While I largely agree with the comics, climate denial is not among them. BTW, HERE is one green fat cat:

“A prominent academic and climate change denier’s work was funded almost entirely by the energy industry, receiving more than $1.2m from companies, lobby groups and oil billionaires over more than a decade, newly released documents show.”

Alex

In our self-centred world it seems hard for folks to understand that local weather is not climate, or an overall indicator of world-wide trends and change. Few folks freezing their ass off wonder just why the jet stream has shifted and allowed the artic surges to be ‘forced south’ along the east coast of NA?

Look at a weather map, folks. As an aside I live at +50 deg North (Vancouver Island) and have put on 700 km this month so far on a new motorcycle. Our local mountains have no snow, ski hills are shut down, and they look like June or July views. Our daffs are blooming 2-3 weeks early and I started using hay fever steroid spray feb. 1st when the hazlennuts started to surge catykins and the alders swelled up.

AA,
If you would like to advance your climate change agenda feel free to come over hear and help me shovel some of the 8+ feet of snow at my house. Oh, and we are on the verge of having the coldest February on record. Also I am sure that all of the climate “scientists” have no stake in the government funding business, since the government only wants the people accepting the grants to advance their closely held “climate change ” agenda. If you want to affect change you might want to go to China and see what they are pumping into the air, as well as the ground and water. It appears to me that most climate change zealots want the US to unilaterally disarm while other countries laugh at us.

Bostonbod,

While I sit on the middle ground of climate change, being old and reading that climate change is somewhat natural. We humans may have helped climate for the worst, but I am not drinking the kool-aid.

But any who, are you getting a boat out of storage soon?

If we really cared about the planet, we would fix the REAL problems first. Like fukushima, or the ocean garbage patches. Its how I know climate change is bullshit. For gods sake look at a historical graph of earths temps. They are all over the place. And you may also hear pundits say, we havent seen anything like this in fifty years. Means it has all happened before.

Oh boy $1,200,000! Wow that’s a bunch of money. I love that work in of the KOCH name too. Makes that article a Two-fer.

When you compare that to the BILLIONS spent by government on all kinds of Green energy BS Solyndra, Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project, Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/2011/08/23/the-alarming-cost-of-climate-change-hysteria/

“According to the GAO, annual federal climate spending has increased from $4.6 billion in 2003 to $8.8 billion in 2010, amounting to $106.7 billion over that period.”

“Data compiled by Joanne Nova at the Science and Policy Institute indicates that the U.S. Government spent more than $32.5 billion on climate studies between 1989 and 2009. This doesn’t count about $79 billion more spent for climate change technology research, foreign aid and tax breaks for “green energy.”

Where do you think the real fraud is being perpetrated?

There’s no denying that the climate is changing. Right now we have record drought on the US west coast and record snow and cold on the east coast. The debate is over how much of that change is due to man’s influence (is the climate change anthropogenic or not?). How many of the proponents of anthropogenic global warming have actually investigated the models that were used to “prove” global warming? How many of them even know that the “proof” of global warming is based solely on a few computer models? A few inconvenient facts about those models: NONE of them accurately portrayed the climate changes that have happened over the last 20 years since they were created (this is one of the reasons why they changed the name from “global warming” to “climate change”), they don’t even come close. NONE of the models factor in solar cycls and changes in solar output (look up information about the Dalton and Maunder minimums to see why this is important). NONE of the models accurately portray the influence of undersea volcanoes (since they have been created the number of undersea volcanos that we know about has gone up drastically). I could go on, but any one of these lacks in the computer models is enough to discredit the lot of them. There could be some anthropogenic component to climate change, but if there is the models being brought forward as “proof” are anything but.

This link shows a weather map from February 1934 and from this February this year. They are almost identical. Warm in the west, cold in the east….

all these great cartoons and one cartoon head commenter has to put down “deniers”- typical left-tard ignores the reality of government funded agencies changing all the data to publish lies (2014 hottest year ever); shutting down the best and cheapest sources of energy (fossil fuels) so people can freeze to death.
green commies make al gore richer so we can pay more for less warmth. smart people.

There is no doubt the climate is changing….are you daft? Its weather. It always changes. Its cyclic. We have seen this same weather before. There was an ice age. It ended on its own as things warmed. Its been both hotter and colder before. It will again. Planet is too old for a couple human lifetimes of observation to evaluate climate. Even 100 thousand years isnt enuf to extrapolate climate of a 4.2 billion year old planet. People are so stupid. Government lies all the time. Why choose to believe this highly unlikely thing. If it was real they wouldnt even tell you so you wouldnt panic. And thats not even doing the math on the miniscule amount of co2 humans generate.

phoenixny One Super Volcano lets loose and one of them will eventually. In the very long term.

AGW is only about control of the population and what they are allowed to do,

No one will care about sea garbage islands
