THE RUSSIAN RESPONSE to Flight MH17

Admin posted the article in the “Whistleblower” thread.  But, here is the Russian video.

Damn facts!! They’re so inconvenient.

Truth starts to trickle out of Russia, including radar pics.

Oh. Wait. They’re Russians. These are all lies. Only the American media and politicians have truth.

The niggah in charge of the USA!USA!USA! has all this info, if not more. He knows the exact truth. He chooses to lie to us. Da Lawd needs to call that muthafucka “home”.

Radar eats shit.

Pictures of Nazi Ukie missile launchers near Donetsk eat shit. Lies!!

Easy, folks.

The Russians have just started their counterattack against the West’s version. Unlike Khrushchev in 1960, who took just 2 or 3 days to shove a pie in Ike’s face over the U-2 incident, Putin will proceed with caution. Mainly because he has less damning evidence. I think.

Once Putin collects the facts, if they’re in his favor, he may decide to take one of two courses. Pie in the face or Chinese water torture. I’d vote for Door #2.

Establishment media criticizes Ron Paul for failing to attack Russia

by Kurt Nimmo | Infowars.com | July 22, 2014

The McClatchy Washington Bureau insists Ron Paul’s recent article blaming the United States for the current situation in Ukraine is radical and spells trouble for his son.

“Normally the Texas Straight Talk column deals with libertarian issues such as Paul’s longstanding criticism of the Federal Reserve. But Sunday’s piece on the Ukraine, ostensibly about why the United States should stay out of the affairs of others, may prove problematic for his son, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul,” writes Kevin G. Hall.

Mr. Hall’s remark reveals a surprising ignorance of libertarianism. The political philosophy emphasizes building positive relationships based of free trade and mutual consent and avoids negative relationships predicated on military interventionism and violence.

McClatchy is merely following the establishment script calling for an aggressive and warlike attitude toward Russia. Not mentioned is the fact this interventionist policy is opposed by the American people who are more in line with Ron Paul and the libertarians.

Last December Pew Research found a large and growing number of Americans opposed U.S. military intervention. A majority believes the U.S. should “mind its own business internationally” and pay more attention to problems at home.

“The public’s skepticism about U.S. international engagement – evident in America’s Place in the World surveys four and eight years ago – has increased,” the poll found. “Currently, 52% say the United States ‘should mind its own business internationally and let other countries get along the best they can on their own.’ Just 38% disagree with the statement. This is the most lopsided balance in favor of the U.S. “minding its own business” in the nearly 50-year history of the measure.”

More recently a Politico survey revealed most Americans do not approve of United States intervention abroad. “Amid deepening violence across Eastern Europe and the Middle East, Americans are recoiling from direct engagement overseas and oppose U.S. involvement in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine by large margins, according to a POLITICO poll of 2014 battleground voters,” Alexander Burns writes.

“Asked whether the U.S should do more to counter Russian aggression in Ukraine, just 17 percent answered in the affirmative,” Politico notes.

Large majorities want U.S. troops out of Afghanistan and prefer less involvement in the crises in Iraq and Syria.

“Americans are profoundly wary of getting entangled overseas and seem to be skeptical of the value of projecting U.S. power on foreign conflicts.”

Despite the overwhelming opinion of the American people – agreeing with founding father George Washington who warned to be “beware of foreign entanglements” – the government consistently manufactures crises around the world and intervenes militarily. Both Democrats and Republicans in Congress ignore the will of the people and follow the marching orders of the elite.

Finally, McClathcy reveals its slavish subservience to the global crises agenda with its accompanying brazen propaganda campaign when it characterizes Ron Paul’s remarks as “provocative.”

“While western media outlets rush to repeat government propaganda on the event, there are a few things they will not report,” Paul writes.

The things not mentioned include the documented fact the regime in Kiev was put there by the U.S. State Department and that it is currently involved in ethnic cleansing in eastern Ukraine.

The corporatist media “will not report that neither Russia nor the separatists in eastern Ukraine have anything to gain but everything to lose by shooting down a passenger liner full of civilians.”

Or will they “report that the Ukrainian government has much to gain by pinning the attack on Russia, and that the Ukrainian prime minister has already expressed his pleasure that Russia is being blamed for the attack.”

For the establishment media, these talking points are forbidden. Only Ron Paul and the alternative media will discuss the truth.

That is why they are now routinely described as isolationists and fellow travelers aligned with the new Evil Empire, Russia.

