Not Chicago, but certain neighborhoods in Chicago.
If we de-annexed the 5 southmost wards of this city, this would be the cleanest, most crime-free town in this country. Actually, if we were able to excise just 4 or 5 neighborhoods out of them, we be home free, because all the people doing the shooting all know each other and live their whole lives within a 5 block area.

Chicago , the crime problem in Chicago is a black problem. The murder and most other forms of violent crime is a black crime problem. When the police go into a neighborhood to stop the crime they are immediately slandered and called racist. I am beyond pity rather I have nothing but contempt for them.I guess I’m just tired of all the lies about crime.

bb, you may be beyond pity for them, but pity the rest of us; those assholes in Ravenswood, et.al. don’t STAY in Ravenswood, they come out to the rest of Illinois, Milwaukee, etc. and bring their murdering ways with them.

d.c. sunsets, I don’t know where you get your info, but Ravenswood is one of the cleanest, WHITEST, and increasingly expensive neighborhoods on Chicago’s north side.
About that robbery of Rahm’s son… the robbers were apprehended, and Rahm and his kid decided not to press charges. Those robbers did not live in that neighborhood. Methinks that the kid was somehow associated with his assailants- a drug deal gone bad, perhaps- and that is why no charges were brought. We are all very suspicious, because stuff like this does not happen in nabes like Ravenswood, or in my neighborhood.

Maybe they could lay a trail of watermelons from the 5 southern wards out to say Gary, Indiana. The murder rate in chicago would drop to zilch, and no one cares about Gary, anyway. It is all black already, so the general demographics would not change. And they have lots of empty houses since all the white folk moved away since the 60’s.
You could try to get enough watermelons to lead them all the way over to Detroit. Michigan needs them, to help resurrect Detroit, you know.
