The normal temperature in Philly on this date is 56 degrees. It’s currently 23 degrees, going to a high of 29 degrees. The low tonight will be 18 degrees. I froze my balls off walking to my office this morning. When oh when will I ever reap the benefits of global warming? Could one of you global warming numbskulls please let me know when Philly winters will become warmer?

It routinely gets below freezing in HI.
It’s been down right nippley around here. It was down to 7 above day before yesterday and currently it’s 12. I just came in from laying on the frozen Earth watching the Leonid Meteor Shower.
If we get to our projected low tonight, it will break a record last set in 1903! Fuckin’ cold!

I remember a tell all secret service show on Coast to Coast years ago. The ex secret Service guy said Gore talked to them like they were pure swill. For more than 10 years the global warming camp have been warning we will experience more extreme weather events – i.e. more of them and they will be more extreme when they happen. That means worse droughts, worse storms, hotter heatwaves, colder freezing spells, bigger floods, etc. Global warming means a small rise in the AVERAGE GLOBAL temperature, but that translates into a lot more weather energy – in all its forms – hot and cold.
Ask yourself whether we are seeing more extreme events and then decide. For me the jury is still out, but looking at a relatively small cold weather event as proof there is no global warming is a bit like watching the S&P continuing ever upwards and thinking there are no problems in the economy.

Climate isn’t weather. There, fixed it for ‘ya!
There is no correlation between carbon dioxide levels and the Earth’s temperature. There is a 50 year stretch where CO2 levels and temperature both rose in a linear fashion, however there has been a 17 year pause in global temperature gains, whereas CO2 release continues at breakneck speeds.
I believe the Earth seems to be entering a warm phase (not a cold one), however I’m not buying that carbon dioxide is a culprit.
Climate and environmental concerns have completely lost all scientific credibility these past 20 years and have basically become cults.
I think Al Gore is picturing his future in Hell and is so deluded that he believes changing things on Earth will change the other.

As previously reported, the anticipated Polar Vortex 2.0 has struck, pushing temperatures in all 50 states to below freezing, while heavy snow prompted a state of emergency in western New York and contributed to the deaths of four people. According to Reuters, it was the coldest November morning across the country since 1976, according to Weather Bell Analytics, a meteorologist consulting firm. It remains to be seen how many GDP percentage points were wiped out as a result, unless of course, this time it will be different from last winter. Typically, such cold is not seen until late December through February.
But it was the situation in upstate New York, especially around Buffalo and parts of Erie County, where things got most dire and where 60 inches (1.5 m) of snow accumulated, with more falling, said Steven Welch of the National Weather Service near Buffalo. Snow fell at a rate of up to five inches (13 cm) an hour and some areas approached the U.S. record for 24-hour snowfall totals of 76 inches, or over 6 feet, the NWS said.

Hey admin, that top picture is exactly what our front door looked like when we opened it during the late 70’s in MT. Only difference is that we had a screen door that opened out so us kids had to punch the screen out and tunnel out of the house. Quite often there were no cars visible at all once you got outside. They were all buried.
Slight tangent, I miss tunneling in the snow.
