QUOTES OF THE DAY

“This empire, unlike any other in the history of the world, has been built primarily through economic manipulation, through cheating, through fraud, through seducing people into our way of life, through the economic hit men. I was very much a part of that.”

John Perkins

“The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.”

Philip K. Dick

“All through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it–always.”

Mohandas K. Gandhi

This is on my mind lately. First we witnessed the change from Global warming to Climate Change, freeing the manipulators of any need for scientific accuracy.
Now more disturbing. No longer are we to fear Terrorist or Terrorism, but rather Extremist and Extremism. Again, freeing the manipulators from any connection to definition, however amorphous it was.
Have no illusion this website and its contributors are extremist, especially in the opinion of the arbiters of the definition.

I’ve spent the majority of my life as a play-by-the-rules, cooperative person. I’m proud to have finally become an extremist. I never thought I’d see the day. And not only am I extreme, according to that list I read, I’m an extremist in at least 20 different ways. Impressive.
