Do you find it fascinating how the American corporate MSM has gone silent when it relates to the Ukraine and the fact the Ukrainians are losing? Do you find it fascinating that the American corporate MSM is not questioning why the U.S. and NATO are not releasing the black box recordings or controller tower transmissions regarding the shooting down of MH117?
The Ukrainians shot down that airliner. Obama knows it. Putin knows it. And NATO knows it. If the tapes had given any indication the rebels had downed that plane, it would be shouted from the mountaintops. Instead, the story has disappeared from the mainstream media. No questions asked by these captured faux journalists. I guess the truth doesn’t matter in a time of deceit.

What is, and what is not, happening in Novorussia
No, no really. Sorry. I don’t want to rain on anybody’s parade, but we have to carefully assess what is going on. I have listened very carefully to the reports from Novorussia and here is what I think has happened:
From guerrilla to combined-arms:
The Novorussian military command has announced that from purely guerilla-type of operations it has switched to “regular” (combined-arms) military operations. What does that mean? Well, in this context it means that instead of the hit-and-run kind of tactics I described yesterday, the Novorussians will go on the offensive in attacks which will include tanks and artillery support. Officially, the Novorussians have formed at least 2 tank battalions, several artillery battalions, and they have freed 7 towns (Agronomicheskoe, Novodvorskoe, Osykovo, Novokaternikova, Leninskoe, Stroitel and Novoazovsk) and surrounded six more (Blagodatnoe, Kuteinikovo, Voisovskii, Ulianovskoe, Uspenka, Alekseevskoe). The southern cauldron been fully reformed, and now includes 5000+ surrounded Ukies including the Aidar, Donbass and Shakhtersk National Guard battalions). Finally, the Ukie forces in Ilovaisk are in full retreat. This is all very good news. But this is not a strategic counter-offensive the Novorussian suceesfully take Novoazovsk and move towards Mariupol this will be far from over.
For one thing, while it appears that the Ukies were caught off guard, they are far from being down and out yet. Second, if the Novorussians really make a move along the seashore towards Mariupol, they will risk being surrounded the way the Ukies have been in the “southern cauldron”. Last, but not least, a couple of tank battalions, even supported by artillery, are not the kind of forces that will liberate all of Novorussia.
Don’t misunderstand me, what has happened is definitely very good news, but this is not the “counter-offensive to Kiev” some have been expecting. Still, if the Novorussians are truly successful this time, this could mean that the junta has reached the “breaking point” I have mentioned in my recent post.
Ukie Independence Day celebrations in Kiev and Donetsk
It was a bizzare day today. While the Nazis were celebrating their (now truly lost) “independence” in Kiev, the Novorussians were parading Ukie POW in the streets of Donetsk and, in a recreation of the German POW parade in Moscow in summer 1944, washing the street after the prisoners. That kind of parading is a violation of the Geneva Conventions, but against the massive and systematic violation of every concievable norm of civilized behavior by the Nazi junta since the coup which brought them to power, this is a rather modest violation on the Novorussian side. And the Ukies really deserved it. It was also a great PR move. Best of all, it really denied Poroshenko his much expected victory for the 24th. Instead of taking Luganks, his forces were pushed back, surrounded and paraded as POW. I can just about imagine his rage 🙂
A good day, but not V day (yet)
Bottom line: today has been a great day and I want to congratulate you all with all the good news, but let’s not assume that this is the beginning of the end and that the Ukie forces are finished. It is *possible* that the Ukies are near or at the breaking point, but at this point in time we don’t have the elements to conclude this.

Anti-govt forces ‘circle 1000s of Kiev troops, capture 2 tank battalions’ in E.Ukraine
Published time: August 24, 2014 09:41
After sustained defensive combat against Ukrainian troops in the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk during August, rebels are now reporting entrapping two large groups of Kiev troops and seizing military hardware in a counteroffensive.
The main headquarters of the DPR army has made a decision to stop operations in small groups and form full-bodied independent military units, the anti-Kiev forces say in a summary of their operations filed on Sunday.
They also say they are blocking a large “punitive force” near Alekseevskoe, Blagodatnoe, Voykovsky, Kuteinikovo, Ulyanovskoe and Uspenka.
