Central bankers always seem worried about deflation. The cost of Thanksgiving dinner is about the same as last year. Is it a bad thing that your costs didn’t go up? If we hadn’t experienced Federal Reserve created inflation over the last 18 years the cost of your Thanksgiving dinner would be about $21. But thank Greenspan, Bernanke and Yellen for the increase to $50. Everyone give thanks to central bankers for costs more than doubling in the last 18 years.
We do the big family thing, 38 will be there tomorrow. I bought the meat, 20# whole turkey, 8# turkey breast and a 10# spiral ham.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Whole frozen Thanksgiving turkey prices are expected to decline 7.5% from last year’s level, when they jumped 15%, according to IHS Global Insight. IHS chief economist Chris Christopher said many grocers are cutting turkey prices to lure shoppers to buy the extra fixings.

Sounds like a great time. What time should I be over?
38 people? Maybe I am reading this wrong, a 20 lb turkey a 8 lb turkey breast and a 10 lb ham for 38 people? I guess I come from a family of fat asses, cause that would feed maybe 10 people in my family….
Also, I got a 25 lbs butterball for .98 cents a pound. 142 seems kinda high, even factoring in the non existence inflation. However, I could be reading the numbers wrong..
We ain’t seen nothing yet. Just wait till the Trillions make their appearance.
