiday could be in peril.
“It is possible the president may return to the White House on Friday as events unfold in Ukraine,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on Thursday, according to the Mail.
The excuse for this urgently needed break from the hurly-burly of the White House is that both Obamas are scheduled to speak about the value of education at Coral Reef High School in Miami.
So, why not spend the rest of the weekend basking on the sandy beaches and two golf courses of the Ocean Reef Club—a private, five-star paradise on 2,500 lush, tropical acres?
Unless pesky world events get in the way, the Key Largo romp will be Obama’s third taxpayer-funded getaway this year.
Just last month, Obama flew to Southern California over Presidents Day weekend to meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan and play some golf on the posh Sunnylands estate. The trip also included a round of golf on a private, 19-hole course owned by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, one of his billionaire supporters.

Obama misspelled “respect” while lauding the “Queen of Soul” before a White House concert featuring several musical legends.
“When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her,” Obama said, before the audience in the East Room erupted into laughter. He then continued, “”She had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African-Americans, and women, and then everyone who felt marginalized because of what they looked like or who they loved. They wanted some respect. Later, when somebody asked her why it had such an impact, she said, ‘I guess everybody just wants a little respect.’ Today, they still do.”

So Variety reports that “Twelve Years a Slave”—that unwatched movie that everyone knows was just awesome in its accurate portrayal of Poor Wittle Bwack People struggling to survive under the boot of Evil White racist creepy-ass crackas, and thusly deserving of its Best Picture Oscar—is so perfectly faithful to the historical facts that it will now be taught in schools. Presumably as part of Common Core.
(You might think that with kids inundated with confusing bullcrap like “number bonds” and sh*t, they wouldn’t have time to focus on pathetic anti-white propaganda. But you’d be wrong.)
Given that our children spend so much time learning about the Constitution, the founding fathers, the proper role of government, and basic civics, it’s understandable that we take some time away from these useless areas of study and devote it to that wholly underserved subject matter of slavery in America. I mean, up ’til now, most people weren’t even aware slavery ever existed in the United States! For shame!
So here’s a brief overview of what “Twelve Years a Slave” will teach our children:
Slavery only existed in the United States of America. Ever. (People say the Jews were slaves under the Egyptians, but the Egyptians are Muslims and the Bible’s fiction, so therefore that’s false.)
The White Man invented Slavery. That was his only invention. Everything else was invented by The Black Man.
The White Man was the only race on earth to have ever taken Slaves. Without the evil White Man, Slavery never would have existed!
Every single Black Man Slave was tortured mercilessly by his evil White Man masters. The White Man is inherently evil and racist so there were never any cases where the Black Man was actually treated with care and compassion and appreciated his situation. Never.
Every single White Person has owned a Black Man as a Slave at some point in time. If not, then their parents definitely did so they’re still guilty.
Every single Black Person was a Slave at some time in the past. If not, then their parents definitely were, so they’re still entitled to reparations and to beating the crap out of old and unarmed White People.
Heroic Black People like Harriet Tubman and Martin Luther King Jr. ended Slavery. (With the help of some Good Whites from Yankeeland.)
The country has not changed a bit since the Civil War. Attitudes about race are as bad as they’ve ever been!