U.S. Admits Its MH17 ‘Evidence’ is Based on YouTube Clips & Social Media Posts

AP journalist challenges State Department spokesperson on official narrative

by Paul Joseph Watson | July 22, 2014

In a testy exchange between AP reporter Matt Lee and U.S. State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf, Lee virtually corners Harf into admitting that the “evidence” presented by the U.S. to blame Russian-backed rebels for the shoot down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 amounts to nothing more than YouTube videos and social media posts.

Lee begins by asking Harf how the U.S. plans to produce “forensic evidence” proving Russian-backed rebels were behind the attack, to which Hard responds by reeling off talking points before stating, “we know, we saw in social media afterwards….of the pro-Russian separatists bragging about shooting down an aircraft.”

“How is it exactly that you know it was fired from separatist held territory?” asks Lee, to which Harf responds that the evidence is based on “communications posted on YouTube by the Ukrainian government.”

“Is there anything other….than social media?” asks Lee. Harf alludes to an “assessment,” before again reeling off talking points (based on social media and YouTube videos) that blame separatist rebels.

“All you’re willing to present publicly that backs up your version of the story, which may well be the correct version of the story,” states Lee before being interrupted by Harf who sardonically retorts, “may well be.”

“I haven’t seen your evidence that shows that the missile was launched from rebel held territory,” continues Lee. “The only thing you’re willing to put out publicly is the social media accounts,” he adds, before citing other social media accounts that dispute the State Department’s version of events.

Harf asserts that any version of events that challenges the State Department’s version (based again on social media posts) is “illogical.” Lee states that the State Department’s evidence would not stand up to an international investigation.

“The Russians have said we’ve put out our radar images which show this Ukrainian plane near at least….why don’t you put out your…,” states Lee before again being interrupted by Harf.

Credit must be given to Matt Lee for doing his job and challenging Harf given that any questioning of the official narrative behind the MH17 shoot down, backed up as it is by the flimsiest of “evidence,” has been demonized as “Russian propaganda,” just as skepticism towards last year’s chemical weapons attack in Syria, which an MIT study later concluded was likely not launched by government forces, was derided as “Assad propaganda.”

Despite the State Department’s insistence that YouTube clips and social media posts can be considered as hard evidence, even the veracity of that material has attracted intense skepticism.

Harf’s mention of social media posts which show rebels “bragging” about bringing down the airliner is likely a reference to a post on the Russian version of Facebook shortly after MH17 was shot down by Ukrainian rebel commander Igor Strelkov. However, as Max Fisher documents, “There are real reasons to doubt that the message was genuine.”

First of all Strelkov’s page “is a fake made by fans,” according to rebels who spoke to Buzzfeed’s Max Seddon, so the words cannot even be attributed to the commander. In addition, the post makes reference to the shoot down not of a civilian airliner but to an Antonov AN-26 military transport plane.

“This casts a bit further doubt on the idea that people fired on the airplane and then posted on VK about it; if someone fired on the plane they likely would have noticed it was a large jet and not a small-ish prop plane,” writes Fisher.

Video of a Buk missile launcher apparently crossing the border back to Russia after the plane was shot down which was cited by Kiev and Washington has also since been debunked. The clip is actually shot in the Ukrainian of town of Krasnoarmeisk, which has been controlled by Kiev since May.

According to audio experts who conducted a forensic analysis, a YouTube video of a conversation between a separatist leader and a Russian military commander which purported to show rebels accepting responsibility for shooting down the airliner is in fact a fabrication.

While Russia has presented actual radar and satellite evidence to back up its contention that Ukrainian fighter jets were following the doomed airliner shortly before the incident, the sum of Kiev and Washington’s proof that separatists were to blame for the shoot down amounts to little more than highly questionable YouTube videos and social media posts.

Kiev has also failed to release air traffic control recordings, which were seized immediately by Ukrainian security forces, which could offer a crucial insight into what was happening in the skies immediately prior to the aircraft being shot down.

While any questioning of the narrative behind the incident has been dismissed by the establishment media as “Russian propaganda,” Russia is the only party to have actually presented anything which could be considered real evidence, whereas Washington and Kiev are still reliant on the sort of proof that would only satisfy the sloppiest of Internet conspiracy theorists.

US State Department “Confident” MH17 “Mistakenly” Downed By Separatists, Finds No Direct Link To Russia

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 07/22/2014 17:20 -0400

UPDATE: Having failed absymally with their earlier release of “information,” US intelligence officials have tried to give more information… sadly this does not include any actual evidence, just statements and confirmation of YouTube clips…

Via WaPo,

Senior U.S. intelligence officials cited sensors that traced the path of the missile, shrapnel markings on the downed aircraft, voiceprint analysis of separatists claiming credit for the strike, and a flood of photos and other data from social media sites.

