When I read the title I of course assumed it had something to do with Obozo
I first thought of posting this on the thread about that Femen gal as a comment on Billy’s remarks about the fucked-upped-ness (making up my own vocabulary here) of Europe, leaving him hopelessly clueless as to what is happening over there, and for which he got some flak.
Billy, like so often, was totally right. That girl’s head is seriously messed up. Though for once she got her enemy right, it’s for all the wrong reasons.
First of all, this was no show of individual protest. Femen has an agenda and, I would certainly think, financial backers and legal support. Seen this way, in no way did she pull a courageous act.
The same Josephine gained notoriety by pulling blank in Cologne cathedral not on any other day but during Christmas mass on dec. 25. While Femen usually pulls their stunts to thunderous media applause in Germany, in this case even the usually complicit mainstream media reacted a bit estranged, probably sensing that their usual support for shit like this would not go down well this time.
Some disgusted old guy slapped her in the face while staff struggled to control her. Of course, she sued him. If memory serves me right, he was fined and humiliated by being forced to apologize to her. Wikipedia says that the lawsuit against him was dropped. Too lazy to look up now what is the truth here, but I remember it differently. Whatever.
She also was part of a group of three who pulled blank in Tunisia, of all places, in support of some Tunisian feminist, causing an international diplomatic incident. Local authorities did a sensible thing and, how dared they, threw them in jail instead of just chopping their heads off. She then was bailed out of jail by German government intervention.
This is not funny anymore.
How about pulling your stunts in some place where your actions could have some serious consequences, like, the caliphate? Oh, but we wouldn’t see that from you, now would we, Josephine? Thought so. That would take some real courage.
That picture of Putin was taken at the Hannover fair when some Femen “activist” pulled blank on Merkel and Putin. The video is good for a short but hard laugh. Vlad once more reacted like a real man whereas Mario looks like he shat his pants. Probably thought that his moment had come. He surely knows why.
Raises the question about what kind of security do they have around our leaders. Or are these interruptions willfully planned to disgrace them? I mean come on, you can just walk up to breathing distance to Putin and Draghi? I’d raise all hell bout it if I were them.
