I agree. I worked at a bank and used to hand out the money when the checks came in. A few of these people were obviously disabled or mentally ill but most of them, I’d say 9 out of 10 at least, looked like they could easily have worked.

SSDI is indeed the biggest scam in America, even worse than welfare. The lawyers have built this system into a fraud cash-cow. It’s bankrupting this country, but the fucking lawyers don’t care. People to fat to walk, to lazy to work, sore back, depressed, chronic hang-nails, halitosis, YOU QUALIFY! Call us, we’ll get you on disability for life.

The deadbeats get at least 2 years “back pay” even though many have never worked a day in their lives, free everything for life, they drive new cars, take vacations every year, and live the good life, and somehow think they deserve it. The only good news is that the SSDI program is completely bankrupt in 2016, so their days are numbered. I can’t wait to see how the criminals in Washington are going to try and “fix” it. Disability costs almost $500 billion a year, and when it’s bankrupt, it’s either going to end, or the money is going to have to come from somewhere. Some day, the 95% of people on disability that are scammers, fraudsters, and lazy fucks are going to have to get a job, or hopefully starve. Socialism is great, until Obama and the rest of the criminals in Washington run out of other people’s money. For SSDI, it won’t be much longer. And oh, the outcry, “disability is bankrupt? How could you allow it to happen?” We’ll see who gets the last laugh.

Social Security in every form is a scam, ponzi scheme, and of course fraud.

I work in a union shop and there is an absolute lust amongst the laziest here to win the ssdi lottery. They doctor shop, lie, complain, and act like the rest of the world owes them a comfortable lifestyle with late model cars, technology, vacations, housing, and food. We shouldn’t make able bodied people comfortable in their poverty. I’m all for individual acts of charity, but forcing the productive to sacrifice the fruits of their labor to support the able bodied is immoral. Now the truly disabled should be taken care of well to the extent that their own families cannot provide for them.

Remember the story about the able bodied, grown-ass man(Ohio i think) who slept in a crib and wore diapers? He was on ssdi.

Greetings,

What can not go on forever wont. The problem, as I see it, is that SSDI runs out of cash just around the time of the next presidential election. The FSA is now a strong and powerful voting block with a real reason to waddle out of their homes on election day. They truly understand that they can vote themselves other people’s money.

How much longer will the productive class tolerate this theft?

First of all, geniuses, SSDI disability is money that the disabled have already paid in – You have to have enough credits and paid in enough money from years of employment to even qualify for disability. And the amount you receive is based on how much you’ve paid in. So the disabled are basically getting back what they’ve already given.

Second, who the hell are you morons to determine that they are in fact not disabled? Do you know more than the doctors? You are completely stupid.

And to the genius who said, “Social Security in every form is a scam, ponzi scheme, and of course fraud.” … Remember those words when you want to retire. I think you should get nothingwhen you’re 65 and should be forced to be homeless because that’s what idiots like you deserve.

And to “AWD”, most everything you’ve said is factually wrong. 2 years backpay? Wrong. Just like everything else you’ve said.

….”There’s a popular and ugly misconception that folks who have been found disabled under a Social Security disability benefits program are:

(a) elderly

(b) undeserving

(c) disabled for life; and/or

(d) taking advantage of the system

Our social security disability clients are young and old, wealthy and homeless. And their “impairments” – the word that Social Security uses – include: Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, anxiety and depression, ischemic heart disease, degenerative disc disease, Lupus, cancer, asthma, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, traumatic brain injury, HIV/AIDS and interstitial cystitis, to name just a few.

**I’ve never met a client who would rather receive disability benefits than feel healthy and be able to work !** Many of my clients could and probably will do some kind of part-time work eventually. Very few of my clients could be described as elderly.”

Stucky

Jackoff, a lawyer who makes a living off SSDI clients ….. defend SSDI.

Now there’s a BIG FUCKING SURPRISE!

Bull fucking shit. A shitty lawyer at that. I absolutely positively 100% know first-hand of teenagers who receive SSDI ,,, teenagers who haven’t worked a fuckin day in their lives.

I’m a physician who applied for SSDI over 2 years ago.
My illness is from having pesticide sprayed in my office- it has ruined my life.

I put a lot of money in on the idea if something bad happened that I would get help.
That has not happened.
In my experience SSDI is a scam- but not the way many here are saying.
People who have severe disabling illness are made to jump through impossible hoops and ran in circles until exhausted.
SSDI ” orders” (meaning requests without a proper prescription, diagnosis, reason, etc.)
expensive and inappropriate tests as a mechanism to delay and deny claims- many who are waiting for help die before they see a dime, and they have to shell out thousands for care that has no purpose. This is done by a secretary- NOT a licensed clinician.
My peers who do SSDI evals are scammers-they rubber stamp charts for a quick paycheck- they have zero concern what happens to these people- and they lie-saying severely ill people are fine to work. The worst I ever met is Dr. Debra Cherry at Harborview in Seattle- she is a lying cun&.
I paid in hundreds of thousands of dollars over my career.
My diagnosis is terminal.

Are some people finding a way to take advantage- I’m sure there are- but many are not.
If you see someone in a bank cashing a check- that might be the only day that month they were able to get out of bed. Many severely disabling illnesses are not outwardly obvious- could you tell that guy you saw collect a check had an aggressive brain tumor?

Many would improve if given proper and prompt assistance- the system grinds these people into dust.
Maybe the only people who get help are scammers who are healthy and savvy enough to navigate the byzantine bureaucracy.
The percentage of applicants approved is maybe 25-35% depending on the state- is the opinion that 3 out of 4 people applying are scammers?
I wish people were told the truth and given the option to put their hard earned money elsewhere- I regret giving these lying Mo3456f@#$%ers a dime.
I worked 80-100 hours a week for much of my career.
I get that many of you are angry about freeloaders- I am too- especially because the system has been adapted to deal with these a-holes, and not designed to help people who need it.

it took me a long time to type this- i hope sharing this can help people- the system needs to change.
