MIDDLE EAST WARS OF CHOICE HAVE COST YOU $1.7 TRILLION – SO FAR

What a fantastic return on our investment. We’ve pissed away $1.7 trillion fighting wars that have succeeded in creating more terrorists than existed in 2001 in countries that didn’t have terrorists. And it only cost 7,000 American lives, 50,000 American wounded, and countless thousands mentally damaged, along with the hundreds of thousands of killed and wounded civilians. But they are brown skinned, so no biggie. Who benefited and continues to benefit? The military industrial complex arms dealers and the politicians they bribe to keep the wars coming. They hate us for our democracy and freedom. Right?

Expensive wars have become an American tradition and the global “War on Terror” is proving no exception. The cost of “War on Terror” operations including both Afghanistan and Iraq reached $1.6 trillion by FY2014, according to data compiled by the Mercatus Center citing the Congressional Research Service. Taking war funding approved by Congress for FY2015 into account, the total reaches $1.7 trillion.

Of that, the vast majority, $1.562 trillion, has been allocated to the Department of Defense. Compared to past wars, U.S. military operations since 9/11 have proven extremely expensive. Putting the cost of the “War on Terror” into perspective, the Vietnam War is estimated to have cost $686 billion when adjusted for inflation.

Seems pretty clear that the terrorists won.

Except the “terrorists” are on a the CIA’s payroll, so I guess that means WE won, right?

Ashton Carter will be the new Secretary Of War. The USA!USA!USA war policy / war mongering / war spending is GUARANTEED to continue, and likely accelerate

— authored an article in the CFR ‘Foreign Affairs’ magazine titled ”Catastrophic Terrorism” in which he advocates a transformation of the U.S. government and the way Americans live

— Yet another POS Ivy Leaguer … and Goldman Sachs guy

—- He really really REALLY luuuves da Joos

— Practically begged Bush to preemptively strike North Korea

— Just hinted that he’ll approve GROUND TROOPS to fight ISIS

— Just said he is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT in favor of sending whatever “defensive” military hardware Ukraine needs to fight the rebels

And the descent down the rabbit hole accelerates.

One Mo Time!

The wars in the Middle East are fought to keep the PetroDollar in place.

Two years later, in an effort to maintain global demand for U.S. dollars, another system was created called the petrodollar system. In 1973, a deal was struck between Saudi Arabia and the United States in which every barrel of oil purchased from the Saudis would be denominated in U.S. dollars. Under this new arrangement, any country that sought to purchase oil from Saudi Arabia would be required to first exchange their own national currency for U.S. dollars. In exchange for Saudi Arabia’s willingness to denominate their oil sales exclusively in U.S. dollars, the United States offered weapons and protection of their oil fields from neighboring nations, including Israel.

By 1975, all of the OPEC nations had agreed to price their own oil supplies exclusively in U.S. dollars in exchange for weapons and military protection.

This petrodollar system, or more simply known as an “oil for dollars” system, created an immediate artificial demand for U.S. dollars around the globe. And of course, as global oil demand increased, so did the demand for U.S. dollars.
http://ftmdaily.com/preparing-for-the-collapse-of-the-petrodollar-system/

So the question is —> What will be the results of the collapse of the petrodollar system?

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that America has a vested interest in maintaining the petrodollar system. And, if you are an American citizen, so do you.

So… What Would Happen If The Petrodollar System Ended Tomorrow

Allow me to briefly explain the impact that a sudden loss of the petrodollar system would have upon the United States of America.
Foreign nations would begin sending a flood of U.S. dollars back to the United States in exchange for the new currency needed for oil.
The Federal Reserve would lose their ability to print more dollars to solve America’s economic problems.
The Treasury Secretary and the Federal Reserve Chairman would meet to determine the best course of action.
That action would involve an immediate and dramatic increase in interest rates to reduce America’s money supply.
Hyperinflation would ensue temporarily while the interest rates took time to take full effect.
All oil-related prices, including gas prices, would reach outrageous levels.
Washington would soon realize that the total amount of money in the system would have to be dramatically slashed even further, leading to an even higher increase in interest rates.
The clueless American public would demand answers. Those on the left would blame the right. The right would blame the left. And both political parties would seek to blame the Federal Reserve.
People with adjustable rate debts would be crushed and massive layoffs would occur as businesses would be suffering from the high interest rates.
Asset prices across the board would plummet in value.
Amid the financial carnage, an economic recovery eventually would begin to take place. But this new American economy would be tremendously smaller due to a drastically reduced money supply.
This brief scenario is far from exhaustive and is probably very incomplete. But I provide it to help you understand the great economic damage that you and I, and our nation in general, would sustain if the petrodollar system were to collapse suddenly.