Some 5,000 Kiev troops “with military hardware” including some 50 tanks, over 200 armored vehicles and 50 artillery rocket systems (including Grad) are trapped in the area, the DPR claims.
“DNR’s army has surrounded the staff headquarters of the 8th army corps, 28th and 30th mechanized brigades, 95th air mobile brigade of the army of Ukraine, and also punitive battalions ‘Aidar’, ‘Donbass’ and ‘Shakhtersk’,” the document claims.
However, Ukraine’s National Security Council (SNBO) denied the claims.
“Over the last three days not a single person has been surrounded. Ukrainian troops are securing their outposts and continuing their advance on areas occupied by terrorists,” SNBO spokesperson Andrey Lysenko said in a briefing on Sunday.
2,000 more Kiev troops, armed with 30 tanks, over 80 armored vehicles and more than 60 artillery pieces and mortars, have been engaged and are currently being eliminated near Olenovskoye, the anti-Kiev forces said.
According to the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, information about thousands troops being pinned down in the east of the country is not true. The council says “not a single serviceman” has been surrounded during the last three days and that troops continue to successfully attack “territory temporarily occupied by terrorists.”
Over the last two days, the self-defense forces say they have captured a lot of military hardware. This has reportedly helped them get 2 tank battalions, 3 multiple launcher rocket system batteries, 2 self-propelled howitzer batteries, 3 cannon battalions of various calibers and 8 mortar batteries.
All the new subunits have joined the newly formed fighting force, the rebels said.
Three infantry brigades will be organized from the existing detachments of self-defense militia, the document reads. A new volunteer regiment has also been formed consisting of miners from the Donbass region and soldiers and officers from the Ukrainian army, who have opted to side with the People’s Republic of Donetsk.
Moreover, the DNR army says it has destroyed four ‘Smerch’ multiple rocket launch systems, 12 ‘Grad’ multiple rocket launch systems, 17 tanks, 30 armored vehicles, 50 supply trucks, and killed over 150 enemy personnel.
“We have captured 7 military supply depots with large quantities of armaments, munitions, aids and appliances, food rations and property of the citizens expropriated by the National Guards during mopping-up operations, including all-terrain vehicles. From now on we intend to utterly annihilate enemy forces trapped near Olenovskoe and the communities of Kuteinikovo-Blagodatnoye-Uspenskoye,” HQ said.
The DPR army has also reportedly freed a number of communities such as Agronomicheskoe, Klenovka and Stroitel from the Ukrainian troops’ and National Guards’ “punitive detachments”.
Some of the seized hardware was paraded by anti-Kiev forces in Donetsk Sunday. However, it was not clear where the trophies came from. The equipment was paraded alongside 100 Ukrainian soldiers in what was called ‘the march of prisoners’ back in the summer of 1944, when Nazi prisoners were walked through central Moscow.
Sources say the leaders of the DPR planned for the event to coincide with Ukraine’s Independence Day. Kiev, meanwhile, held its own military parade in honor of the celebration, parading new equipment it said will be sent to the frontlines soon.
Ukrainian troops have vigorously pursued military operations in the country’s Donetsk and Lugansk regions, where a majority of the population is demanding federalization.
The Ukrainian Army had planned to capture the militant stronghold city of Donetsk by August 24 – Independence Day in Ukraine.
According to the UN’s “very conservative” estimates more than 2,000 people have died and over 5,000 have been wounded in the fighting in southeastern Ukraine since April, when the Kiev government launched its military offensive against rebel militias they refer to as “terrorists.”

Actually, I find it totally disgusting.
My apologies for a re-post but, here’s what I posted in the “Back to school thread” …. for those who may have missed it.
================================================================
You may be wondering why SUDDENLY all news about flight MH17 has ceased.
Well …. it’s against the law!! And since the USA! is a law-abiding nation, well, we really have no other choice. Really, our Gooberment wants to tell you the truf … they just can’t.
=========
“In the framework of the 4-country agreement signed on 8 August between Ukraine, the Netherlands, Belgium and Australia, information on the progress and results of the investigation of the disaster will remain classified.
