While the western media paints Vladmir Putin as some cross between Napoleon and Hitler marauding across Europe breaking international laws willy-nilly, there is one red line he is apparently unwilling to cross. In a somewhat surprising turn of events, none other than Edward Snowden called in to a Putin live telethon and asked the Russian President: “Does Russia intercept millions of citizens’ data?” Putin’s response (whether true or not) is worth paying attention to by his opponent on the world stage: “Russia uses surveillance techniques for spying on individuals only with the sanction of a court order. This is our law, and therefore there is no mass surveillance in our country.”

The Russian president said that he like Snowden used to work as a former intelligence officer and said that there is no mass scale or uncontrollable surveillance in Russia as there is in America.
“Russia uses surveillance techniques for spying on individuals only with the sanction of a court order. This is our law, and therefore there is no mass surveillance in our country”, Putin said.
Edward Snowden, the whistleblower who leaked detailed National Security Agency documents on how information is stockpiled on millions of Americans as well as world leaders, appeared via a video link from an undisclosed location to ask Vladimir Putin his question.
It seems even Putin won’t publicly cross that red line…
What would Obama do if asked to answer Snowden’s questions? Obama would make sure such an interview would never happen.
Let’s vote on the reasons why.
Obama would:
1) Wimp out and blame it on a teleprompter malfunction.
2) Claim a scheduling conflict with his heavy work, oops I mean golf, schedule.
3) Get Valarie Jarrett or Moochelle to write him a note saying he had a tummy bug, or was up too late with Reggie Love, or couldn’t get AF1 to get him back from his Chicago bath house in time, or that the dog BO ate his notes.
4) Threaten whatever network that would air such an interview with loss of its license, then claim that he couldn’t get a “fair hearing”.
5) Triangulate on Snowden’s position, take him out with some drones. Obama will then comfort Snowden’s family on the tragedy of “work place violence” and promise to get to the very bottom of it.
6) Get Eric Holder to launch a DOJ investigation into Snowden, claiming that to even question Obama on his policies is a “hate crime” and high Treason and just plain racisssst.
7) Sic the IRS on Snowden’s family to pressure Snowden to cancel the interview.
8) Tell Putin that if he keeps throwing Snowden in his face, Obama is going to get really really serious about some sanctions, I mean really really really serious, I’m talking a red line here, a line in the sand and not one inch further, yes, I’ll hold Vlad, after all I promised some flexibility after my election…….
I look forward to Edward Snowden’s testimony at Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Clapper, and Holder’s trial for treason.
