I’m about to enter vacation mode. Time to recharge the batteries. Posts will be more sporadic. My internet connection won’t be as good. This is an opportunity for the contributors to post more of their stuff.

Hurricane Warning Issued For East Coast Independence Day Weekend

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 07/02/2014 14:19 -0400
As if having to pay the highest price of gas since 2008 for the Independence Day weekend wasn’t bad enough, millions of traveling east coasters will now have to deal with what may develop into a hurricane as well, and will certainly result in less than perfect weather conditions as the holiday weekend unrolls.

Presenting Tropical Storm Arthur. According to NBC, a hurricane watch was issued Wednesday for part of North Carolina as the first named tropical storm of the season gathered strength and threatened July Fourth celebrations along the East Coast. Negative impact to Q3 GDP? Still unknown.

  3. 1982 … I was twelve years old, with a schnozz (and a pair of feet) growing at twice the pace of the rest of my body. I deeply envied Belinda Carlisle her pert little nose. Now my big nose is perfectly in proportion to my big ass!!! Ha ha ha ! Eat that AWD, you skinny worshiper.

  4. Love the Go-Gos. Saw them in 1984 and again in 2004 when they got back together and went on tour. Even better the second time.

  5. My daughter went to Wilmington DE with her boyfriend yesterday to spend 5 sunny…and not so sunny…days with his family at their beach house. Looking at the path of the storm, they will be catching the brunt of it; which means I will be going through a wave of angst until I hear from her. Ugh.

In my next lifetime I’m following Pirate Jo’s advise:

    Don’t have kids.
