I have a friend who was driving through Ohio yesterday and emailed me that he saw a sign saying
GOT FAR WOOD
and he wished he had taken a picture for TBP.
I did an image search and up pops the exact sign he had seen.

As with most places there are a couple of “bad parts” of the city I live in. My best friend happens to live in one of them. Whenever we have something that is broken or no longer of any use to us we just put it on the curb behind his house. If we put a sign on it that says “free” it will sit there forever but if we swap the free sign for one that says “$5”, the object, no matter how ugly, mangled or messed up it is, will be gone in a couple of hours. Works every time and we’ve been doing it for 20+ years. It always makes us laugh.
Another bad part of town is literally called Felony Flats. One day I was doing a concrete job in Felony Flats and was talking to the homeowners neighbor who was hillbilly to his core. I asked why the neighborhood was called Felony Flats and he didn’t know but said that since they started cleaning the place up it is now called Misdemeanor Meadows!
