BEST CONGRESS EVER!!!!

“The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.” – Tacitus

I read another article in the liberal rag Phila Inquirer that made me laugh. It explains the liberal mindset and how they want to control every aspect of our lives. The ridiculous article attempted to classify this current Congress as a complete failure because they have passed the least amount of laws in Congressional history.

These blithering idiots actually associate passing new laws to restrict our freedoms, liberties and rights as a measurement of success. The more laws they pass the more successful. That is the most asinine thought process conceivable, but that is the country we occupy. Do gooders and control freaks think they know what is best for the peasants. Controlling and corralling the sheep is of the utmost importance.

The sheeple have been convinced through social engineering, propaganda and conditioning that government must constantly be passing laws to protect us, solve some problem the government created with previous legislation, or create a new program to spend our tax dollars.

ALL HAIL THE DO NOTHING CONGRESS OF 2014!!!

BEST CONGRESS EVER!!!

Awesome. But they could still be better – far better. I’d like to see that right column in the negative numbers, for repeals of stupidity passed by prior sessions. If we can get to something like -500 per Congress, that would be progressive. And, ergo, progressive.

This a perhaps a little off topic, but it does have to do with Congress and the “Patriot Act”. Just giving everyone a heads up on your credit cards. We received a letter from Sears/Mastercard that we had to provide our physical address to them in order for them to conform to the Patriot Act. It is supposedly to confirm our “true identity”. What a crock of shit!!!! As if the govt. does not already know where we live!! Don’t pay your income tax and I GUARANTEE they will find you because they know EXACTLY where you live!
The letter stated that if we didn’t call within 14 days of the date of the letter then the account would be cancelled. So I called them and told them that I refused to give them that information just so they could hear from me why I was closing the account. I’m guessing that this is another “test” to see how many Sheeple will jump into the Ole Govt. Corral one more time. Ain’t happening! We don’t use it anyway and if we did we would pay it off in full when the bill came anyway, so it is no loss for us. So, forewarned is forearmed, so to speak. I’m guessing that we will eventually get the same letter from a couple of other credit card companies and the result will be the same.
RESIST! RESIST! RESIST!

I thought the same thing listening to progressive media and the president make excuses for the pen and the phone, “We’s gots ta cause dis congress dont be doin nuttin.”

Government gridlock is a beautiful thing.

“Can you by legislation add one farthing to the wealth of the country? You may, by legislation, in one evening, destroy the fruits and accumulations of a century of labour; but I defy you to show me how, by the legislation of this House, you can add one farthing to the wealth of the country.”

—Richard Cobden

Mission accomplished. When we the people voted in 2010, flipped the House by electing TEA Party, traditional values, small government Representatives, this is the result we hoped for.

We may not be able to completely stop the fundamental transformation of America, but we sure as hell can throw sand in the gears and push back their agenda.:)

Just read an article that talked about the fact that the number of small businesses being opened has plummeted.

They had a few “experts” conjecture as to why this is so. The majority conjectured that “bureaucracy” and “red-tape” were the primary issues. That established bushinesses had learned how to, more or less, manage the red tape, but start-ups simply did not have the required skills/personnel/money to do so. They also mentioned that the red-tape, being too difficult to navigate, would ensure the concentration of the economic system in larger and fewer businesses, to the extreme detriment of the economy. They further highlighted that the continued productivity gains expected from the information era had virtually stopped. They indicated quite possibly it has stopped because innovation is often driven by energetic start-ups, and those have decreased markedly.

I have been saying this around here for some time – it is the burden of red-tape and the tax-burden, that is killing small business, and no one in their right mind would open one in the current situation. It is far too hard, and young, modestly experienced folks simply do not have the skills to navigate the red-tape, despite all the other positive qualities and energy they may have.

Ask TE and a few others – red-tape and taxes, and the extreme problems associated with hiring people, will be the death of small business and start-ups. It is already upon us.

why. to read the subject, after 40 letters to my congressman only to receive bulk mail in return. as i have made note he has failed repeatedly and does not have the balls to go one one w/ me. if i am a nutcase i should be easy take, i doubt it, lets just find out. i wrote just today he does not have the gumption(balls) to embarress me in front of an audience. i can handle it. just 20 yes/no questions should be easy, for an honest man it would be. he is on ficnace committee, so we can assume he is much smarter than i, lawyer to boot and i am a dumb ass electrician who has not worked in five years funny how the last thing he wishes to do is go head to head, who knew serfs can talk and think/ i apologize once again for being both drunk and spouting off and not relating my comments to above article.

The best reason for breaking up the country is a reset of all laws. We have too many.

If you want to fix the schools, eliminate the telephone book sized set of laws that govern them, fund them solely the physical area they serve, ditch the school board, let teachers elect their own principal and run the school. It will turn around fast.
