That is an interesting photograph and I am sure that in another time, in another place there will be discussions about what exactly occurred during this period of history. I don’t think that it will ever be understood completely, but my best guess is that the human species- based on it’s capacity for thoughts and feelings- somehow got out in front of it’s physical existence. Like when someone runs so fast that they lose their balance and topple over.

I have been to San Francisco a few times. All it will take is another big earthquake and SF will be no more.
I’m expecting the first Joint Chief of Staff transgenderite soon. My poor husband says the increasing numbers of homosexual students in the hallways of the training squadron where he teaches young, ahem, persons off various genders how to operate and repair the computer system on the AWACS plane is beginning to remind him more of a circus freak show than a military training squadron.
Thank goodness half of every Friday is devoted to briefings and training to help homophobes like my husband learn how to “Be part of the solution, not the problem.” It has taught him to identify lesbians, transgender males, and feminized males without throwing up as he walks by. San Francisco is one of the most earthquake proof cities in the world, with the exception of Chinatown. Aside from the gay blade issues, it is a nice place to visit, and spend a few days.

@bambam, a lot of these people are, on some level, trying to be the “most special” person around (somewhat like people who claim they have some exotic chronic disease, when they actually have a severe case of whineness + laziness). So the XX lesbians often resent transwoman lesbians (WTF that is), feminists will complain about white males and then give a free pass to black muslims who are about 8 trillion times more biased in the ways that the feminists complain about, blacks will say that asian-pacific islanders don’t know discrimination, etc. etc.
