It was so fitting that Obama sauntered into the Rose Garden on April Fools day to proclaim the wonderful success of Obamacare. We are the fools for allowing this fool and his fellow fools in Congress to further bankrupt our country with this disastrous government run clusterf*ck. He is a dangerous empty suit. The only thing that mattered to him and his sociopathic control freaks in the last two months was hitting an enrollment number that he could tout as success. Making sure there are enough doctors in the plan or ensuring excellent healthcare services once you get sick is not part of their agenda. And they certainly don’t worry about the 7.1 million people paying their premiums. That’s the insurance companies’ problem.
There is so much propaganda, spin, disinformation and outright lies circulating in the captured mainstream media that the dumbed down, distracted, disinterested American populace believe the sound bites from Obama and the talking heads on MSNBC and the rest of the Obama loving media. Isn’t it funny how early in the disastrous roll-out of this joke Sebelius and her band of HHS drones didn’t know how many people had enrolled for weeks after the end of a month, but yesterday Obama knew that exactly 7.1 million people had enrolled within hours of the final deadline?
You may have noticed the non-stop 30 second ads trying to convince iGadget addicted morons to sign up for Obamacare over the last three months, building to a crescendo in the last few weeks. Obama was desperate to get young people and his black constituency to sign up. Most of the commercials were black NBA superstars yapping about the wonders of Obamacare. These were surely targeted to white middle class people. Right? Guess how much the average 30 second commercial costs. How about $123,000. The government has admitted their advertising budget for the last three months was $52 million. My guess is they went over budget and probably spent $75 million of your tax dollars to convince millions to join a government program that will cost you trillions more of your tax dollars. The original July 2013 estimate from the government for the total advertising of this mess was $700 million. I’ll take the over in the final number. This is after spending $600 million on the wonderful glitch free website.
Let’s assess the tremendous success the Savior was blustering about yesterday. He sold the plan to the American public back in 2009 with a number of promises.
It won’t add one dime to the deficit
Our teleprompter reader in chief told the American people his plan would not add one dime to the deficit. After it passed he told Congress it would cost $900 billion over ten years. Then the CBO actually ran the numbers and it jumped to $1.4 trillion. What’s a $500 billion error among friends? That almost perfect accuracy for the Federal government. Of course the Democratic politicians that passed this wonderful bill delayed all the bad stuff until 2014 and after, while front loading all the good stuff.
They delayed the major spending provisions in order to show only six years of spending under the plan in the original 10-year budget window (from FY2010-19) used by CBO at the time the law was enacted. Therefore, the original estimate concealed the fact that most of the law’s spending only doesn’t even begin until four years into the 10-year window. A Senate Budget Committee analysis (based on CBO estimates and growth rates) finds that that total spending under the law will amount to at least $2.6 trillion over a true 10-year period (from FY2014–23). That’s a lot of dimes added to the deficit. Does $2.6 trillion sound like budget neutral to you? Of course we’re doing it for the children.
It will cover the 46 million uninsured Americans
The Census Bureau number of 46 million includes 10 million illegal immigrants. I know Obama wants to cover them on our dime, but even he will have trouble with that one. A report from the Kaiser Foundation put the number of true uninsured at 28.6 million. The CBO numbers and the Obama administration storyline were built on the assumption that everyone signing up for Obamacare was previously uninsured. Studies by the McKinsey Group and Rand Corporation have concluded that only 30% of all enrollees into Obamacare were previously uninsured.
The vast majority are previously insured people, many of whom are getting a better deal on the exchanges because they either qualify for subsidies, or because they’re older individuals who benefit from the law’s massive rate increases for the young. I know Obama loving liberals don’t like math and wish that Common Core feel good math could be applied to the Obamacare clusterf*ck, but here are the facts:
- Supposedly 7.1 million people have signed up for Obamacare.