Disclaimer, I’am not a fan of the Middle East wars. I’am also prepared for the collapse of the petrodollar system. But let me warn you, when we lose the ability to print money , eg. Petrodollar collapse, all hell will break lose in this country. Bring it on!!!

So if one reads what I have posted you will come to the conclusion that an artificial demand has been created to make the US Dollar the world Reserve currency, of which, has afforded us a higher standard of living, albeit based on nothing but air.

It is very foolish to believe we fight in the Middle East related to terrorism. It’s about oil, and it always has been.

Sensetti

Admin, the question is what would our standard of living be without printing One Trillion a year?

Hey, I’am all for getting out of the Middle East, hence my support for Rand Paul Republican candidate for President. But that being said, I also know what will happen when we stop printing money, we go over a cliff, but to get back to a sane monetary base we must endure the pain. I think Rand is the man for the job.

Sensetti

Admin, Please tear up my argument, tell me the petrodollar has nothing to do with our wars in the Middle East. Convince me we could print a trillion a year without the petrodollar system in place. Youre a numbers guy so tell me where our standard of living would be without printing a Trillion a year. Would it be higher or lower?

Sensetti

Admin, one more thing. A canned response from a Republican website? The Republican establishment has never admitted to the real reason we fight in the Middle East. If memory serves me they said something about WMD’s.

Why did we remove Saddam ? To teach those savages not to trade oil for Euro’s.

Sensetti

Buckhead I believe that’s correct Saddam was going to price his oil in Euros, same thing with Gaddafi
They always wind up dead and their country’s destroyed when they talk about walking away from the dollar.
I don’t support the tactics used by our leaders, however, I understand why we do what we do. Is it corrupt? Damn straight it is.

Sensetti

Admin, thank you because I really don’t know. But how would we pay for food stamps, social security and Medicare, Medicaid. Anecdotal evidence would suggest those programs would be cut drastically

Sensetti

I love this video. I have it on my IPhone at the ready, it’s my main tool to beat on tax and spend libtards. But it gives me some idea what things will look like when we stop printing a trillion a year.

Enjoy!

The answer to all our problems is to make marijuana usage mandatory. It won’t help but we won’t give a shit.

Out of every human being on the planet consuming oxygen at this very moment. Nobody, and I mean nobody needs to get high more than Triple S. I think the entire world would hold hands and sing we are the world, (watch video below for all u Minnie’s) the lion would lay down with the lamb.

You know Marijuana usage is very high amongst golfers, so I figure Triple S is a closet pothead just trying to through off the DEA. Southern Arizonia +golfer = Pothead. Read Golf Digest article below for absolute proof.

You all forgot about everyone who will die .You forgot about the nations that will be destroyed. When this system collapses this country will burn and kill like no other in history. By that time this country will be flooded by third world immigrants . We will not be able to unite the country .around anything because we will have nothing in common. Third world immigration , multiculturalism , and diversity will make hostile ethnic groups . It is evil. The ruling class knows this will keep them in power.By 2025 the interest on debt will be around 800 billion a year if interest rates dont rise.

I perfer the petrodollar.

bb

Most of the males in my family die around the age of 75 .I’m 53 so I sincerely hope for my sakes the petrodollar last a while longer.
Good job explaining things …. Goat Fucker..

DRUD
DRUD

Everything the US has been involved in since 1990 and probably much further back has been entirely about the PetroDollar. You guys are splitting hairs about the standard of living. Yes, middle class has been royally screwed over the past 3-4 decades, but that is mostly a separate issue. The worldwide use of US dollars to pay for oil has created a huge demand for our particular fiat toilet paper; that has allowed our politicians to bribe the more foolish among us with some shiny trinkets and social programs that appear to make our standard of living better. Stick to what we all agree on: 1)The US political system is an oligarchy run by a few megalomaniacs that create wars all over the globe to both line their pockets and keep the bullshit system going (keepind them in power), 2) Everything we hear about wars overseas is total bullshit.

DRUD
DRUD

Oh, and 3) neither of our current bullshit political parties have any interest in real change, smaller government or fewer bullshit wars.

Sensetti

From Administrator’s comments to the post… ” And (our wars have) only cost…hundreds of thousands of killed and wounded civilians. But they are brown skinned, so no biggie.”

Right on! I’m glad someone realizes that the loss of lesser breeds is no loss at all.

