The War on Cash

jp-morgan Bldg

The War on Cash is heating up. Of course we had Louisiana outlaw paying cash for second hand goods under the pretense that criminals sell stolen goods for cash. France outlawed paying more than €1000 for anything and you cannot get more than €200 from an ATM. JP Morgan Chase is outlawing keeping cash in a safety deposit box. Most bank analysts are now calling for the end of cash. I have been warning that there is no way we are headed toward a gold standard or anything of the sort. We are headed into the eye of electronic money for taxes.

Electronic-Money

Besides the fact that government will get every half-penny they are looking for in taxes, moving to electronic money is a major advantage for banks. This is why their fake independent analysts are all lining up to demand abolishing currency.

Bank-Robber

Of course you have the benefit of ending bank robberies. But honestly, banks do not carry that much cash anyway. The MAJOR benefit for them to eliminate cash is you will eliminate bank runs.

Bank-Run-1933The good old days of lining up at the bank to withdraw your money will be gone forever. With banks on the brink of total disaster in Europe, eliminating cash will have the desired effect of eliminating the crisis in their mind. US banks see the hand writing on the wall for whatever starts in Europe eventually migrates here just like plays and fashion.

Cancel0Currency

Americans are just naive. Europe has routinely cancelled currency. Old currency from a few decades ago are no good even in Britain. You can swap it in if you go to the government. But they often want you to prove where it came from.

The government can simply cancel ALL CURRENCY. That will force people into electronic money. It’s coming. Faster than you may ever suspect. This is why they are also tracking the movement of gold. They are forcing society back into the barter system. Our Solution is the ONLY way out of this mess.

The demonic world system is preparing itself for their LORD and Saviour. How can people not realize the pure evil within this system and what it means for their future. You will not be able to buy or sale anything without government approval. You protest against government and they will take your bank account. The government will be able to put anyone into poverty. They will also have an electronic record of everything you do.Scary.

Do TBP readers think the USA will outlaw/recall cash? If so, will there be enough opposition to stop/reverse it?

If they outlaw cash how will the politicians take suitcases full of bribes to their off-shore bank accounts?

I can see [limiting the use of cash] as interfering with criminal enterprise..As a noble gesture, laws always start out that way..U No , for the children….Limiting us tax payers to “E” payments sure makes sense from a totalitarian perspective, a New Orwellian World Order…Simplifies the “Job” of our leaders to control us..That Said..I’d rather that our leaders tattoo an bright red “F” on the forehead of every convicted felon for my safety..Handing a check to a felon is like giving him the keys to your car..These pin head politician/lawmakers never heard of account takeovers by these guys we are paying by check ..Unreal..The check can be altered or duplicated..You really want more crime ? Let Government solve the problem..I can list a few laws that have backfired already..mike in ct

Go ahead and ban cash. Then watch the underground barter system explode. Even in their modern semi comatose state, homo sapiens remain creative and resourceful. “They” will eventually be able to destroy that attempt too, using fear and violence and the strange disappearance from your accounts of any digital dollars you do possess.

On a side note, this cashless system could be used to neutralize any advantage of holding precious metals I think.

I agree with bb. This trend will not be stopped. We will be required to be chipped eventually.

Getting rid of cash leads to the requirement for a special identification number that will be used to keep track of absolutely everything you buy and sell (everything from your labor to the groceries and amount of them you eat).

You won’t be able to buy or sell anything without this and excess purchases of anything will indicate potential black market activity and spur an investigation of what you are doing.

In addition, the pattern of your purchases -what, where, and how much- will provide all the data necessary to keep total track of your activities and psychological profile to be sure you are loyal to the authorities and not developing terrorist and atavistic tendencies.

Brave new era, mark of the beast, velvet gloved but iron fisted police state ……… it all requires the elimination of cash first to fully implement it.

The prophecies tell us it will happen, we determine the details of when and how.

Boy that Buiter is a smart fella.

Eliminate cash so banks can have official negative rates. Talk about bank runs. If you think the stock market is high now. You ain’t seen nothing yet.

Ah, the reason the banks want this, is they don’t get a cut when you take your cash into a store.

If you are on foodstamps, they get a cut, if you are on SS, or welfare, they get their cut.

But not for cash.

As for gray market and bartering, why do you think they included HOME use gardens in the USDA “reform” law passed a couple years ago. You know, the part that Obama and Pelosi PROMISED would never be enforced while they were in office (sidenote, then WHY would you include the language?)

As for my fellow sheep doing something? Bwaaahaaaaahaaa, yeah right.

No wonder the girl at the bank yesterday, after telling me where the change machine was, told me it was a good idea to “hurry” and get my change converted. No shit.

I’m taking it all in and converting it to greenbacks, then I’m going to go convert it to silver.

I still could not care a whit about the “value” of PMs. The entirety of the world isn’t nuts, and it will someday be worth more in the hand than on paper.

What a freaking disaster we seem to be hurtling at lightspeed towards.

Jello on the plate, folks.

The reason this is gaining steam is because so few people (including so few Americans) actually have any money in the first place.

What’s the largest stack of cash you’ve ever personally seen? My son who used to work as a bank teller said that the main branch where he worked rarely had more than $100,000 in cash in it, adding every $100 down to the pennies in the rolls.

There simply isn’t that much cash circulating, and so they think they can make this work.

I recall when Chicago banks tried to start charging fees for using a live human being teller for transactions. It lasted all of about 5 months. The banks that tried to do it lost customers.

Chase and other banks no longer give a rat’s ass about your deposits; they don’t need them. But they do need customers because they need BORROWERS. That’s where they make their vig.

If trying to ban cash alienates just enough people, it will fail as policy.

Few Americans have more than a few thousand dollars in savings. Even relatively wealthy upper middle class people have little cash, with their “wealth” largely wrapped up in mutual funds or other structured investments.

Cash? It’s become an anachronism…..oh, but wait until people discover that they were mistaken about that.

A war on cash is a war on discrete wealth. It is a way to render wealth all “collective” in a very real sense.

TE, the drawback is going to come when you have to sell your PM’s for digital credits instead of cash.

IS, China still values PMs, and within walking distance – long, all day walk, but walk nonetheless – are two Chinese cities that have been given sovereignty.

I’ll just keep on doing what I’m doing, and hope that they will still see value. I’ll bet they do.

Plus, I’m a walk and swimming distance from Canada, since most of my PMs is in Canadian silver, I’m sure I can find a buyer there.

AND, of course, things like jewelry and antibiotics will still be worth something, so I can always convert my stash into barter.

Contingencies upon contingencies. Just the way my mind works.

ps- I hate the evil Statist bastards that are doing this, supporting this, enabling this. But there isn’t a gdamn thing I can do about it except pray, hang on and plan. Peace to you!

It puts under compulsion all people—the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free and the slaves—that these should be marked on their right hand or on their forehead,+ 17 and that nobody can buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name+ of the wild beast or the number of its name.+ 18 This is where it calls for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man’s number,* and its number is 666.
