Yeah, seen this the other day…
Sort of explains how the push starts and pull starts manage to outscore the hell out of us.
There’s a lot on the line. You get awesome test scores, then you get an H1B visa to the US – the land where everyone isn’t dressed as “India Man” – paid a good wage and eventually you get citizenship…
All you have to do is cheat your way to the top, be willing to work for 1/2 that of your American counterpart for a few years and then you can do what you want afterwards…
Fuckers…
As a software developer I’ve had some direct experience with the ‘curry monkeys’ or ‘dot heads’ take your pick.
Most of them are woefully uneducated – in every way – not just comp sci. Add to this their bad manners – truely turd world.
Their culture is to lie. Can you get the xzy function working by Friday? Curry says yes, yes. Come Monday – is it done? Yes, yes will be done tomorrow. This can go on for weeks.
Over 600 million people in India, or more than 53 percent of Indian households, defecate without using a toilet or latrine. A new report by the World Bank indicates that the lack of sanitary facilities in the country not only contributes to the spread of diseases, but also slows cognitive achievement among children.
The release of the report coincides with the United Nations’ World Toilet Day, an initiative to draw attention to sanitation challenges around the world.
The World Bank research showed that 6-year-old children who had taken part in one of India’s sanitation projects in the first year of their lives were more likely to recognize letters and simple numbers on learning tests. The study therefore suggests that open defecation is a threat to the human capital of developing countries.
“Open defecation lies at the root of many development challenges, as poor sanitation and lack of access to toilets impact public health, education, and the environment,” said Jaehyang So, Manager of the World Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program.
@Dutch, I headhunted for computer/tech/telecom guys during the height of the tech/Y2K boom.
What you say is very true. My IT VP was convinced that the Chinese were better workers, but I think he worried about spies and the communication grid. Luckily, as the Y2K/dotcom boom exploded, we were able to grab some excellent talent, with excellent credentials and known by a member of staff.
Which is great when you consider a well placed virus by a member of our company might have had the potential to shut down an entire city’s ability to transmit information. And we were but one of hundreds and hundreds of said companies hiring H1-B’s.
Now, everyone of our computers is running software that foreigners, of questionable education and maybe even motives, has had their hand in. I’m told this is progress and inevitable.
What it is, is short sighted and BS. Just one former tech/hr girl’s opinion.
@Admin, when I sold insurance door-to-door, I hated the Indian neighborhoods of ghettosized big(ger) shitties. They literally shit where they ate, and in the bushes. I did not believe my friend whom grew up with her grandparents as the last white holdouts in the ghetto.
Now throw in their religious aversion to beef fat, a better source of brain and heart food man does not know.
Doomed by their own hands. Kinda like us, and China, and everywhere. Just a different flavor of doom.
And smell, oh ye gods, the smell!