This was confirmed at a briefing in Kiev under the auspices of the office of the Prosecutor General Yuri Boychenko. In his words, the results of the investigation will be published once completed only if a consensus agreement of all parties that have signed the agreement prevails.”
=========
What are the chances that ALL FOUR countries will “agree” to release information — considering that one of them are the Nazi Ukies? Answer: A Big Fuckin Zero. We will never know … or maybe we will know, 30 years from now.
That’s the beauty of Democracy … as opposed to those evil Commie bastards. At least we pass laws!!
Can’t get Ukraine into NATO? No problem!! We’ll just pass a law that gives the Nazi Ukies NATO-like status. If Russia gets too involved in Ukraine … we can come to Ukraine’s defense. Woo hoo! How fuckin convenient.
One day owning gold is legal. The next day it’s not … with the stroke of a pen. Of course, that can NEVER happen again to some here. Nosiree!
That’s one of the big problems with prepping …. NOT that there’s anything wrong with that. The problem is that too many assumptions are made. I mean, for Crissakes, “they” can make storing water illegal … as some states already have that law on the books.
Bottom line: You are NEVER safe in a democracy.
Bankrupt Ukraine Is Fighting Failing Civil War With US/European Taxpayer Dollars
by Mike Mish Shedlock • August 25, 2014
IMF to Fund Ukraine Wars?
Ukraine is bankrupt. It accepted an $18 Billion IMF Bailout in March, allegedly with strict conditions.
Do those conditions allow war funding?
I have to ask because Ukraine’s President Warns of ‘Constant Military Threat’ along with more military spending and a military parade.
Ukraine’s pro-western president announced $3bn in additional defence spending on Sunday as he warned the war-torn country faced a “constant military threat” for the foreseeable future.
Petro Poroshenko flexed his might by holding a military parade during commemorations of the former Soviet republic’s 23rd year of independence.
Things are going so well for Ukraine’s military that it needs to come up with $3 billion when it is flat broke.
Ukraine Conflict Draining Economy, Hampering Reforms
Ukraine’ prime minister Arseny Yatseniuk noted last Wednesday that Ukraine Conflict Draining Economy, Hampering Reforms.
Ukraine’s conflict with separatist rebels is draining the economy by the day and hampering efforts to implement reforms as required by an IMF bailout programme, Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk said on Wednesday.
According to the terms of a $17 billion International Monetary Fund loan package, Ukraine must implement set reforms, but the country, which is virtually bankrupt and running wide external deficits, has had to divert substantial funds in its fight to contain the pro-Russia insurgency.
The economy contracted by 4.7 percent in the second quarter compared with the same period last year. With industrial output plummeting 12 percent in July, the economic outlook for the third quarter is not promising.
In June, Yatseniuk asked the IMF, which decides on the disbursement of the second tranche of $1.4 billion on Aug 29., to take into account the extra financial burden of fighting the insurgency.
Military Spending Math
Ukraine wants to spend $3 billion out of a $1.4 billion tranche. How exactly does that work?
While pondering that question, please note that Ukraine’s currency plunged to a fresh new low today.
7,000 Trapped Ukrainian Forces
On Sunday, I reported Rebels Launch Counteroffensive: 4,000 Ukrainian Forces Trapped. That may have been an understatement.
Please consider a translation from Komsomolskaia Pravda “Donetsk On the Offensive” by Jacob Dreizin, a US citizen who speaks Russian and reads Ukrainian.
Meanwhile, the intensiveness of the Ukrainian forces’ advance had somewhat diminished. And immediately, the militia went over to a counterattack. Large units of the National Guard got caught. Within the encirclement are 8th Army Corps headquarters, the 28th and 30th Mechanized Brigades, as well as the 95th Airmobile Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces. And with them, the Aidar, Donbass, and Shakhtersk [Ukrainian volunteer militia] battalions. All in all, around 5000 men and more than 300 pieces of equipment, including tanks, “Grad” and “Uragan” launchers are trapped.
Another roughly 2000 National Guardsmen from Azov and Dnepr (battalions) have found themselves boxed up in the vicinity of Olenovskoe.
Equipment seized during the counterattack [perhaps in reference to the past few weeks of successful operations] includes 2 tank battalions, 3 MLRS batteries, 2 self-propelled howitzer batteries, 3 towed artillery batteries, and 8 mortar batteries.
