IS FREE CLEAN WATER IN DETROIT REALLY A HUMAN RIGHT?

The moochers in Detroit are learning the hard way what happens when they have no more money from other people to sustain them. The bankrupt city of Detroit has begun shutting off water and sewer to tens of thousands who have not paid their water bills for months.

Predictably, those facing shut-offs are protesting in the streets (they certainly don’t have jobs) of Detroit screaming “Fight, fight, water is a human right.” But is free water really a right? If water is a human right, isn’t free food? And free housing? And free transportation? How about free cell phones? And free money to buy the latest Air Jordans? Do the mooching classes of a rapidly decaying bankrupt city have a human right to all these things? Because for generations, they’ve been taught by liberals that all these comforts and necessities are their right as long as they vote for Democrats. But these goods and services don’t appear magically. Someone has to pay for them.

Margaret Thatcher famously said, “The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” Detroit is there and other black-run, Democrat dominated American cities are following close behind. Also a few cracka run socialist utopias in California, too.

Here’s some bad news for the Obama mooching classes. It’s not Obama money. The conveniences you have mooched for generations were paid for by producers in the private sector. In fact, that wealth taken from producers still isn’t enough to cover America’s expenses. America has borrowed/printed $85 billion each month since 2008 to keep the Obama Circus going. And the show is just about over.

Here’s some more bad news for the Obama mooching classes. If you haven’t noticed, brown is the new blackss for Democrats. Your King Obama cares a whole lot more for the brown hordes he’s bringing illegally to America. He no longer needs black people because the Democrats already own all of your votes. He needs to create more mooching classes for more Democrat votes. And what people better than those from Third World countries (Detroit, Birmingham, Baltimore, Philly, etc notwithstanding) to shower with freebies paid for by the dwindling number of American producers? In their countries, you either work or starve so Obama’s Mooching Plan is just too juicy to withstand. So better get used to those ObamaPhones being turned off in the near future. They will be replaced with ObamaCelulares.

Actually, there is as much free water for Detroit Moochers that they can use very close by. Lake Michigan is huge and contains billions of gallons of water just for the taking. Just take the public transportation as close to Lake Michigan as it runs and fill up your jugs. Be sure to boil and purify the water before you drink it or use it for cooking. As for sewer services, poor Americans for generations used outhouses for those purposes. I suggest you use the local Democrat Party office bathrooms while they’re still open. The line starts 10 blocks back.

Oh, you want clean water to come out of your spigot? Well, there’s a cost for that. Responsible people pay for the luxury of water and sewer in their houses. Those treatment plants, water pipes and the people employed to maintain them cost money. And there’s no more other people’s money left to spend in Detroit. The producers loaded up their cars (not public transportation) and fled your socialist, racist hellhole long ago. Get used to it. You caused it and you deserve it!

I don’t feel sorry for the mooching class in America but I do pity them. They are worthless and totally dependent on the hard work of responsible producers for their sustenance. And these large black-run, Democrat controlled municipalities have literally killed the Golden Goose who made all the mooching possible.

So all you Detroit moochers who want free water maybe should go to 99%er Michael the Hutt Moore’s one bedroom, 20 kitchen mansion for free water and bathrooms. But he’s a phony and wouldn’t let you lick the box of his most recent Sara Lee cheesecake. So you better start moving down to Lake Michigan. And be careful what you pull out of the lake. That might not be a real brown trout!

Read this silliest bullshit this AM, and yes access to water is a human right, and Pt. Pelee National Park on Lake Erie has lots of fresh water. All you need is a bucket and some public transportation.

Water is free in other the developed countries like Kenya and Somalia …why not the Peoples Republic of Detroit?

What we need to renew this tea -bagging nation’s sagging social spirit is a more strong and vibrant genuine black leadership.

At least Marvel comics has a clue.Strong black leadership is the future of the new multicultural America . Born prejudiced white people are holding America back from achieving peace and prosperity in our time and are so yesterday

Marvel is replacing Steve Rogers with the new, black Captain America

“He’s a modern-day man in touch with the problems of the 21st Century.”

Freezing to death in winter is a natural right and should no be denied any New Englander .Thank god for those with great foresight and management skill whom we can trust with planning our future.

Get Ready for the New England Power Shortage

Governors are already meeting in emergency session.
“It’s going to be very tricky for New England over the next three to four years,” says Gordon van Welie, CEO of the Independent Systems Operator of New England, which run the grid. Van Welie begged the region not to close down Vermont Yankee and Brayton Point, but who listens to anyone who understands electricity anymore? Interestingly, New England only got through last winter by regularly importing 1,400 megawatts from Indian Point, the two nuclear plants on the Hudson in neighboring New York. Says New Hampshire energy consultant William P. Short III, “Without Indian Point, New England would have been toast.” As you might expect, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and most of the state’s Democratic politicians are trying to close down Indian Point as well.