- Approximately 30% of these people were previously uninsured – totaling 2.1 million people. That is only 7.3% of the uninsured people in the country. What about the 26.5 million people still uninsured? Obama spent all this money on advertising and only convinced 7.3% of the uninsured to sign up????
- The Obama administration seems to be uninterested in whether the people who have signed up for Obamacare have actually paid their premium. The McKinsey survey found that the proportion of those who had formally enrolled in coverage, by paying their first month’s premium, was considerably lower among the previously uninsured, relative to the previously insured. 86% of those who were previously insured who had “selected a marketplace plan” on the exchanges had paid, whereas only 53% of the previously uninsured had.
- If you run the numbers, 5 million times 86% equals 4.3 million who have paid their premiums. Of the previously uninsured 2.1 million times 53% equals 1.1 million who have paid their premiums. Therefore, the true number of paying Obamacare enrollees is 5.4 million.
The skewed demographics implications will get worse over time, as the cost of plans continues to go up. In the McKinsey survey, of those who had decided not to sign up for Obamacare, the most common reason was the “affordability” of the offered plans. Indications from insurers like Aetna and WellPoint is that the premiums on the exchange will go up substantially next year. The demographic assumptions for the Obamacare enrollees are disastrous for the American taxpayer. It is skewed toward old sickly people, with very few young healthy people. The risk pool is how premiums are determined.
The LA Times painted the ominous picture for what will happen next year:
Long-term stability could be undermined if newly insured people do not pay their bills or if they drop coverage in coming months because they are unhappy about the high deductibles or narrow doctor and hospital networks some plans offer. Some people have had to pay higher premiums to replace old plans that did not comply with the law’s consumer standards.More ominously, some insurance industry officials are warning they may raise rates substantially next year. Major rate hikes could push out healthy consumers, undermining the law’s marketplaces and recharging political opposition.
Foolish conclusions
- Obama and his Democratic minions (law passed without one Republican vote) have adjusted, delayed, and not enforced all the really bad stuff in this law until after the 2014 mid-term elections, with some really bad stuff delayed until after Hillary assumes power in 2016.
- As usual the CBO estimate of $2.6 trillion will be off by 100% as the true cost will soar past $5 trillion. It will be the gift that keeps on giving, like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.
- The risk pool will be so skewed towards older sicker Americans that premiums will skyrocket by 20% per year over the next few years, making many of the enrollees drop it altogether.
- The millions who end up not paying their premiums to the insurance companies will be subsidized by the paying customers of the insurance companies because we are rich and need to help the poor. Obama will punish insurance companies that tell the truth about non-payment by the dregs.
- The government has taken control of our healthcare system under the auspices of covering the millions of uninsured. The fact that 93% of the uninsured remain uninsured after the rollout reveals that this has been nothing but a socialistic power grab by Obama and the people who want to control every aspect of our lives.
- The promised $2,500 annual savings in premiums for the average family seems unlikely to materialize as premiums for the average family have risen by 30% to 50% since 2009.
- The if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor promise seems to be ringing hollow as millions have been forced out of their existing plans and now have much less choice of plan and doctor options.
- The millions of math challenged drones who believed Obama and have focused solely on the monthly premiums evidently don’t understand that deductibles on the lowest level plan average $5,000 and go as high as $12,000 drive the true cost much higher. I hope they don’t get sick or injured.
I hope you enjoyed being Obama’s fool on April 1. They say a fool is born every minute. Obama and his minions are counting on it.
“Sebelius and her band of HHS drones didn’t know how many people had enrolled for weeks after the end of a month, but yesterday Obama knew that exactly 7.1 million people had enrolled within hours of the final deadline?”
Great point, also missing from the rose garden yesterday was sebelius. Wonder why?
You know, crowing about forcing 7.1 million people to sign up for a mandate is nothing to crow about. You want to impress the people? Make this voluntary, make something so good people want it.
But they have the fucking balls to gloat because if you don’t sign up the government will fine you?
And people still cheer? WTF?

