1. — This video is a false flag to get laws passed to force older people into self-driving cars.

2. — Cops broke the window and dragged him through broken glass and electrocuted him yelling STOP RESISTING!!!! Then they took turns kicking him in the groin while in a choke hold. One of the cops saw his broken hand twitch so he had to pull out his weapon and fire three shots into his crippled bloody torso. Cops defense- they were scared… No charges…

Why stop in the parking spot?–just drive up to the door…oops! The car doesn’t fit through the door!

Never mind the veracity of this video, which I have my doubts about, too.

92 year olds should mostly not drive, and aging people should all be alert to signs that their reflexes and senses are slipping enough to make them less safe, especially if they have had strokes, or are suffering from diseases like diabetes, which can impair your sight just enough to skew your perceptions.

My mother was a fast, confident, competent driver with a perfect record until she had a small stroke at age 68. It was a “minor” event that left her with impaired peripheral vision, which prevented her from seeing things that were passing behind her, like when she was backing out of a parking slot with me in the car, and nearly backed into someone rolling past behind her. She had become a very nervous, shaky, hesitant driver who knew she wasn’t seeing or responding the way she used to. So she stopped driving and had relatives take her where she needed to go.

If you are growing older, be honest with yourself, and move somewhere where you can walk or take transit where you need to go. Time to sell the 2500 square ft McHouse you’re rattling around in anyway, and use the profits to situate yourself where you can live without driving.

Dad gave up driving when he made it home saying, “I think I hit something,” and he had. Luckily it was the yellow of the pylon in the grocery store parking lot.

We all sighed in relief the day he turned over his keys. With only one eye, and that sight fading fast, it was long past time for him to quit. At least in his hometown he never went on the highway and never went faster than 20 mph.

Delusions die hard for ‘murkins. Very, very, hard.

Aw, this was an exceptionally nice post. Taking the time and actual effort
to generate a superb article… but what can I say… I
procrastinate a lot and never manage to get anything done.