Naturally, all this is falling hardest on people who hold blue-collar jobs. The Gorham Paper and Tissue Company in New Hampshire was forced to reduce production and lay off workers in the depths of last winter. The Great Northern Paper Co. in Maine laid off 200 workers and closed down for four months. In fact, if you want to know why we have “income inequality” and a “disappearing middle class,” look no further than the class warfare being waged on American industry by upper-educated elites snugly ensconced in the digital economy or sitting in Washington writing regulations telling everybody else what to do. “We’re going to have an economy that operates only nine months of the year,” complains Maine Governor Paul LePage, the only Republican in the region.

So where will New England be getting its electricity? Almost daily the newspapers are filled with stories about how the region is “going green” and about to enter the delightful world of “clean energy.” It’s sheer fantasy. No one has the slightest notion of what it would entail. You would have to cover half of the Green Mountains with windmills to recover the power lost at Vermont Yankee and even then it would only work when the wind is blowing. Almost as soon as the news came about the closing of Vermont Yankee, one company proposed building a power plant that burned wood in the wilds of western Massachusetts. However, someone soon discovered that burning wood produces smoke and carbon dioxide as well. It was quickly shouted down. It’s probably just as well. At one point Massachusetts drew up plans to harvest wood for electricity and discovered it would soon strip the state of its forests.http://spectator.org/articles/60007/get-ready-new-england-power-shortage

HA! Free water IS a right-right down in that big, you might say “great” lake not too far away.

RE the New England power issue-Does anyone know where Ayn Rand’s crystal ball went after she passed away? Obviously, it worked, and I wonder what wonders it would reveal if we could dig it up?

Clean water as a human right. What good does that do, if there isn’t enough of it to go around? You can call anything you want a human right and insist that people are entitled to it, but the laws of supply and demand don’t really care what you think.

While we’re at it, a brand new Jaguar is a human right. If I just wave my tiny fists in the air long enough, I’m sure one will be delivered to my house.

AWD finally wrote something worth reading. I wonder if it was contributed without citation. Somehow, I suspect not, but you never know with our resident GOP party chair.

“So all you Detroit moochers who want free water maybe should go to 99%er Michael the Hutt Moore’s one bedroom, 20 kitchen mansion for free water and bathrooms.”

That’s some funny shit, right there.

Water is a human right, but delivery to your home and more importantly, removal of the crap you add to it safely away from your home is not.

The only thing I can’t agree with is the Lake Michigan references. Lake Michigan is like 200 miles away from Detroit.

However, the Detroit river, along with many other tributaries, is not far from any resident. I personally have a river about a half mile from my home, accessible through a woods without having to many chances to be caught in the open. Anyway. Not Lake Michigan, it irks me when those that wish to be paid for their prose refuse to do the most basic of research. Personal pet peeve, so sorry.

I have a solution, and it could work nationwide as De’toilet is getting ready to set precedent that soon will be used in your backyard.

Supply 5 gallon buckets, two to a household for free, pay after that, and install faucets on the fire hydrants. The cost would be minimal compared to gifting these human waste’s more free shit that they don’t pay for, wonder how many millions gallons of fresh water will be squandered because a victim isn’t about to pay to repair a toilet, or a faucet, when the resource spewing forth holds NO value.

Oh my freaking aching, working, ass! I’ve already been informed that thanks to the “bankruptcy” (joke, screwing of vendors and a few bondholders), that my water bill is going to double while those within Detroit city limits will NOT BE increased, to “pay” for the freaking Detroit Water pensions while the employees will be taking a MASSIVE 4% hit to their pensions. Oh my gawd, how will they ever pay for their rims and weaves?

And now THIS?!?

I HATE THIS FREAKING PLACE, I HATE THIS FREAKING STATE, I HATE IT ALL.

*Sigh*

So it goes, serenity now…

Well…

It does rain in Detroit. TE and the other taxpayers could subsidize catchment for rooftops, and then the poor citizens of the Motor City would be completely free of the public utility. They could get their water free forever, right out of the sky.

But that would eliminate their dependency on TPTB. And they’d be personally responsible for their own water treatment, if they wanted any treatment.

(And in a hat tip to my tin-foil hat friends, let me point out that they’d be off fluoride, too.)

Lake Michigan is on the West side of the state – between Wisconsin and Michigan and above Chicago – perhaps the writer meant the Detroit River?

Detroit is actually on the east side of the state, on the strait between Lake Erie and Lake Huron. It is on the Detroit River, and the end of Lake Erie is in the Detroit metro area.

It is nowhere NEAR Lake Michigan, which is clear over on the west side of the state.

I get the point, which is that Detroiters whose water has been shut off, still have (relatively) easy access to ample fresh water.

But the writer might wish to consult a map to avoid looking like a stone cretin, in future articles.
