“how is it that most Americans cannot see his sickness?”

Because he’s such a nice guy, and he said he was “very angry” after he learned about the, about……..ah, just about everything after the fact. But that’s not his fault!

One thing’s for sure, the dog is smarter than bathhouse barry. All this bullshit about “I didn’t know until I heard it on the news” is a joke; he’s lying through his teeth, as usual. Each and every scandal was planned and orchestrated by Obama and his evil minions. Or Valerie Jarrett doesn’t even bother to tell him anymore. There’s a new scandal every day, and they keep piling up. I hope to God at least one will result in his impeachment.

The buck stop with B.O. . Shinseki allowed all this illegal and shameful actions to occur on his watch and must resign. But the buck stops with Obummer and there is absolutely no way the asshole first learned about the VA problems through newspaper articles. No way.. No how.

His should be the second resignation and both of them need a tar and feather send off from Sodom on the Potomac along with every chief administrator of every VA clinic or VA hospital that participated in this terrible farce.

Vets died here. Enough die or are crippled in combat. We must not allow survivors to die after they survive combat, return home sick and crippled and then get put on phantom lists that do not get an appointment just to allow the hospital and senior administrative drone to pay themselves bonus money.

That is absolutely unacceptable and asses should be fired, punished and nailed to the wall for it.

Period.

Hey Monkey shit throwing TBPers! I just learned that after you make a comment you can give yourself a “thumbs up” to bias the rating widget! How cool is that.

Makes TBP comment ratings look like something BLS or the CBO does with their data! Fake it!

AWD,
I just got banned from Politicus.USA a flaming progressive website that I got a few chuckles out of trolling for a few days. They are very touchy about the truth and literally any thing you say against the President is met with the hew and cry of racism. I posted the video from Idiot and Chief and is sent them over the edge. If you want to see how demented the liberal progressive mind is check them out, but you might have to take a shower afterwards.

BTW just came from my GP, his practice dropped all Medicaid, he said he was sick and tired of practicing medicine on people who refuse to work for a living. I did not ask him if this meant he also had to drop Medicare patients. He said he could not afford to take insurance that was so slow/reluctant to reimburse. It sad and ironic because this is a deeply religious and compassionate man who has flown around the world to volunteer his services at his own expense and even he sees the writing on the wall. He told me that at 64 he felt it was an honor to practice medicine, but he sees the end coming soon. He talked about how many of his friends have gone to all cash practices and that they do not take any insurances, but he felt this was a disservice to many of his long term patients. He’s been my doctor for over 20 years, it’s just sad.
Bob.

Bob

Good job stirring up some shit on the brainless liberals.

Your doctor is pretty common these days. Doctors have had enough, and Obamacare was the final straw. People that work for a living are seeing their insurance premiums go up double or triple digits, and then we find out tax money is being used to bail out these same HMO’s. It’s criminal, and all enabled by Obama.

Medicaid is almost useless. Doctors, and especially specialists don’t take it, period. Obama’s handing out useless “medical cards” to millions of people. They’re only choice is to go to ER’s, which have to, by law, see these people. Then the state and Medicaid pay 10 cents on the dollar, if at all, then come in and audit and take back these payments. This will result in hospitals closing down, as they can’t break even anymore. The ER’s around here are literally flooded with new medicaid patients. They’re so happy to get free insurance, they’re going to the ER 3-4 times a week.

I’m trying to get out of medicine. What I thought I needed for retirement keeps dropping, so I can get out sooner. Obama’s plan was to destroy the healthcare system, so the government can take it over. Then the real fun begins.

Fournier: VA Scandal ‘One of the Lowest Points’ of Obama’s Presidency

By Andrew Johnson May 22, 2014

President Obama’s poor handling of the mismanagement at the Department of Veterans Affairs could plague his presidency as an all-time low point, says National Journal’s Ron Fournier.

“The fact of the matter is the political response to this thing has been both dishonest and way too weak,” he said on Wednesday’s Special Report. “I think this may be one of the lowest points of his presidency.”

Fournier said not only has the Obama administration been misleading in its response to allegations of incidents of malpractice in VA facilities across the country that led to the death of several veterans waiting for care, but also that President Obama has failed to live up to his promise to improve the department.

“The president has known the VA has been a mess for a long time, and hasn’t done anything to get it fixed,” he said. “It’s gotten worse recently — at least for the last two years, we’ve known we’ve had these problems and nothing’s been done.”

VA Admits 23 Veteran Deaths Linked to Delays in Care..

SHAPIRO: Left’s VA-Worship Comes Back to Bite

It’s all fun and games until we discover the secret waiting lists.

Ben Shapiro

As the fallout from the Veterans Administration cooking of the books and the related deaths of over three dozen veterans continues, President Obama took to the podium on Wednesday to explain that problems at the VA are nothing new. On Wednesday, President Obama took to the podium to first express his tremendous anger – VA Secretary Eric Shinseki was “mad as hell” but President Obama was “madder than hell,” thus winning the rage sweepstakes – and then explained that the VA’s issues go back years:

[A]ll of us, whether here in Washington or all across the country, have to stay focused on the larger mission, which is upholding our sacred trust to all of our veterans, bringing the VA system into the 21st century, which is not an easy task…. caring for our veterans is not an issue that popped up in recent weeks. Some of the problems with respect to how veterans are able to access the benefits that they’ve earned, that’s not a new issue.