The militia’s strategic aim is an exit to the Sea of Azov, after which the blockade of the Donetsk Peoples’ Republic will be definitively lifted. The preparation for this “maritime campaign” was going on for a long time. Even when Slaviansk was still holding out, militia recon teams were destroying border posts on the shore.
Which Side is In Trouble?
If these reports are accurate, not only are the western media reports of “rebels on the run” blatantly inaccurate, but rather it is the Ukrainian forces that are in serious trouble.
By the way, you may wish to click on the previous link to see shelling of hospitals and civilian areas by Ukrainian forces.
This is not how you win the hearts and minds of the citizens of Donetsk.
March to the Sea
Finally, please consider a map of the area around the Sea of Azov.
“The Sea of Azov, a northern extension of the Black Sea, is located on the southern coastlines of Russia and Ukraine. Though somewhat difficult to navigate because of its shallowness, significant levels of freight and passenger traffic do flow through the port cities of Berdyans’k, Mariupol, Taganrog and Yeysk.”
If the rebels can capture and maintain a corridor between Donetsk and Mariupol, this war is not ending any time soon.
Let me ask again: Which side is in trouble? If the above reports are even close to being accurate, the answer is Ukraine.

I don’t think it was a wise move from Kiev’s pussies to go fuck with the people of Dombass.
people of Dombass are the very same that fought germans in large number in Stalingrad,
during Chenobil disaster, it’s 300 coal diggers from Dombass that sacrified voluntarily and dug under the melting reactor without protection to pour a 18ft concrete shield (that prevented the core to reach an underground lake, and the following explosion). the same guys that collected uranium debris with bare hands on the roof of the plant.
they are the cousins of Chuck Norris. they have tunsgten balls
the ukies will have their asses handed to them
Wow, those are some damn hefty losses by Nazi Ukies. Lovely.
The problem is that the Nazi Ukies have a seeming endless supply of cannon fodder. I believe I read (via the Saker) that the Nazi Ukies have extended forced conscription all the way to men 60 years old. Good lord!
On the other hand, that might very well be the reason the Nazi Ukies are suffereing such massive losses. They have NO HEART / NO MOTIVATION in this fight. And probably no real experience.
The Nazi Ukies are already having problems with re-supply …. things like, you know, food and bullets. Winter is just a couple months away. It will soon get a LOT worse for them.

Here We Go Again: Ukraine Claims It Destroyed Two Tanks That Entered From Russia
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/25/2014 10:32 -0400
It’s Monday; which means its time to ramp up the war rhetoric once again as another weekend goes by without ‘escalation’. Ukraine’s military spokesman Lysenko, or as he is better known as Lie-senko for those who actually ask for some evidence of anything that he claims, says, suggests or otherwise talks about, is reporting, via Bloomberg, that:
UKRAINE SAYS TWO TANKS THAT ENTERED FROM RUSSIA WERE DESTROYED
LYSENKO SAYS UKRAINE CAPTURED CREW MEMBERS OF DESTROYED TANKS
UKRAINE SEIZED SOME VEHICLES THAT ENTERED FROM RUSSIA: LYSENKO
LYSENKO SAYS COLUMN OF REBEL VEHICLES DESTROYED IN KRASNODON
LYSENKO: UKRAINE INFLICTED SEVERE LOSSES ON REBELS IN KRASNODON
One wonders if the captured Russian crew had Langley, VA crew cuts? Unfortunately no one had their iPhone or camera-on-a-sticks to record the action as “proof.” but we are sure that won’t matter. Cure NATO’s comments. Now, how will the market react to this ‘proven invasion’? Actually scratch that: more escalation is simply a catalyst for even more pent-up de-escalation in the future…
“Now, how will the market react to this ‘proven invasion’?” ——– article above
Military tank stocks will go up 163%
The Nazi Ukies can even defeat a rag-tag force in Eastern Ukraine ….. yet, they can destroy Russian tanks and take Russian soldiers as prisoners. Yeeeeah, riiiight. “Bullshit lies for $1,000, Alex!”