From serious post to tits and nipples in 5 comments. Nice….
Great analysis Admin, thanks and I appreciate it. Saved me having to try and sift through the lies and bullshit for the truth. You forgot to mention Obama gave away billions to his black community organizer minions to provide Obamacare sign up centers in the ghetto. I’d be surprised if, a year from now, we find out half a million of the people that signed up are dead, in prison, or don’t exist. Obama is a lying sack of monkey shit, and will do anything to appear as a success. We’ll never really know how many people signed up or paid. All the government is capable of doing is lying.
Obamacare is simply another entitlement program. He’s getting 16 million more people on free health insurance (Medicaid). Many states rejected the Medicaid expansion because it would bankrupt the states, because states have to pay a share of Medicaid costs. Obama said the Feds would help cover these costs, but states with common sense rejected it, and thus saved themselves from bankruptcy. In the states that expanded Medicaid, the costs of millions more free shit recipients will bankrupt them, or they’ll do what they do now—they simply won’t pay their bills.
Obamacare is also an entitlement program for health insurance companies. They are the ones that are going to make a windfall of cash by forcing people into policies they don’t want and can’t afford. Employer based healthcare will become a thing of the past, as rates double and triple, the plans will simply be dropped at work. Good luck getting insurance then. In a few years the number of uninsured will soar, as the number getting free healthcare will soar. And millions of people dropped their health insurance they were having to pay for, and are now on Medicaid, which they don’t have to pay for. Millions more FSA members. A socialist’s dream come true.
When people finally figure out how much Obamacare is costing them, and they can’t afford health insurance themselves because they’re stupid enough to work for a living, they’re going to be angry, very angry. People have no idea what’s coming. The health insurance rates now are “bait and switch” rates that will go up exponentially in the coming years. And the deductibles make me laugh. Who is going to be able to come up with $5000 or $12,000 a year? Nobody. It’s a catastrophic disaster put forward by our sociopathic president and his FSA liberal progressive socialist minions.
They had six months to sign up and these dregs decide on the last day to stand in huge lines to get their “free” healthcare. We are doomed.
AARP made $2.8 Billion by supporting Obamascare:

If you are a senior, boycott AARP and join AMAC instead.
Stuck, I found that one, but didn’t want to endure the wrath of SSS no nipple rule.
They probably got Obamaphones for signing up. Oh wait, I forgot they get those for free anyway. Maybe it was fried chicken and watermelon.
I believe that the official sign-up number was 7,046,xxx. So it actually rounds down to 7.0, not up to 7.1. Not that it’s a real number anyway, but you’d think they would at least make the official number be something higher than 7,050,000. I still contend that Obama couldn’t answer “what’s sixteen times six?” And I wish some reporter would use his/her last question as a White House pool reporter to spring that question on Obama.
The only nit I could picky with Stucky’s Obama photo above is that “both” should be an option. Obama is a stupid fuck AND a lying sack of shit. It’s like how he’s an atheist and a Muslim. He somehow pulls off both.
Every person that signed up for Obamacare and got Medicaid in the socialist state of Illinois was also issued a SNAP card/food stamps whether they wanted it or not. I know people that used to pay $300 a month for private insurance that got Medicaid for free, thanks to Obamacare. And anyone with a pulse was given Medicaid, so as to get the sign-up numbers. It’s a free shit bonanza!
Sruckey why did you give to options for the picture? Stupid Fuck attributes to much character to Obama. Lying sack of shit is more accurate.
American Medical Association: Obamacare sticks doctors with unpaid bills
The American Medical Association is protesting an Obamacare provision it argues will leave doctors with the bill for up to two months of unpaid care.
The provision requires insurers to allow patients with federally-subsidized health insurance plans a 90-day grace period to pay their premiums before canceling the coverage. Insurers are on the hook for the first 30 days of care, if the customer never pays up, but doctors will be stuck without payment for any services between 30 and 90 days, until the coverage is canceled.
