Fourth Turnings always involve brutal decisive wars that decide what will happen in the next 80 year cycle. Do you hear those drumbeats?

    U.S. set for Baltic military drills amid Ukraine crisis

    Aims to reassure allies in face of Russian aggression

    By Julian E. Barnes

    The U.S. will begin a series of military exercises with elite special operations forces in the Baltic states, a new element in ongoing efforts to reassure American allies that the U.S. will defend them in the face of renewed Russian aggression.

    Operation Spring Storm, the first of three exercises scheduled this month, will take place in Estonia. The two-week exercise will be followed by others in Latvia and Lithuania, officials said.

    The annual exercises were planned earlier, but have taken on a higher profile and new importance as tensions have continued between Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization over Ukraine.

    Addressing the upcoming special operations exercises, Col. Steven Warren, a top Pentagon spokesman, said they “send a clear signal to both our partners and our allies in the region that we are committed to security and stability in the area.”

    The U.S. has stepped up exercises with NATO members, as Russia has stationed large number of troops on the Ukraine border. This week Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would begin to withdraw some of those troops, and the Russian defense ministry said that Moscow has withdrawn troops. But Col. Warren said Thursday the U.S. had seen no movement of troops away from the border.

    Ukrainian videos of the Russian takeover of Crimea are eerie. The amount of firepower they brought to that power was clearly meant to deter the west from any overt actions.

    Similar videos of the buildup of Russia forces at the E. Ukraine border show the truth – Putin will take Ukraine. The west will do nothing.

    Putin will take back former Soviet Bloc countries one by one until things finally boil over.

    The CIA and the USSA overthrow the sovereign government in Ukraine, and install a group of neo-nazis. The director of the CIA visits, pushing them to fight. Then dipshit Joe Biden shows up, and they begin an offensive against Russian in Ukraine. The USSA and IMF loan bankrupt Ukraine more money, which goes into the pockets of the neo-Nazis and payments to Russia for billions owed.

    This is yet another proxy war fought by a foreign military; not authorized by Congress, and war not being declared. I still can’t understand why Putin and Russia haven’t taken the bait, but they will be forced to sooner or later.

    The USSA, making the world a giant war zone, killing and droning hundreds of thousands of innocent people caught in the crossfire, and destabilizing sovereign countries to preserve the dollar and the petrodollar, while the Federal Reserve is destroying the dollar and our economy at home to enrich billionaires. The world is FUBAR, and Obama and the criminals in Washington are the ones destroying it.

  5. Zarathustra says:

    I hate to get nitpicky but as regards the aerial stunt video, an Ace is a pilot who has a minimum of five confirmed kills. Expert pilots, certainly. Aces, I doubt it.

    Generally when our shit has faced their shit in battle, our shit has won. Sometimes it was because our shit was simply better, other times because their shit was operated by inferior foreign armies. In the one case I can think of where there shit was demonstrably better, namely the contest between the MiG 15 and the F86 Saber of the skies of Korea, the higher kill rate the Saber had has been attributed the the superior training of the US pilots.

    The only time I can think of where their shit was kicking our shit’s ass was over North Vietnam since their shit was equipped with guns and cannons where our shit, namely the F4, had missiles only because in the late fifties when it was designed, the US AirForce naively believed that the days of dogfighting were over and that future aerial battles would take place over long distances and with missile exchanges only.

    Since the fall of the USSR, Russia has extensively upgraded it’s military in every aspect. I suspect they also have higher motivation and pride given that they would be fighting over their own historic territory. In a non-nuclear, limited war between the US and Russia, I have no prediction of which side would prevail, although I do believe our carriers would be highly vulnerable since they are essentially obsolete relics of WW2 type naval warfare. Sure, they kick ass against inferior opponents but they have never been tested against a modern navy and air force.

    It’s nice discussing all the military hardware Z, but we have no business in Ukraine whatsoever, or Eastern Europe, or even in Europe for that matter. WFT are we involved in another coup of a sovereign foreign government? Our country is the biggest debtor nation in the history of the world, and we’re still trying to rule the world? The idiots running this country apparently aren’t aware we’re bankrupt, but Russia and China are aware. They’re going to put the last nails in our coffin, they’re making plans now, they’re playing chess and winning. Obama keeps licking checkers, wondering why the red ones taste the same as the superior black ones.

    I love how the media is doing their damnest to make Putin look evil, when Obama is the one destroying countries and killing innocent people. I can only hope karma catches up with our evil empire; we are going to pay for what we’ve done.

    I do believe the Russian people would have the will to fight, as I don’t think many will volunteer in the USSA. They will have to use force to get American kids to join.

    That has to be an eerie sound with all those rockets going off. And when it comes to battle rifles, the Russians win there.

    All talk of USSA vs Russia is fucking bullshit since both countries have thousands of nukes.

    Concerning the Russian Orthodox Cross:

    The top bar signifies the sign that was placed above Christ’s head, reading, “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” In Orthodox iconography the phrase “King of Glory” is often written on this bar instead.

    The center bar is that upon which Christ’s arms were stretched and nailed.

    The bottom bar signifies the footrest which supported His body.

    Interesting tidbits about the Christian cross.

    1)- There is ZERO evidence the cross was a Christian symbol prior to 300AD. So, really, Jeebus and the cross aren’t linked at all as far as Original Christians are concerned.

