SUMMERVILLE, SC — Fans were startled by the heavy presence of police officers, drone surveillance, and warrantless checkpoints upon entry at the local high school football game.

The prison-like security at Summerville High School was called “the reality of the world we live in today.” As students and fans filed into the homecoming football game on Friday, October 24th, 2014, they were forced to place their belongings in a bin for police examination, then walk through a metal detector. Stadium-goers were restricted from bringing certain items into the stands.

“It is very scary to come here tonight,” said Summerville resident said Ann Almers to WCIV. “It’s such a change, I’ve been coming to the stadium for so many years. Now we have armed guards. I couldn’t carry my purse, I forgot my phone. I’m a little out of sorts.”

Fans also were quick to notice the conspicuous presence of police officers mixed among the crowd and perched on the rooftops, surveillance drones whirring overhead, and even SWAT team members ready for action.

The security bonanza was imposed because school district officials had allegedly been tipped off that rival gangs might fight at the game, WCIV reported. No incidents of violence were reported.

The event might have been the site of the most elaborate and intrusive level of security employed at any high school sports event to date. With a precedent set, more schools are sure to follow suit with drone surveillance and police checkpoints.

People need to get away from Washington DC. Yet not in CA. I still wonder about people’s desire to live in large city’s.

Hope

Soooo… these extreme measures were put in place because of an anonymous tip that ” rival gangs might fight at the game”.

Ah yes, that old reliable standby, the anonymous tip.

Here’s a thought: Why don’t we let all the parents at the game come heavily armed and deal with any gangbangers in a most definitive way?

At any given HS football game in Texas, there are tons of people with concealed firearms at games and we don’t have any kind of gangbanger problem.

All this police does is create a huge mass of UNARMED people (=victims).

As well as conditioning people to always rely on the State to protect you.

Say, you don’t think that was THE PLAN, do you??

“They’re taking all these precautions. I feel safer.” Indoctrination complete. Sadly these kids have no clue that their rights have been so fully usurped. To think this is anything but invasive and abusive is ludicrous. Between the media and the schools kids like this are doomed, not that their parents appear to be much help.
Bob.

We can expect to see more of this as the empire contracts inwards. The very last group of people to experience the crimes of the NAZI’s were the German people themselves. After all, why bleed the taxpayer dry to send your paramilitaries to the far flung corners of the world when you can use them on each and every street corner right here at home.

Anyone that isn’t thinking along the lines of Fight or Flight just isn’t thinking. This is real and it is here.

Well this is in my backyard . We recently had a kid at the Sertoma Classic toss a gun onto the field during the game. Shortly there after we’ve had several gang related murders/shootings take place after social events. This heightened the awareness of the police. I guess it’s a damned if you do,damed if you don’t deal .

I carry so I have little worry about the local feral vermin .

Hey BUCKHED,

Perhaps you can clarify something…

The “anonymous tip” that “rival gangs” were going to fight at the high school game sparked this bullshit… perhaps you can enlighten us as to who the “rival gangs” could possibly be?

Amish vs. Mennonites? Maybe the local Catholic school wanted to throw down with the Episcopalians across town?

Because just from the vagueness of this article, I can make a couple guesses that are probably pretty close to the truth… just wanted a local to give some on the ground observations…

The noose tightens !!!!

In or around 1938 the NAZI would stand in front of stores owned by Jews ‘in protest’ of the enterprise. They would travel in small groups and heckle Jews. By 1942 they were shooting and gassing Jews.

What the fuck is going on here in the USA ? All of this shit can only lead to no good !

@Billy…can’t answer for Buckhead to your question “perhaps you can enlighten us as to who the “rival gangs” could possibly be?”, but here in Northern Virginia we have one of the largest concentations of MS13. Not many killings, however.

“In the Los Angeles area, there are said to be at least 10,000 MS13 members with 95 percent of the homicide arrest warrants against them still outstanding. In Northern Virginia there are 3,500 MS13 members reported by the police, with a concentration of 1,500 in Fairfax County alone. Research for this report has established significantly large MS13 gang concentrations in 15 states and some Canadian cities.

“A Fairfax County police official said of MS13, “We know it is a losing battle. When we run them out of here, we just move them to another location. We just contain what we have. We know we can’t get rid of them.”

@RISE UP

Off topic but what are your thoughts about that wierd 100 plus convoy of semi trucks with the trooper escorts in VA in the last few days……forget what day exactly. VERY STRANGE. Troopers shut down on and off ramps for the convoy to come through. What kind of cargo would require 100 plus tractor trailers? Ebola related?

I wonder how upset the cop’s are when people gun down MS13 members? I never think much about gangs. We just have punks who dress the with the thug look. The i shit my pants look of low hanging pants or shorts is always good for a laugh.

If you enter any place that has an armed guard or police officer, that’s an indication the place has been judged to be so unsafe, you’re putting yourself at risk by entering. Do not enter. Period.

The local media never did give much info on the gang or gangs. The local Po-Po have a history of dog and pony shows at the High Schools . They’ve been on the National Media for dog sniffing/gun drawn raid at Goose Creek High .

I haven’t attended a local public high school game in years. Too many hooligans. I do go to the local private school to watch the kids play. All of the kids are well mannered there and I don’t have to worry about gangs or guns .

@ yahsure

I would have no problems at all if, say, during a SHTF event, locals who have been at the mercy of these MS13 pieces of dogshit (and La Eme, the Zetas, Latin Kings, etc) went out of their way to hunt them down and hang them from the nearest handy lightpole… or just stood them up against the nearest brick wall and shot them.

@ Rise,

Yeah, kinda figured it would be them, or something like them… if there is ever a Failure of Civility, you’ll be seeing those assholes. If I lived in the area, I would get a map and mark where their strongholds are, where their territory begins and ends…

@ Bucky

Thanks…
