WHEN ONLY THE COPS HAVE GUNS, IT’S CALLED A POLICE STATE

Some Americans seem to be coming to their senses. Despite massive levels of liberal media propaganda and Obama efforts to ban guns, the percentage of people in favor of guns rights is at record highs, while gun control nutjobs have seen their advocacy plummet to 20 year lows.

Of course a gun in your house makes you safer. Do you think the criminals are going to wait for the 2nd responders to show up before robbing, raping or killing you or your loved ones?

What PEW and Gallup fail to acknowledge is that Americans are arming themselves against the government. Any critical thinking person can see the surveillance state considers us all potential enemies. They are prepping to treat us as combatants. We are buying guns in record numbers because we don’t trust Obama, Clinton or any of the captured politicians in Washington DC. The mood of the people is darkening. We know what is coming and we’re preparing.

“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.”George Washington

The American people aren’t stupid (at least most of them).

Sometimes it just takes them a while.

And sometimes, like a mule, you gotta hit ’em over the head first to get their attention.

Anonymous when you say American people who do mean ? There’s a large number of Americans that are that stupid. Half the voting population still think Obama is there Lord and saviour. Obama is a socialist of some stripe and they are always are ready to disarm the population.

Well if they aren’t stupid then they are mostly fucked up. And fat too.

If you want to fix the nation and the system you have to fix most the stupid and / or fucked up people right after you kill all the bankers. That will never happen.

Just prepare and stock up ammo. The zombies are legion they just don’t look like zombies yet except some FSA members, some Wal Mart Shoppers and Hillary Clinton.

To show some Americans are stupid and will always be stupid.

I have a good friend from my past that is no longer my friend, he is insanely anti-gun and pro-state, he….he….he…..un-friended me, sob.

Anyway, remember the cop that ran over the guy carrying the rifle? This was his response, pretty funny eh?

“If we want to interpret the right to keep and bear an ancient muzzle loader and some gun powder as the right to walk down the street carrying a machine gun, then the right and reasonable constraints of local peace officers throughout this federal land MUST not curtail said officers’ freedom to mow down a citizen like a fence post if said citizen chooses to exercise their 2nd amendment privileges in so frivolous a way as to get one finger twitch away from using their automatic blunderbuss to blow away workers putting up siding from a scaffolding.”

Americans are NOT arming up to fight their government, for despite the fact that 99.999999% have never heard of Etienne de la Boetie, they viscerally grasp that the “government” is a creature of their own collectivist illusions.

They are arming up because they feel that chaos is spinning up, right under the façade of almighty government, and that soon the veneer of order maintained by a police state and selective reporting by the MSM gatekeepers will evaporate leaving them staring at the approach of an F5 chaos tornado with no one to protect them but themselves.

Card802, FWIW, a guy who enters my immediate vicinity carrying a rifle (or pistol) in HAND is 95% of his way to being lit up like a Christmas tree by me.

I don’t like open carry (I think it’s needlessly provocative) but it’s no different than the rules AT A TYPICAL GUN RANGE: “the weapon can be drawn only to defend against an immediate threat to life, or of serious injury.”

Someone with his hands ON the gun had better have a clear reason for doing so, or someone (cop or bystander) is going to either drill them or, if that’s less safe, run them over with a car (or drop a piano on their head.)

Our over-politicized world is a reaction to Mass Man’s distaste for leaving other people alone to live their own lives, and to requiring of himself and others a degree of COMMON SENSE.

Life is uncertain while it lasts, and has a definite duration. It is (and should be) DANGEROUS to live with a lack of common sense, because doing so increases the chaos factor, the odds that your life (or just happiness) ends prematurely due to preventable disease, including acute lead poisoning.

People are arming up because they are re-acquiring the common sense notion that their own personal, immediate security is THEIR responsibility, not something they can delegate to tax-paid “professionals” who come with their own set of dangers.

The delegation of responsibility to “the state” was the Progressive Era’s major path. People outside the political system were fallen and bad, so to make Earth a Garden of Eden people were to delegate all their power to those INSIDE the political system.