The MSM’s behavior regarding MH17 is disgraceful. Is there not one talking head from a major media outlet willing to ask a probing question or two? Such as:
1. Why was MH17 diverted over a known war zone and instructed to fly below its planned altitude?
2. Where are the air traffic control tapes of the incident?
3. Haven’t the ATC personnel been interviewed? Where are the transcripts?
4. What of the rumors of multiple bullet holes in the wreckage? This would be evidence of a deliberate mass murder, not an accidental missile launch.
If this isn’t proof of media complicity with government crimes, what is? If I were the loved one of one of the 298 victims of this false flag event, I’d be livid.
Admin’s above video brought a big smile to my face.
I gotta hand it to the Novo Ukies. They are showing TREMENDOUS restraint by merely marching in the streets those who wished to kill them …. instead of beating the living fucking shit out of them (which is probably what I would want to do).
Chuck’s cousins, I told you.
note that they let a wife/MILF lead the prisoners march with a bayonet.
better being shot
Looks like Putin outmaneuvered Odumbass again. No war here for USA. The Germans and NATO aren`t going to get involved. Russia is not a small defenseless victim. Bullies rarely pick a hard target.

Ukraine President Dissolves Parliament, Announces It On Twitter
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/25/2014 15:04 -0400
Last week we were intrigued when the Ukraine Central Bank announced its FX market intervention plans not via ‘trader sources” or Bloomberg but through its Facebook account (which later failed as the Hryvnia pushed on to record lows). Today, we hear perhaps even more important news – that Ukraine President Poroshenko has dissolved parliament. This was not entirely surprising news given recent political breakdowns but his chosen medium to disseminate this crucial (and potentiall detsabilizing) news… his Twitter account.
The crucial Twitter account to follow for all Ukrainians…
Bloomberg notes:
*UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT POROSHENKO DISSOLVES PARLIAMENT
*UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT POROSHENKO CALLS ELECTIONS FOR OCT. 26
You have to wonder about those in charge in Kiev. They keep overextending supply lines in same way as the Germans in WW2 then end up trapped in Kessel to be wiped out once oil and food runs out. Anyway listening to Pravda er MSM they are only days from victory. Hitler would be proud. I’m picturing Porkyshenko in his bunker pouring over maps as we speak moving long annihilated divisions on his maps. If people weren’t getting killed it would be funny.
It sucks being the Nazi’s.
Stuck “Merkel is Oreo’s white bitch tool. She willingly licks his balls.” Agreed, but I bet she is on the way out. Overthecilff is right IMHO, the Germans want nothing to do with that terrain, can you imagine selling that shit to them? Merk doesent have the balls or the charm. If NATO tries and force them, which it probably already tried, it runs the risk of losing a plank member, hastening our descent into flaccid irrelevance.
I must admit I was wrong. I believed the rebels shot down the plane, and I argued that point, but it looks like I was totally wrong. Why else would the West refuse to make this a transparent process? I thought the truth would come out once the tapes were analyzed, but nothing of the sort has happened. My only conclusion is the Saker is right, the West has too much to lose if the truth comes out and the Ukrainians did it.
My wife and her family are from Eastern Europe. She hates Russia and supports the Ukrainians at all costs. I like the Ukraine, too, but that doesn’t blind me to their leadership. I’ve tried to prove to her over and over the Maidan was staged, the new govt is hard-core right wing, and their troops are hard-core racist fanatics in the traditions of the rebellious anti-Russian Western Ukrainians, who the Soviets fought against for an additional 10-15 years AFTER WWII.
Somehow, she just doesn’t get it. It’s all pro-Russian propaganda to her, even when I try to show her the Vickie Nuland phone calls. She just refuses to live in a world where the Ukrainians might not be the good guys (her family once lived in the Ukraine, prior to de-Kulakization). It’s kind of crazy, because the evidence is right there for anyone to see, like the Svoboda Party (formerly the Social National Party) using an SS rune for their party symbol. Or the SS rune used on the flags of the irregular mercenary forces funded by the Interior Ministry. I don’t know what it will take to get her to see the truth. When I try to explain it, she just accuses me of saying Russia can do no wrong, Putin is an angel, etc. It’s silly.
