When I first saw this on HBO back in the day (2000 – 2001) I was not awake yet and didn’t understand why he did a “political rant” that wasn’t funny. Today I realize that Carlin hit the bullseye! he was a great observer, analyzer and critical thinker. Most see this skit as a “give it to the man” speech and moved on rather than a warning. When the final curtain call comes and the one thing Carlin missed will be the routing of the 401(k)s that will be transferred to W.st and the wealthy.
Truth.
Some get it, most don’t.