The American Medical Association was a strong supporter of Obamacare.
“If a patient is being treated for a serious illness, that requires ongoing care,” Dr. Ardis Dee Hoven, president of the AMA, said in a press release Wednesday. “The physician is having to assume the financial risk for this. That’s the bottom line.”
The AMA released new resources Wednesday for its member physicians, offering “step-by-step help for minimizing risk,” while admitting that the Obamacare rule “could pose a significant financial risk for medical practices.”
The doctors’ association spent $22 million lobbying for Obamacare to pass in 2010, the most of any health care organization, and has kept up their spending in the years since while the law’s final regulations have been tinkered with.
The rule’s damaging effect on doctors — especially those with private practices — exemplifies the split between the AMA’s lobbying ambitions and the outlook of the average doctors that do the work.
After Obamacare’s passage, just 13 percent of American physicians agreed with the AMA’s support of the law, according to a survey from physician recruitment firm Jackson & Coker. Surveys have repeatedly found that doctors don’t believe the law will let them help patients and make a living.
two
The pseudo-scam “credit counseling services” have been supplanted by by “healthcare assistance services,” trying to scare the unwashed masses into signing up for this train wreck. The same cheesy radio ads and off-the-rack suits are present in each. I went to the local hole-in-the-wall tax place, and as they glided over my relatively easy return, the woman could not wait to get to the sickcare scare screen, where she showed me why I need insurance because I’ll owe $996 dollars next year. She didn’t seem to like the fact that I knew all the obvious flaws in the bill, i.e. the tax is by law always less than the cheapest bronze plan, you can sign up if you need to after you become sick, and the IRS can’t even do much about collecting the penalty so as not to disturb the core constituency of this fiasco. Rats, another chance to pawn
The system may very well collapse due to its ponzi nature, but any problems will be solved by the good-ole-fashioned American bailout. The bill is 1,000 pages of gobblygook written by the insurance companies through their vassal lobbyists. I’m sure there are bailout clauses for the losses in their somewhere. If not it will only take the congress two hours to formulate the TIRP, or Troubled Insurance Company Relief Program. Nothing new under the sun.
Of course all these flaws are only temporary. There is a reason the system is laughable at this point. Their only goal at present was to get the framework in place. The screws will eventually be tightened to the point where no one will be able to buy, sell, work, drive, or rent without being in the system. Even further down the timeline a generation will be born that will know nothing but the system. DNA taken at birth, yearly physicals, forced druggings, etc. There is an old documentary with Waylon Jennings that shows how free range cattle used to be rounded up, and a round up is exactly what this is. We will be pricked, prodded, nudged and coerced over and over until there is 100% compliance with the cradle to grave sickcare system, controlling most aspects of life, a socialist’s dream. As Creep First Class George Bernard Shaw put it way back when “We should all be obliged to appear before a board every five years and justify our existence…on pain of liquidation.”

AWD,
Here in Massachusetts, if you have signed up and your “paperwork” has not been processed you automatically receive “free” MassHealth aka. Medicaid until your situation is resolved. We have hundreds, if not thousands of people who have tried to sign up and pay for health insurance and have been put on MassHealth. In the mean time tens of thousands of additional people being processed have received their handy little MassHealth card. I am sure there will be no fraud involved here. This in a state that already had the lowest percent of uninsured citizens at 3%. The real problem will come when the federal subsidy is reduced to its regular rate and the real costs to the states are assumed. Massachusetts already has the highest healthcare costs in the nation.

Expert Hacks Healthcare.gov in 4 Minutes
by Keith Koffler on April 1, 2014, 11:00 am
In what sense is a broken website “fixed” when it’s completely insecure?
Security consultant David Kennedy, who has testified before Congress about the flaws in Healthcare.gov that have made people’s information unsafe, revealed Monday he was able to gain access to the personal records of 70,000 Obamacare enrollees in four minutes.