One of America’s greatest generals, William T. Sherman, realized that when, during the Indian wars, he wrote, “The more [Indians] we can kill this year, the less that will have to be killed next year… ”

Another great American who understood that scum needs to be swept away was Union General John Pope. About the Sioux Indian savages during their 1862 uprising, he wrote, “It is my purpose to utterly exterminate the Sioux. . . . They are to be treated as maniacs or wild beasts…”

In the Fillipino war, General Jacob H. Smith, a deserving hero, said about the brown-skinned nothings, “I want no prisoners. I wish you to kill and burn, the more you kill and burn the better it will please me.”

And so it goes. Americans over the years seem to have realized that stigmatizing and slaughtering some groups unifies our nation and advances the purposes of the State. These days the American Sniper is, deservedly, the apotheosis of American patriotism.

As I see it, our Judeo-Christian goal should be the cleansing the world of the Muslims now, the Russians next, and then the Chinese. We’ve swept away pests in the past. With all of us suporting our State, its leaders, and our selfless soldier heroes, we should be able to scour the world of scum in the near future.

bb

Goat Fucker , at least AWD was nice about it.

The next budget is estimated at $4 trillion.

So, when I divide $4T by the population of 316 million or so, I get $12,658 to be spent per person.

Are you FUCKING SHITTING ME!!!!!

The govt is spending $50k on my family of 4. And that is just the fed govt. There is probably another $20k being spent by the local and state govts.

Un-fucking-believable. $70k govt funds being spent for my family of 4. And what do I get for it? Fucking almost nothing. And the things I need I do not get – good roads and infrastructure, for instance.

Goddamn sons of bitches.

God, you guys (lipoh , Sensetti ) are in a bad mood today .What happened ? Favorite team lose the super bowl . It only going to get worse. Once you accept this life gets more peaceful.

Pure speculation. Has anyone thought it is possible the burning of the Jordanian pilot was false flag for drumming up support for an expanded war against the JV team? There is just to much outrage in the media (a wholly owned subsidiary ofTPTB) holy crap Fox and MSNBC agree..

Sensetti

bb , you sick twisted mother fucker you make me smile,
carry on!!

IraK, who, unlike others, gladly pays taxes to support America,
IraK, who, unlike others, gladly pays taxes to support America,

llpoh,

What do you get for your family’s $50k per year? A lot, I say. Add up the bennies…

1st, a stable country. No 30 Blocks boys, Ferguson hooligans, or running amuck blacks are likely to threaten your business, my estate, or the homes and lives of other TBP posters and commentators or most Americans. Money we’ve spent for police, the military, surveillance, prisons, internment camps, and other forms of population control will see to that. Your taxes and mine keep Americans safe.

2nd, America’s enemies kept at arms length. More spending on the military than by all the other countries of the world put together has paid off. We have Russia and China surrounded. We pipe Europe’s tune and we control the Middle-East. Whether it’s the Ukraine, London, Japan, Pakistan, or most other countries, when the United States says “Hop” they jump. And the recusants, like Malaysia who had the temerity to try the US and Israel on war crimes charges, or iconoclastic Venezuala, have seen their commercial airlines targeted or their leaders and economy waste away. All of your tax money we’ve spent on foreign control has been well spent, I say.

3rd, your money has helped keep America’s great financial institutions strong and healthy. You should be proud of helping the too-big-to-fail companies from failing. We all have benefited from the financial stability that’s come from that.

4th, money spent on social programs is a good investment. Dribble out what’s necessary to the worthless and they’ll be way less trouble is what I say. Subsidized housing, cell phones, tv, and porn and sports access internet is worth every penny to keep human vegetables in their place.

I’m a big supporter of hefty taxes. Even though I pay less than you – due to favorable legislation and my accountants – I’m pleased to support America and her leaders. And, I’d gladly pay as much to the government as you and other TBPers do if the laws were different.

Jackson, who's trying to give up politics for golf, girls -well, at least one, my inamorata- and, and other things
Jackson, who's trying to give up politics for golf, girls -well, at least one, my inamorata- and, and other things

Ah yes, America’s soldiers back to Irak.
And then we’ll be sending advisors and defensive weapons to the Ukriane from what I read.
In addition there are the military exercises we have planned for Georgia.
Oh, and more men and planes to the Baltics.
And false flags? Some planned, I’m sure but the pundits I read don’t yet know where we’ll strike or when. All they can do is analyze what’s happened already, 911, Boston, Sandy Hook, Charlie Hebdo, etc.
Geopolitics, it’s all too much for me.
That’s why I’m concentrating on Spring golf and getting in shape for this year’s 70 rounds and other fascinations.