    2)- The second-century Christian teacher Clement of Alexandria identified a dove, a fish, a ship, a lyre, and an anchor as suitable images to be engraved on Christians’ signet-rings. But the most popular believe is that the fish was more “universal”.

    xian-fish-symbol.jpg?w=500&h=300

    3) Church Fathers in the 300’s condemned the use of the cross.

    4)- The very first appearance of a cross in Christian art is from the mid-5th century.

    5) According to Acts 5:30 and 1 Peter 2:24, Jeebus may actually have been hung on a tree (

    6) There are, however, MANY pre-Christian beginnings of the cross symbol …. going all the way back to Babylon where the cross took its place with a crescent moon and was the symbol of their moon deity.

    7) But my favorite, naturally, is Scandinavian mythology whereby the Tau cross symbolized the hammer of the God Thor. Go Thor!!!!

    That’s right, Stucky, Jesus was crucified on a tree.

    NATO was in Georgia, Republic of, not too recently. I suppose Putin senses weakness in the West over the Global Sovereign Debt Crisis, and perhaps rightly so.

    The problem with men mad with power hungry global ambitions, they tend to be ruthless and often quite brilliant. Alexander, Charlemagne, Genghis Kahn, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung.

    Yes, the 20th century is replete with the most extreme examples of totalitarianism leading to the worst democracide. Let’s not leave out the Khmer Rouge, although technically they and North Korea are extensions of the Chinese police state.

    I don’t know how these rulers fit into 4th turnings, but suffice it to say it’s not impossible to imagine we could find ourselves embroiled in a third world war, fighting for the future of our species.

    Let’s not leave out the US, the greatest war machine the world has ever known, and an oligarchy state as ruthless as any ever known, willing to go to any length to preserve their global hegemony which requires all states to submit to the rule of the dollar, or it’s successor, of which they won’t control. Their very survival is at stake, at least from their perspective.

    There’s nothing less than the control of the world, the cosmos, and the future of our species at stake. It remains to be seen whether the East or the West is stronger, but I think the edge goes to the West. The prize is still Iran, and Russia’s display of force is merely drum beating, and rather futile in effort, for what does it gain him, except symbolically, which is why he needs for this to be demonstrated to him.

    It will be interesting to see what tricks these ponies will resort to. I think I’ll go pop some popcorn.

    “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures.
    He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
    He leads me in paths of righteousness
    for his name’s sake.

    Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

    You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
    you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
    Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    all the days of my life,
    and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
    forever.”

    (Psalm 23 ESV)

    Amen and amen.

  22. Zarathustra says:

    Rise Up, it’s been a few years since I did a bit of study about the Gnostics and other early christian sects. I recall that one of them denied the divinity of Jesus. The Roman church derives from a sect, presumably influenced by Paul, for whom the bible consisted of the first four gospels only. Later gospels were only canonized at the Council of Nicaea. Regardless of how many different sects existed, they were all wiped out once Rome acquired a controlling interest in Jesus Inc., the Byzantines spun off the Orthodox variety centuries later (fwiw, I think the Orthodox version is pretty cool).

    For all we know, Jesus might have approved of that deal. He spoke fairly highly of the Romans and was most likely educated at Sepphoris as a youth, which was the capital city of the Galilee region and a city full of Romanized Jews. Due to this, the city was spared any damage during the revolt of 79 AD when its’ inhabitants remained loyal to Rome.

    Barack is My Shepherd, I shall not work.
    He makes me lie down on my free Sleep Number bed
    He leads me beside factories where other people work
    He restores my faith in the Neegrow race
    He leads me in paths of permanent unemployment
    For White Folks sake.

    Even though I walk through the valley of Trayvon’s death,
    I will fear no evil,
    for Eric Holder is with me;
    his hating White Folk and their guns,
    this comforts me.

    You prepare endless SNAP cards before me
    in the very presence of stoopid White Folk;
    you anoint my head with pubic hairs,

  24. Llpoh says:

    Z – by 1968, the North Vietnamese almost entirely refused to engage US fighters. They had success earlier owing to the US fighters not having cannon, but that was fixed by 68. The majority of US planes lost in Vietnam overall were a result of artillery fire. The mig21 was a better fighter, it seems, but US pilots were far better trained with better air to air capability.

    9th May 2014 at 8:51 pm

  26. Zarathustra says:

    Llpoh, I have forgotten the specifics, but the entire reason the “Top Gun” program was started was that the Air Force realized from Vietnam experience that they had stopped teaching pilots the art of dogfighting (it really should be called energy management) and that was causing the loss of planes and lives.

    If WW1, really where the foundations were laid, and WW2 taught us anything in terms of aerial combat, is that a highly skilled pilot can prevail even when he has inferior equipment. WW2 Japanese Ace Hiroyoshi Nishizawa is perhaps the best example. This guy, with at least 100 kills, never flew anything but the zero, long after it had been rendered obsolete. Yet he never lost a wingman and never lost an engagement. He only was killed as a passenger on a transport. Asked once how he managed to defeat the much more powerful F4U “Corsair” he replied that it wasn’t more difficult, it just took more time.

  27. Zarathustra says:

    Llpoh, One moar thing. The MiG 21 was pretty new when the US was going apeshit under El BJ in Vietnam. I don’t think there were all that many in service there. The bulk of the NV fighters were MiG 17’s, which were nothing but an upgraded MiG 15.

    I remember when the USSR fell, that you could buy a MiG 21, in flying condition including a spare engine for $20,000. That’s pretty cheap for a supersonic jet!