“It looks like it’s continuing to get worse,” Kennedy said of the website’s security fiasco.
What’s more, it appears he used methods that are available to anyone:
We didn’t actually hack the website. This is basically from what we could find open on the Internet . . . If hackers actually target their efforts on Healthcare.gov, it’s disastrous what type of information they could actually find on the website.
Kennedy added that the very fact that the website is still so bad it crashed Monday suggests security issues must also be a problem.
Why doesn’t the Fed just print up another trillion, send us all checks? The Fed can create trillions for banks, but not for us?
An alien from another planet would wonder why we kill each other & argue over phantom paper stuff, as if it’s real. The greatest scam ever perpetrated against humans is central banking/fractional reserve banking. It’s basically counterfeiting.
Top Obama Advisor Travels to Hollywood to Encourage “Obamacare” Mentions in Movie Scripts and TV Shows
By Mike Krieger
Just when you thought the Truman Show that is the U.S. these days couldn’t get any more ridiculous, a headline like this comes along to shock you back into dazed incredulity.
Hollywood shenanigans aren’t a focus of this website, but I have covered them previously. The most recent example was almost exactly a year ago with my post: How Hollywood Became “Propagandist in Chief” by John Pilger.
Now from the Weekly Standard:
A top of advisor to President Barack Obama is in Los Angeles to try to get Obamacare written into scripts of TV shows and movies. Valerie Jarrett explained in an appearance on Top That! on PopSugar.com:
“That’s the cool thing,” a host said to the presidential advisor. “You’ve been reaching out to people that are, you know, outside of the norm of what the president might work with. Who else are you working with? Like celebrities, personalities, things like that?”
“You name it,” said Jarrett. “That’s part of why I’m in L.A. I’m meeting with writers of various TV shows and movies to try to get it into the scripts.” When Jarrett says “it into the scripts,” she’s referring to getting references to Obamacare, the president’s signature legislation, into the scripts of TV shows and movies.
This is what America has devolved into.
What’s O’Dumbass gonna say when he finds out 1/3 of the premiums are not paid. He will have no justification for bailing out the insurance companies after claiming success. If he had a brain one he would have held his peace until finding out whose actually paid up. Obama’s a lying piece of shit, and his supporters are fools in the first degree, not one of the cowards will show up and defend his stupid ass.
Here’s some more reality for Obamacare. In the next several years, Obamacare will cost businesses and people that actually work for a living billions. If anyone with healthcare through their job thinks it’s going to last, good luck. No business can afford Obamacare, which is why many have paid off the liberal progressive democrats and were able to “opt out”, just like congress did.
Employers Say Obamacare Will Cost Them $5,000 More Per Employee
Businesses reveal in confidential survey that Obamacare will add up to $200 million in costs
New Obamacare tax will raise premiums for families and hurt small businesses

Obamacare will cost large companies between $4,800 and $5,900 more per employee and add hundreds of millions to their overhead, according to a new survey.
The American Health Policy Institute conducted a confidential survey of 100 large employers—those with 10,000 or more employees—asking what costs they expect to incur from Obamacare over the next decade.
Factoring in the health care law’s added mandates, fees, and regulatory burdens, employers anticipate cost hikes between $163 million and $200 million in 2016, a 4.3 percent increase. By 2023, employers will be paying 8.4 percent more than “what they would otherwise be spending” for their employees’ health care.
In the next 10 years, the total cost of Obamacare to all large American employers is estimated to be from $151 billion to $186 billion, according to the study.
“This study is a c-suite diagnosis of how [the Affordable Care Act] ACA is shaping large employer behavior,” Tevi Troy, president of the American Health Policy Institute, said. “We don’t know yet precisely how employers will react, but the study shows that employers will have to make real changes or incur heavy costs, which means that the ACA will have a significant impact on those in employer-sponsored health care.”