Obama’s statement, however, was remarkably short on actual solutions for the VA. Throwing money at the problem hasn’t fixed it: using 2011 dollars, America spent $88.8 billion on the VA in 2007, and $125.3 billion on the VA in 2012.

And herein lies the problem for the left: the failures at the VA, including its bureaucratic incompetence, its waiting lists, and its deaths, all debunk the notion that a government-run healthcare system will work. It’s a fresh slap in the face to all those commentators who, in pushing Obamacare, endorsed the VA as a model.

There are some pretty big names on that list. Paul Krugman in 2011 wrote of the VA’s “huge success story”:

Multiple surveys have found the VHA providing better care than most Americans receive, even as the agency has held cost increases well below those facing Medicare and private insurers…the VHA is an integrated system, which provides health care as well as paying for it. So it’s free from the perverse incentives created when doctors and hospitals profit from expensive tests and procedures, whether or not those procedures actually make medical sense.

Krugman added, “Yes, this is ‘socialized medicine’…But it works, and suggests what it will take to solve the troubles of US health care more broadly.”

Similarly, Nicholas Kristof of the Times wrote in 2009:

Take the hospital system run by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the largest integrated health system in the United States. It is fully government run, much more “socialized medicine” than is Canadian health care with its private doctors and hospitals. And the system for veterans is by all accounts one of the best-performing and most cost-effectiveelements in the American medical establishment.

Just last year, Uwe Reinhardt of Princeton wrote in the pages of the Times:

Remarkably, Americans of all political stripes have long reserved for our veterans the purest form of socialized medicine, the vast health system operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (generally known as the V.A. health system). If socialized medicine is as bad as so many on this side of the Atlantic claim, why have both political parties ruling this land deemed socialized medicine the best health system for military veterans? Or do they just not care about them?

Or try the RAND Corporation: “If other health care providers followed the V.A.’s lead, it would be a major step toward improving the quality of care across the U.S. health care system.”

Then there’s Voxsplainer Ezra Klein, who wrote in the Washington Post in 2009 that “expanding the Veterans Health Administration to non-veterans” was “one of my favorite ideas.”

Jonathan Golob of The Seattle Stranger has written in the same vein: “Every time I read about a Teabagger ranting about how socialized medicine will destroy this country I think of the VA system. There it is, a huge and vastly important universal healthcare system—government run, single payer and therefore socialist—right here in the brave and privatized United States: The Veterans Affairs hospitals.”

The left has routinely used the VA as a club to wield in favor of socialized medicine. No wonder they’re running scared from the current VA scandal – which, as President Obama rightly notes, has been under way for decades.

I actually feel bad because he actually loves being a doctor, ironically he also has a degree in engineering and is on the board of the largest hospital on the South Shore. He never touts how smart he is, quite humble in my opinion. The progressives will soon get what they want universally shitty healthcare. This state which already had very expensive universal healthcare then with the advent of Obamacare handed out tens of thousands of Mass Health/Medicaid cards.Of course they just closed down one of the few western MA hospitals and they will be opening it back up as an emergency facility only, good business model sure to be a money maker.

Not to cut Obama any slack, but the VA has been a disaster for decades, under both parties. The problem is the same as all over the government – lack of accountability. When do heads ever roll?

Obama Administration Just Got Caught in a Massive Lie …

WVOC.com: The LA Times has been as friendly as possible to the Obama administration, but they can’t ignore this. Today they broke the story that another massive lie around Obamacare has been told to the Congress and the American people. As you know “If you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan” was ranked as the biggest lie of the year by the Washington Post. Well here comes an early contender for this year’s award.

The Republicans have been accusing the Obama administration of building into Obamacare an insurance plan for the insurance companies. A bailout if the insurance companies lost money under Obamacare. Their claim was that in the law was something called the temporary risk corridor program. Under that Republicans said the administration had allowed themselves a way to take tax dollars and bailout an insurance company that lost money. But the administration and the Democrats have denied that. Apparently the administration and the Democrats had been telling the truth…and didn’t like it.

The LA Times reports that late last week hundreds of pages of new regulations were added to Obamacare. Their reporters went through it and found a few key paragraphs. The change in regulations essentially provides insurers with another backup: If they keep rate increases modest over the next couple of years but lose money, the administration will tap federal funds as needed to cover shortfalls. This could be hundreds of billions of dollars!

This is a classic bait and switch. The middle class will feel like they’re getting a break on insurance premiums. As long as they don’t look at the governments check book, they’ll believe the Affordable Health Care Law is working. It only unravels if they realize they are paying double for their insurance, because the increase is being charged to their account in the form of more debt.

The Republicans are expected to go nuts over this, and the Democrats will point at the scene they are making and say ‘look how fanatical those people are’. I would warn Republicans against making a big deal out of this.
