Growing up in the country I can assure you I learned about hard work, bucking hay when I was 16, helping my father build a barn at the age of 12, picking strawberries and prunes the summer (all summer) I turned 10, butchering animals, you were always working.
For myself and anyone that knows what hard work country living is all about, to hear the Obamas say they want their daughters to experience hard work by having them spend some time at a McDonalds, is absolutely hilarious. It just goes to show how clueless those people are.

Damned if I didn’t learn something about prunes, which I thought were ALL just dried plums. Wrong. There is such a thing as a fresh prune. Here …..
