I laughed out loud when I saw this clip of Trump talking about McCain. He’s right. McCain was a bad pilot. He had crashed his planes multiple times. He was captured and tortured. He cracked while in captivity. He’s no hero. He’s a corrupt warmongering politician who became wealthy while in office.
I love having Trump in the race. He’s hysterical.
So McCain insulted Trump and Trump came back with an insult to McCain. I’d rather Trump not resort to a reply in kind. Both were Ad hominem attacks, which are disgusting.
Agreed! I quit voting but I am enjoying the spectacle. What a bore this election season would be without Trump.
I hope he doubles down and sends the pearl-clutching neo-Trots (red and blue) to their fainting couches again.
John McCain: When “Tokyo Rose” Ran for President
What Was John McCain’s True Wartime Record in Vietnam?
http://www.unz.com/runz/american-pravda-when-tokyo-rose-ran-for-president/
“Sacred cows make the tastiest hamburger.”
–Abbie Hoffman
It is a loosely-guarded secret that only HALF of our military Vietnam POWs were returned. The rest were to be used as “bargaining chips for “war reparations”. Since reparations were not forthcoming, our men were condemned to permanent POW status. This went on for DECADES with no attempt to retrieve our military personnel. In the late 1990s and early 2000s there were STILL verifiable sightings of Americans being held captive, from satellite reconnaissance photos, to sightings by reporters, as well as the standard “circle-K” distress signal being observed in many locations.
John “songbird” McCain and John “francoise” Kerry introduced and passed legislation prohibiting any further investigation into these verifiable live sightings of Americans, thereby consigning our military personnel to a death sentence in a foreign land.
John McCain was a major “screw-up” from the word “go” with his stupid hot-start stunt on the USS Forrestal which resulted in the deaths of many sailors. Of course, his “admiral” daddy got him off. He was no “star pupil” at Annapolis, graduating near the bottom of his class. As an aside, John McCain’s daddy was instrumental in quashing the investigation into the deliberate Israeli attack on the USS Liberty (GTR-5) in 1967. John McCain’s antics while being held POW have also been exposed. He got the name “songbird” for cooperating with his captors. I guess “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”.
John “francoise” Kerry was also a major “screw-up”. His idol was John F. Kennedy, which he attempted to emulate. He joined the Navy, never expecting to be sent to Vietnam–his disagreements with his superiors DID result in him being sent to the “brown water navy” (riverene patrol boats). He gave himself THREE Purple Hearts for minor “scratches” incurred while on the boats. His superiors would not “sign-off” on his Purple Hearts, so he submitted the applications himself. Kerry’s cardinal sin was cowardice in the face of battle, where he abandoned members of his own crew, forcing another patrol boat to retrieve them.
When returning to the states, Kerry became an avowed anti-war protestor, throwing his medals over the white house fence. He disrespected the military, calling us “baby-killers” and worse.
In fact, he committed TREASON by going to Paris, France, attempting to influence the “Paris peace talks”.
BOTH of these scumbags should have been prosecuted and executed for TREASON a long time ago…

I would agree with you except that John McCain is a warmonger and an active player in the government that is trying to destroy us, or at least enrich themselves at our expense. I got tired of his sacred “war hero” label a long time ago. I think it has reached the end of its exploitative potential.
Trump is not going to take any criticisms from the current establishment like a gentleman and I appreciate that. It deserves no respect from anybody.
How he will defend his own participation in said establishment as a part of doing business will be interesting to say the least.

Flash- Because children of military officers who participate in high level false flag operations are automatically in the “club” and are guaranteed top-billing in future scams on the Merikan people. Some of these children even become rock stars like Jim Morrison.
It all makes perfect sense when you flip the rock over and daylight hits the evil darkness that lies beneath.
Trump is a loud mouthed braggart who is totally unqualified to hold high office except that he is a loud mouthed braggart and willing to say things other totally unqualified people like John Kerry, John McCain and The Rodhamster, wouldn’t dare say. Further, while Trump may not have risen from poverty, he did make a fortune which he used to promote himself and attract beautiful wives. Kerry and McCain were basically gigolos who went after rich women and the Rodhamster’s ‘marriage’ speaks for itself.
I realize Trump is an unqualified buffoon but I will still vote for him. What alternative do I have. Bush’s, Clinton’s, Gore’s, McCain’s, Kerry’s, Romney’s? These are the people that will inevitably receive the nomination of our political parties and the fact that the ‘Establishment’ is using every means it has available to destroy Donald Trump shows he is the only person the wealth and status to speak ‘Truth to Power”
I don’t care if McCain (or his supporters) thinks of himself as a ‘war hero’. But it bothers me for him act as if being a POW is the same as being a solider with combat experience. McCain is a warmonger and likes to taut his Nam experiences like he is some great military strategist. Quite frankly I think the bomb sniffing dogs in Afghanistan and Iraq have more combat experience than McCain. Also, he has a very shoddy record of supporting the troops and veterans.