While noting that some will say the results will “lead to more economical use of health care dollars,” the study questions whether the increase in health costs could bring the “end of the employer-sponsored health care system.”
“If the law leads to significant cost increases for [employers], this would affect the behavior of employers, which could in turn affect how—and even whether—they provide health care for their employees,” the study said.
Health care costs have already been increasing for large businesses, which spend $578.6 billion each year to provide health coverage for 170.9 million employees, retirees, and dependents. However, numerous studies suggest that Obamacare is adding to employers’ burdens.
For instance, a report by the Urban Institute found that Obamacare increased large employer health costs by $11.8 billion in 2012, and the Joint Committee on Taxation estimated that the excise tax on high-cost plans would cost $32 billion from 2018 to 2019.
POS Obama lied about Obamacare from the beginning, and continues to lie. The truth is already getting out about the bullshit numbers. Only the imbecile MSM believes Obama’s bullshit. We’ll see how happy people are with Obamacare in the coming elections.

Lawsuit Filed Against Nevada Health Exchange
Benjamin Fearnow April 2, 2014 6:51 AM
Just days after the deadline to enroll for insurance coverage through Nevada Health Link, the first class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of residents who say they signed up and paid their premiums – but were never given coverage.
Just days after the deadline to enroll for insurance coverage through Nevada Health Link, the first class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of residents who say they signed up and paid their premiums – but were never given coverage.
Law firm Callister & Associates filed the lawsuit on behalf of Larry Basich, who signed up for state health insurance and paid premiums as far back as November, but then was not covered following a Jan. 3 triple bypass procedure that saw his $400,000 in medical expenses passed between the wrong insurance companies, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court of Nevada on Tuesday alleges gross negligence and failure to do due diligence against the state of Nevada, the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange (which runs Nevada Health Link), and the company that won the contract to build the exchange, Xerox.
Four companies had responded with proposals to build the state’s Obamacare exchange, and Xerox won in what state officials said was a standard process for the national and state governments in reviewing bids for technology contracts. Xerox won the bid after receiving the highest-score on a state criteria list ranging from financial stability to comparable contract experience.
The Nevada state government has since given the second-place company, Deloitte Consulting, a $1.5 million contract to fix the Nevada Health Link.
Attorney Matthew Callister told the Review-Journal that about 40 people had called saying they had also paid their insurance premiums but have no coverage. As of last week, the Nevada Health Link had a “pends” list totaling more than 10,500 people still without coverage.
Lea Swartley, who also has received no coverage despite paying premiums, is the co-plaintiff in the lawsuit.
“There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Nevadans who have been paying premiums for 2, 3, 4 months, not receiving any coverage whatsoever,” Callister told KTNV-TV. “I talked to a mom an hour ago who has skin cancer and she can’t go in to have her skin cancer treatment because her doctor says, ‘Who is your carrier?’”
Fuck Obama and his lies, and fuck the liberal MSM. The truth will come out….

The novel survey by the American Health Policy Institute asked companies directly what their costs will be, rather than “speculating from the outside.”
“Specifically, the study looked at direct costs to companies from the ACA’s requirements, over and above projected employer health care cost trends without the ACA,” the study said.
Direct costs resulting from the law include the excise tax on “Cadillac” plans; Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute fees; and benefit mandates, such as covering 100 percent of preventative care services.
“In light of the uncertainty related to projected ACA-related savings, this study provides an important look into what America’s employers themselves believe will happen, and presumably, what projections they will use in determining future benefit designs as well as employment strategies,” the study concluded. “The results of this study demonstrate that employers have a significant incentive to make fundamental changes to their health offerings as a result of the ACA.”
“Cost increases in the range of $163 million to $200 million per large employer over the course of a decade will not be overlooked by CEOs, CFOs, or Boards of Directors,” it said. “It is not yet clear what these changes will be. What is clear, however, is that the ACA has already altered the landscape of employer-provided health care, and will do so even more over the next decade.”
