Any moron that will pay five dollars for a cup of coffee shouldn’t be allowed to even dangle their feet in the gene pool , much less swim.

I wish I had something that people would pay five times the going rate for, I’d sell the shit out of it.

Writes Peter Gauthier:

After a recent visit to a couple of Starbucks in the U.S., I think their CEO should facilitate some more important discussions than race, like how to motivate the slack-jawed employees to clean the tables, floors, and bathrooms, clean and refill milk containers, empty the trash, wipe the filthy counters, say “Thank you” to the customers instead of frowning at them if they don’t put money in the tip jar.

I’ve been in a Starbucks exactly once in my life. There was an insulated, stainless steel cup I wanted but could not find and a friend told me Starbucks sold them. I went in and found something similar but not the same so I left. That is the sum total of my Starbucks experience except for ridiculing those who piss away money they don’t have on their products.

” … if they don’t put money in the tip jar.” ———– flash

hey flash / others … does that tip-jar bullshit piss you off?? They’re everywhere; Dunkin Donuts, the pizza place, the convenience store, etc etc.

ALL YA FUCKIN’ DID WAS RING UP MY SMALL GODDAMN ORDER YA FUKNUT SLACKER!!!

I actually do leave tips sometimes … especially at the dot-head places ….. I make a big deal of it too; rummaging through my pocket, digging out my change, and then counting out 7 or 8 PENNIES to put in the jar, accompanied with a most self-righteous tone of voice and totally smug smile — “there ya go”.

IS

Listen to old Bea on this one, get yourself a YETI and you will be really happy. Coffee stays really hot for a long time and I think it is worth the investment.

Never been in a Starbucks. Never had a desire to go.I would rather go down to the local beer joint.
Drink a few beers and play those old pin ball machines from the early 70s.

Bea, I don’t drink coffee. I never have so I get to skip that expensive, ritualistic “can’t do shit till I had my coffee” routine. I can shoot straight and do long division in my head as soon as the eyelids open!

For keeping things hot I have an old 1955 Stanley stainless steel thermos I found in the backseat of an old 1940’s car in a junkyard. It was rather nasty when I found it but some TSP cleaned it right up. It holds two quarts and keeps things hotter or colder than any of the modern versions. Even the lid which doubles as a cup is insulated.

The insulated stainless cup I was looking for is almost as good. Holds a quart and has a solid lid and a sippy lid. The thing that impressed me about it was that I left it on top of the truck one day and it fell off the roof, hit the highway at 70mph and bounced about a hundred times then got hit by another car and bounced a hundred more times. I went back and retrieved it and other than a few scuff marks it was just fine. I sanded the rough bits of plastic and warmed it with a flame and it’s good as new. I bought three more once I found them and now they are unobtainium. The crazy thing is that there are no markings of any kind on it. If I made something that good I’d put a name on it. They were made in Japan.
