TRUST IS WANING

I’d love to meet the 6% of people trust Congress more and the 13% who trust Obama more than they did a few years ago. Why do almost a third of Americans have more trust in a military that hasn’t achieved any success in the last 14 years?

Which institutions do Americans trust least in 2014? According to the Harris Poll, trust in Congress is waning – 72 percent of American adults reported a decline in trust over the past few years. The White House has also experienced a major deterioration in trust with 53 percent of people reporting that they trust it less than before.

Considering the magnitude of the financial crisis and property slump, it comes as little surprise that trust levels in financial institutions have also plummeted. Mortgage lenders have done especially badly in the trust stakes, along with banks. This stems from personal experience coupled with quality, service and poor customer care, according to the Harris Poll.

As a non partisan, I am realizing that the so called “liberals” are really totalitarians and, the so called “conservatives” are totalitarians too.

I base this on the results of their “solutions” to problems (most of which are created by previous totalitarian “solutions”).

Here is my observation: the L’s listen to the big L choir echo chamber, and the C’s listen to the big C choir echo chamber.

And the funny thing I am realizing, is that the L’s and C’s can’t even agree on “facts”. The L’s have their facts, and the C’s have theirs. Never the twain shall meet. Think global warming and obombya care as examples.

There is also an assault on logic and rationality.
If you have a business, you did not build that. Corporations and businesses do not create jobs. 2 + 2 = 5 or whatever you want.

The L’s & C’s can’t even agree on objective facts, what hope do we have?

The demons and the repugnants dominate and control the political process. No one else allowed in.

It becomes a “looter take all” criminal game. To score, you need to win the election, and the spoils are yours.

Admin – those 6% did not understand the question.

And the 31% that trust small business more. Puh-lease. My experience with small business is considerable. Vast, in fact. and as a rule, there are vastly more small businesses that are un-trustworthy than those that are.

Why? Because small business is under extreme financial pressure from the day they start-up until the day they die. And financial pressure leads owners to lie, steal, cheat, mis-lead: “I will not pay in my SS obligations this month because cash is a bit tight. I will catch up next month.” “Sure, I will take the deposit and deliver the goods next week!” “Hell yes, my credit is good. I always pay on time!”

Small businesses fail in prodigious numbers – over ninety-five percent fail in the first five years. They are not bastions of trust-worthiness. Caveat emptor when dealing with small business.

Long-term small businesses are frequently different – those tend to indicate owners of high values and standards. They generally would not be in business for very long without those qualities.

And major corporations cannot be trusted at all – they are what they are.