I heart SSS’s no nudity rule
How did that putz at the Supreme Court turn it into a tax?
I can’t figure out why this also isn’t called the Justice Roberts tax or the Gingrich/Romney/Heritage Foundation insurance company bailout plan.
Say it again brother…Some of us realized we were being had in 2008. Its was a repeat of Clinton all over again. What about the Republicans behind the scenes who insured he would succeed in his endeavors while telling as big a lies as Obama to the voters about their positions on issues. Are they fools or something worse. I am thinking of the T word. Many of them knew all along his shaky bone fides but he was their Manchurian candidate. Nobody really knows who this puppet really is and where he came from. What’s disturbing is that its taken 1.5 terms of office for people to start waking up to these carpet baggers. Is there still time to tar and feather them or is the damage irreversible now?
No victory lap for the idiot-in-chief:
“White House officials sought valuable primetime air for a rare, impromptu Tuesday night address to tout the accomplishment of signing up more than 7 million people under the Affordable Care Act.
But network officials refused to make the kind of accommodation they did previously for the announcement that Osama Bin Laden had been killed, for instance, and Obama was left instead cutting into the much smaller audiences of Ellen and other daytime shows.”

“Give me your criminally insane , your illiterate , your befuddled masses yearning to get free free healthcare, food and housing.”
damn a twofer…sorry this was meant instead.
speaking of ship of fools …this is the results of over 13 billion US dollars spent on the campaign to liberate Bosnia/Serbia from self-determination.
But. I’m sure as soon as the state crewed ship of fools finishes up liberating Syria from Assad and We the US from billions more tax dollars ,a return to the Balkans and to the US taxpayer for another ten billion or so will be the ticket to freeing those needing free , or who ever the CIA deems to be in the current in American interests.
He who sows hunger reaps anger,” warned the red graffiti on a Sarajevo government building this week. The message hinted at the depth of poverty and disillusionment in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) that has driven people to join demonstrations across the divided country, where the unemployment rate is about 40 percent. Protesters have since stormed and ransacked government buildings in Tuzla, Zenica, Mostar, and in the capital city of Sarajevo, where the headquarters of the presidency was also set ablaze. Some protesters allegedly threw firecrackers and stones at police, who responded with rubber bullets and tear gas. Hundreds have been injured. On Friday, activist Darko Brkan called the protests “a collective nervous breakdown”.
Demonstrations began on Tuesday in the northern city of Tuzla, where some 10,000 former workers gathered to demand that the local government investigate questionable privatizations they said had destroyed companies and their livelihood. Among the troubled firms was the Konjuh furniture factory, which was founded in 1885 by Austro-Hungarian entrepreneurs. During the socialist period, the company employed 5,300 employees and sold high-quality wood furnishings to clients on five continents. But by December 2012, the company employed just 400 workers, some of whom had gone on hunger strike. Also present were demonstrators from the 36-year-old Dita detergent factory — once the biggest producer of liquid detergents and washing powders in the country. Former Dita employees have protested over unpaid wages for at least two years.
Thanks for the comprehensive post on ObamaCare parade of horribles. Admin.
Of course, ObamaCare was NEVER about healthcare. Or insurance. It was about power.
ObamaCare is intended to collapse the system. Cloward and Piven anyone?
About those 7.1 million enrollees – the Feds may have switched over a significant number of people from other federal healthcare programs like Medicare to beef up their numbers.
People called into talk radio on Friday, stating that they never signed up for ObamaCare, never visited the website, never called the HHS office – BUT they got letters in the mail, stating they were signed up for ObamaCare and instructed to visit the Website. These people will NOT followup – so the numbers will be “adjusted”, just like unemployment numbers – down the line.
So, I think HHS simply switched millions of Americans – they already had their info because they are on Medicare – over to ObamaCare.
Problem solved. Nothing is real, all lies, all the time. Why should ObamaCare be any different?