The officials also for the first time identified a sprawling Russian military installation near the city of Rostov as the main conduit of Russian support to separatists in Ukraine, describing it as a hub of training and weapons that has expanded dramatically over the past month. The officials said that tanks, rocket launchers and other arms have continued to flow into Ukraine

Senior U.S. intelligence officials said they have ruled out the possibility that Ukrainian forces were responsible for the attack.

“That is not a plausible scenario,” said one senior U.S. official, who noted that American intelligence agencies have confirmed that Ukraine had no anti-aircraft missile system within range of the Malaysian flight at the time it was struck.

The official was one of three senior U.S. intelligence officials who spoke on condition of anonymity during a briefing arranged for reporters in Washington

“We are seeing a full-court press by the Russian government to instruct affiliated or friendly elements to manipulate the media environment to spread Russia’s version of the story,” the official said. “What this looks like again is a classic case of blaming the victims.”

The officials also declined to provide more details on the satellites and other sophisticated sensors that enabled them to trace the path of the missile, citing concerns about compromising secret U.S. capabilities.

The U.S. officials said they have confirmed the authenticity of some of those recordings, including one in which the self-proclaimed defense minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Igor Strelkov, claimed responsibility for shooting down a military transport plane at the time the Malaysian aircraft was struck.

Analysis comparing that audio clip to other confirmed recordings of Strelkov’s voice “confirmed these were authentic conversations,” one of the officials said.

“If you listen to Youtube you get that: ‘we’re finding civilians,’” a senior U.S. intelligence official said. Partly for that reason, the official said, “the most plausible explanation to me is [it was] a mistake.”

* * *
So once again no actual evidence… conjecture on ‘unknown’ recordings provided by Ukraine (ignoring for a moment the fact that the ones that have been released publicly have been proved false). Illustrations of a large Russian military base near the border of Ukraine… well is anyone surprised by that?

With a somewhat shocking lack of evidence, AP reports that US officials (on condition of anonymity) have stated that intelligence suggests Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was mistakenly shot down by separatists and can find no link to Russia.

However, the unnamed non-proof-providing officials believed Russia “created the conditions” for the downing of MH17. For now there is not even a YouTube clip to confirm this… as officials do not make the new technical evidence public…

As opposed to Russia’s detailed 30-minute press conference,

U.S. INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS DID NOT MAKE PUBLIC NEW TECHNICAL EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT ASSERTION THAT PLANE WAS DOWNED BY SA-11 MISSILE OR THAT MISSILE WAS FIRED BY SEPARATISTS
U.S. INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS SAY THEY BELIEVE PRO-RUSSIAN SEPARATISTS PROBABLY SHOT DOWN MALAYSIAN PASSENGER AIRLINER “BY MISTAKE”

As Bloomberg notes,

OFFICIALS DISCUSS MH17 INTELLIGENCE ON CONDITION OF ANONYMITY
U.S. CITES CLASSIFIED IMAGES MAKING CASE ON MH17 SHOOTDOWN
U.S. OFFICIALS CONFIDENT IN DETECTION OF JULY 17 MISSILE LAUNCH

AP reports,

Senior U.S. intelligence officials say they have no evidence of direct Russian government involvement in the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

They say the passenger jet was likely felled by an SA-11 surface-to-air missile fired by Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine and that Russia “created the conditions” for the downing by arming the separatists.

The officials briefed reporters Tuesday under ground rules that their names not be used in discussing intelligence related to last week’s air disaster, which killed 298 people.

They said they did not know if any Russians were present at the missile launch, and they wouldn’t say that the missile crew was trained in Russia.

A senior official said the most likely explanation was the plane was shot down by mistake.

So it seems like all we have is…

h/t @BarbaraStarrCNN

Which is right in the heart of separatist-held territory…

Satellite image shows spread of debris from Malaysia Airlines flight

* * *

So – to sum up – having told the world that they would release details surrounding intelligence about the MH17 disaster, US officials have pulled a “trust us” moment… blamed the “terrorists” and given themselves an out with Putin… all with absolutely no public proof whatsoever…

* * *

Which leaves us with one question – What happened between The White House and Putin (and perhaps Merkel) that ended with this lowering the tone of the debate?
