FEEL GOOD STORY OF THE DAY

Why didn’t he wait for the 2nd Responder Heroes to save him?

For those of you who are anti-gun, this is a classic example of a good guy with a gun defending himself from a bad guy with a gun. On February 18, 25-year-old Terry Gillenwater attempted to rob the Good Family Pharmacy in Pinch, West Virginia, just outside the capital of Charlestown. It would his last act.

In surveillance video, you see Gillenwater attempt to rob the pharmacy at gunpoint, but he did not expect pharmacist Rob Radcliff, who is also a concealed carry permit, to draw his firearm shooting him three times. The first and third shots hit Gillenwater’s shoulder and chest. The second hit his gun, disabling it, according to West Virginia’s Metro News.

I watched this several times . That pharmacists was trained in how to respond. Did you notice him moving toward the robber.

I love a happy ending!

The more this happens, and is publicized, the fewer armed robberies will occur. The hard part is the MSM picking up these kinda “feel good” stories. IMO they avoid them to encourage gun control.

@bb, how is moving toward the threat a positive? Moving sideways, yes, but presenting a closer target seems imprudent. Unless the pharmacist was wearing body armor or was trying to keep employees out of the line of fire, closer doesn’t work for me.

Also they claim his 2nd shot disabled the robber’s weapon. Must’ve been using a polymer framed gun. Never thought of that…

Gunfight begins with TWO people between the armed pharmacist and the robber. YIKES!

I’m also surprised the pharmacist didn’t do half a mag dump at that range initially, and a customer dodged in the same direction as the robber, before pharmacist fired his last round. Yikes again.

This went well, but it could have gone a whole different way. Having the door right there near the drug counter is horrible physical security, too. The ability of the public to approach the side of the counter is also very bad; in the robbery the staff could not just duck behind their work station.

This pharmacy would NOT be my favorite place to shop. Kudos for the pharmacist in carrying, and for his success, but not good that several vulnerabilities existed to encourage the robber’s folly.

That pharmacist didn’t have to shoot him. He could have sat in the car and waited for backup. That robber wanted to be an astronaut. He was turning his life around. Why didn’t the guy just shoot him in the leg? Where do I send my teddy bear for the memorial? He had his hands up, begging the pharmacist not to shoot. What if that was a BB gun? The pharmacist jumped to a lot of conclusions. Somehow, this is about racism. Guarantee d

What’s really unbelievable is that the pharmacist has to chamber a round, prior to gettin to gunfightin. Kudos, dude, you got brass