It looks phenomenally stupid when stated this way, but oh–the promises that were made…. A chicken in every pot, and all that.

Peak (Political) Government = Peak Delegation of Power to the Political System.

People are (correctly) realizing this is madness, and are acting to pull back an increasing share of their personal power, and a very visible part of this is the acquiring of small arms and the training to employ them well.

Rising interest in guns is simply decreasing trust in political solutions to social problems.

(Political solutions to social problems is an oxymoron, because politics creates social problems all by itself. Seeking to cure social problems via the Fist of the State is like trying to cure cancer with cyanide.)

Read another article this a.m. that another mass shooting was stopped in Chicago by a CC holder, at least the second one this year with that Philadelphia one.

Probably not going to see much MSM coverage since there was no carnage to report, only the attempted killer ended up shot and he was only wounded.

I imagine most preventions of mass killings by someone with a gun go mostly unreported, you have to look for them to find out about them.

It’s a start.

But oh my we have such a long, long, way to go for people to let go of their Idolization of State and its paid-for Science.

I was watching a FAT (man is BIG) SOB that runs some medical rules organization (any wonder why we are fat, this is the guy deciding what works and what doesn’t!) calling out Dr. Oz for not towing the death as savior business model.

Science, especially cherry-picked science, is folly, NOT God.

People are getting guns, but are they training?

Until we start seeing neighborhood wide home gardens, thin, strong, asses and demands that poisons stop being forced on our children, I can damn well guarantee they aren’t waking the freak up in any meaningful way.

We be sheep. The same throughout eternity. Maybe someone pure of heart steps forward and leads us to the light, but really, do any of you believe this could happen now?

dc,

I agree with you, the example I gave was a poor one, you’d really have to read all his anti-gun pro state ramblings to get an idea of where his mind is really at.

He believes police should be granted (by the state) the right to enter your home and take your firearms, by deadly force if required. Then and only then will the children be safe.

card802, I feel your pain.

Slavery is a state of mind, isn’t it? We are largely surrounded by slaves, who are happy in their chains and who detest anyone who attempts to cast their chains from their wrists.

Such people live in fear. They think we (who are armed) are fearful, but this is simple projection. They fear self-responsibility and the burdens thereof. Thus do they seek to delegate all aspects of their lives to others, and indulge in the MADNESS that others are angels if they work for the state.

Their viewpoint is religious.

They believe individuals in private life are bad, but somehow people taken from that same pool of individuals are suddenly GOOD when they are elected or appointed to a position in the State Apparatus. This logical disconnect is as plain as the nose on my face, yet they are blind to it. They are thus, to me, revealed as utterly stupid, they are just “breathing my air.”

If sanity is a relentless commitment to narrowing the gap between our perceptions and actual reality, most people are batshit crazy.

I do not love National Review, but this story deserves to be placed on Billboards EVERYWHERE:

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/417207/politicized-prosecution-run-amok-wisconsin-rich-lowry

A rogue prosecutor targeted political supporters of Scott Walker with SWAT raids.

I. Shit. You. Not.

Government officials who are STILL IN OFFICE were SWATTING people. I know political violence is always present, and know that cops are often used this way by dirty politicians, but this is a new low.

Card802, FWIW, a guy who enters my immediate vicinity carrying a rifle (or pistol) in HAND is 95% of his way to being lit up like a Christmas tree by me.

Then you need more practice on threat recognition and body language, facial cues, etc.

If he’s not acting aggressively, pointing the bad end in your direction or acting the fool, then he’s no threat. Some long guns have no sling, and not everyone has a nice rifle case for every weapon they own.

Friend of mine was working on a particular rifle – nothing special. His car broke down, but he lived within walking distance. He didn’t have a case for it, but no bigs – they had open carry.

So, he starts walking home, rifle over his shoulder. He got about a block away when some do-gooder choadsmack called the cops and they jacked him up, even though he was doing nothing wrong, nothing illegal, etc. He explained who he was, what he was doing, etc, and that the long gun wasn’t even functional. Cops were forced to let him go. And get this – they gave him a warning! Why would you need a fucking warning for NOT breaking the law and acting in a completely innocent and lawful manner?

