How will it end? With liberty lost and security not attained – unless you think living in a militarized police state to be the means to security.

It seems the recent rash of police shooting dogs is part of a desensitization program for law enforcement personnel. Dogs now…people next (already happening to too many people).

While I’m sure it is not going to end well, but a full police state is very expensive to maintain. Each of the armed drones before equipment runs about 150,000 in salaries and benefits. The police department in my city has shrunk from 135 personnel to 87. They don’t act like policeman of yesteryear, but like unionized thugs.

For a police state to be successful, our guns have to go.

Our right to own firearms will eventually be decided by the court, when the court decides we do not posses that right, that’s when a couple hundred million outlaws will be created.

Then we have bloodshed.

“After Connecticut enacted one of the most draconian gun-control regimes in America, official estimates suggest that the overwhelming majority of the citizens targeted by the latest assault on gun rights failed to comply. Indeed, analysts say it appears that most people largely ignored the new statute, which purports to ban numerous non-registered “assault” weapons and standard-capacity magazines. Now, despite resistance by the governor, state lawmakers are reportedly “scrambling” to come up with a possible amnesty plan allowing gun owners to register past the deadline.

According to news reports, some 50,000 newly mislabeled “assault weapons” and 40,000 so-called “high-capacity” magazines (10 or more rounds) targeted under the scheme were registered with state officials by the January 1 deadline. However, estimates and an official report by the Connecticut Office of Legislative Research issued before the new law suggest there are many, many more that went unregistered. Massive non-compliance with gun-registration schemes has been the norm in the United States and abroad, experts pointed out — and analysts say that is likely what happened in Connecticut.

Noting that the real number of “large-capacity” magazines in the state was unknown, the 2011 Connecticut Office of Legislative Research report said that it “could be in the tens of millions.” Estimates on the number of guns subject to the legislation, meanwhile, indicate that there may be as many as 500,000. Based on those figures, analysts suggested that perhaps less than 10 percent — possibly even less than five percent — of the items subject to the draconian new gun-control regime were registered with authorities by the deadline.

Citizens of Connecticut are effectively “nullifying” these anti-gun laws because they can’t count on the Supreme Court, Congress, or even their own state lawmakers to defend the Constitution.”

@Rise Up, “nullifying” by non-compliance only works until the day the law is enforced by militarized police forces.

That will be the true test of nullification.

Scrambling for amnesty screams of desperation. But in this world, this country, this time, I question if the fear and scrambling is because they are afraid of the results of forcing the compliance of the very law they created?

My gut is telling me that if a man has a toy, he has to play with it. And really, just what, exactly, do we think the militarization of our small town police forces was for?

This is it. This is the issue. It looks like Connecticut is going to drive the direction of gun rights in this country.

If the state repeals the law (bwaahahaa), and backs down, then I will be hopeful.

If these criminals, er’ nullification experts, truly wanted to keep their rights they would be actively pursuing recalls on ever POS politicians that signed up for this POS law. Am I the only one hearing the collective sound of crickets?

Wicked things this way come. I’ve got my eye on CT, only time will tell for sure.

So a SWAT team kicks a person’s house door down, the family pooch is frightened / shocked and does it’s job of barking at the strangers and I am sure in many cases the dogs ARE aggressive. What would a person expect when you kick down someone’s front door in ten seconds or less after announcing your presence? And the fucking COP FUCKS will shoot the dog without first giving the home owners the opportunity to restrain the BEAST ? If an asshole shot my dog I would go POSTAL on their ass, which I know before hand would go down badly for me for assaulting a COP FUCK – or I would spend the rest of my life figuring out a way / ways to ‘GET EVEN’ with the asshole.

Seriously, this abuse of power by the COP FUCKS must end !

The shorter version you found has now been removed as well. I wonder how long it will be before Stossel is “removed” from the living?
