It’s perfectly clear to me. Israel hates Assad because he is buddies with Iran and Israel hates Iran because they support Hizbollah, which is the only thing preventing them from occupying southern Lebanon and stealing water from the Litani river. The US may feel compelled to combat ISIS, the creature it created, but it can only do that within the context of being Israel’s personal bitch. Capisce?

Bullshit. If Israel coveted the Litani River, it would have taken it decades ago, and it would be Israeli territory today. Along with the Golan Heights and the West Bank.
It had 3, count ’em, 3 pretexts to do so. 1967, 1973, and the invasion and occupation of L.ebanon. It didn’t happen. Please explain why not.

I don’t think that Israel has the military to occupy yet another nation. Bulldozing and building over what remains of the largely unarmed Palestinian state, keeps them pretty busy.
That said, they don’t need to occupy an area to destroy it from afar.

Fleet, Hampshire, UK is right in the middle of the “Stockbroker Belt”. LOTS of VERY SERIOUS money there, and Haslemere (the next main-line stop south from Guildford) has the interesting position of the UK Railway Station that sells the most 1st Class tickets annually.