Assholes.

I don’t like open carry (I think it’s needlessly provocative) but it’s no different than the rules AT A TYPICAL GUN RANGE: “the weapon can be drawn only to defend against an immediate threat to life, or of serious injury.”

I don’t have a problem with open carry. Free men walk armed. Slaves do not. Even the ancient Romans and Saxons knew that.

And if it’s no different than the rules at a typical gun range, then I guess you’re “95% ready” to blow away everyone on the firing line and all the employees every time you go to the range since everyone is carrying openly.

I think your fears are irrational. Someone wants to carry openly? Not my concern, since I probably will be too.

And the “there oughta be a law” attitude against open carry is what starts us down the path to totalitarianism… yes, I know you did not say those exact words, but your attitude says it clearly.

Someone with his hands ON the gun had better have a clear reason for doing so, or someone (cop or bystander) is going to either drill them or, if that’s less safe, run them over with a car (or drop a piano on their head.)

I got no heartburn with this. Putting your hand on a weapon and looking like you have every intention of drawing it is a provocative action and an escalation of violence in and of itself.

However, when you compare this with your above statements against open carry, the problem is self-correcting – open carry is fine until someone does something provocative or stupid, and then it becomes not a problem, thanks to other free men or police nearby.

I don’t particularly like the fact that people consume mind-altering substances as a general rule – I think it betrays a weakness and burns your brain out. And we have enough burnouts as it is. But I got no say in the matter – as far as I am concerned, free men have the right to consume whatever they wish. If they want to drink a glass of Fukushima reactor water, or some hooch they brewed up in their garage, then go ahead. But I’m not going to bother myself with it. Not my concern.

Billy, if someone walks point to point with his gun in battery, he’ll be kicked out of MY club instantly. The club has a zero tolerance policy based on maintaining its no injuries, no negligence history.

It’s an IPSC-style USPSA dominated club, by the way. On Thursday nights the place is crawling with guns with guns on their hips…with NO ONE but the guy running a course of fire with a mag in the gun and a cartridge in the chamber.

You didn’t seem to grasp my point. If you think walking down my street carrying an AR15 with a mag in it and the bolt closed ISN’T going to attract all the bad kinds of attention you wish to avoid, if you think that’s NOT provocative, then we’ll agree to disagree. If your friend was too stupid to walk down the lane with an unloaded gun with the action OPEN, then I’ll have to question your minimum intelligence quotient for friendship. Don’t know, don’t care.

You qualified ALL of your argument against my position with “as long as no one does anything provocative or stupid.” By definition, walking around with a gun that appears Ready To Fire, IN YOUR HANDS, is 95% of the way to your definition.

Add 5% (the 5% I stated at the outset) and you’re looking down your sights at me.

Someone who does that to you DOESN’T get lit up?

I don’t care personally if someone open carries. Give up the element of surprise? Knock yourself out. But those who open carry just to make a point, just to prove how “Free” they are and to rub other people’s noses in it, especially those not as “enlightened” as the rest of us, are just making trouble and pulling me into it. A neighbor of my son is doing exactly this, open carrying just to irritate those who are uncomfortable with it, just Because He Can.

If you don’t think that’s just being an asshole, AGAIN, we’ll have to agree to disagree.

By the way, Billy, in what 51st state do you reside in that allows “open carry” or “concealed carry” with the gun in your hand?

Since I’m assuming you were one of the negs on my comment, I’m hoping you can tell me where that’s not a felony. I also assume you were not inferring from my comment that walking down a country road with a shotgun or .22 in hand was what I referred to. I wouldn’t bat an eye at that.

What I’m talking about is a man walks into a restaurant where I’m dining with his gun (rifle, pistol or shotgun) in his hot little hands. Are you going to try to tell me that your hand wouldn’t reach back immediately to your own pistol when that happened? Assuming you don’t live in some rural backwater? That it would take just 5% more, having him shoulder the buttstock or similar, for you to draw and line him up? That a sneeze at that point would take you from condition red to condition black?

Bull.