From Trump, McCain gets a harsh but surely just appraisal
By MIKE | Published: JULY 19, 2015
Donald Trump — as is his wont — used quite hard and direct language to begin a renovation project that is long overdue, a dramatically corrected assessment of Senator John McCain (R-Arizona). I have no objection to describing and respecting McCain as a “hero” for his long and painful internment in a North Vietnamese prison. He was shot down, wounded, suffered, persevered, and lived to get home. But since returning home he has exploited, for his personal benefit and to his country’s cost, his status as a former POW more shamelessly and ruthlessly than any other POW I can recall. McCain has dined out on his imprisonment for decades, and has used the protection afforded by the citizenry’s respect for his military service to do nothing but harm to the nation that has revered him.
–As an Arizona senator, McCain has abetted the flood of illegal Mexican immigrants that has inundated the state and the rest of the southwest, and that has ravaged the region’s economy, social services, education systems, and massively changed its demographic stability and social cohesion in a way that has been resolutely opposed by local residents and their elected local and state officials. In his actions, McCain has made unmistakably clear his arrogant disdain for his constituents’ opinions and desires; his utter unconcern for the economic, social, human, and crime-growth costs brought by the plague of illegal immigration he has condoned; and his treasonable willingness to sap the strength of the American Union for his own political benefit.
–As an Arizona senator and purported expert on U.S. national security, McCain has been in found in the vanguard of support for every war the national government has gotten the nation into since he has been in office. With his bipartisan colleagues, McCain’s specialty has been to support the start of all of these necessary and unnecessary wars to the hilt, while never intending to win them, thereby letting many thousands of America’s soldier-children get killed, wounded, or crippled for nothing, imposing back-breaking debt on all Americans, and earning the country ever more hatred around the world for intervening in affairs that are none of America’s business. Ironically, in fact, McCain for decades has imposed on other U.S. military personnel and their families exactly the same kind of savage treatment that the administrations of Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon ruthlessly imposed on him and his generation of patriotic young Americans by never intending to win the Vietnamese War they started.
–As an Arizona senator, McCain has shown that while he may have read the U.S. Constitution and defended it during his military services, he neither understands it nor respects the application of its provisions. From pro-peace advocates to those arguing that illegal immigration is ruining America, Arizona’s senior senator has refused to listen and described the citizens involved as “crazies” or worse. The lesson McCain teaches is that the 1st Amendment is for those citizens who agree with and provide campaign contributions to their betters in the national government, but all other Americans must be silent and do as their told while the national government’s domestic and foreign policies shreds their society and marches America to hell.
As an Arizona senator and a Republican presidential candidate, McCain behaved in a cowardly manner and refused to destroy what should have been the most easily defeated Democratic presidential candidate since the admirable, courageous, but misguided George McGovern — a man who flew 35 combat missions over Europe in World War II and never boasted of them. Because Barack Obama is Black, McCain refused to focus the debates on his appalling lack of any kind of work experience, his drug use, his racism disguised by the title “community organizer,” and the hatred for America he had so clearly shown by being a 20-year congregant of a racist Black pastor who denounced white Americans, virulently hated the United States, and preached its destruction. Again ironically, McCain’s gutless and simpering performance during the 2008 presidential campaign helped to put most Americans in an Obama-made prison that is as lawless and economically and spiritually painful as McCain’s North Vietnamese prison was lawless and physically and psychologically painful.
So choose your words a bit more carefully, Mr. Trump, but otherwise pour it on. You have torn the curtain aside from Senator McCain and shed light on the truth. Now move on to his accomplices in the domestic and foreign policies that are destroying America; namely, Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, and all the other presidential candidates in both parties, save for Walker, Paul, Webb, Carson — and a guy named Trump.
Whether you like Trump or not, I urge all of you to read “John McCain: When Tokyo Rose Ran For President”, by Ron Unz, The Unz Review, March 9, 2015. McCain is a deranged, bitter old man who has fought tooth and nail to get us involved in Israel’s Middle East wars. As far as his personal life is concerned, his nickname of McNasty is apparently well-earned. I do not think Trump fumbled in his comments on McCain. I think he intended to say just what he said because he knows the truth about McCain (and there is much more having nothing to do with Vietnam; McCain is a corrupt, lying bastard, a charter member of the Keating Five). HIs comments on Mexico were no mistake either. He knew he was right on the facts and wanted to create a shit storm, which he did. I think he will at some point pull out the real dirt on Obama, to wit Obama is not a U.S. citizen, was born in Vancouver and attended school and accepted scholarship money as a foreign student. Admin is right. This whole thing is hilarious. I like nothing more than to see pompous jerks like the Republican candidates be dragged down into the hog wallow and forced to dance in public with some 300 pound, snaggle-toothed whore, the whore being the policies they have foisted on the American people. Yee haw!

First I have heard of Oreo being a Canadian national? Where did you find this info about Vancouver?
Zata, thay’s an amazing post. John mccain is a scumbag. I can’t wait to never hear from him again. I can’t wait for Trump to start cracking heads on these other nimrods. 2 weeks till the first debate. Leader in the polls gets front and center. That would be the guy that’s 6’3″. Going to be very visually alpha.
starfcker,
I don’t know why Scheuer listed Walker among the supposed good guys. His foreign policy is atrocious…paid for by Sheldon Adelson.
Donald Trump is the cleanest shirt in a bag of shit stained laundry.
He’s presided over more bankrupt companies than anyone I can think of, yet is still rich = he’s perfect to preside over a hopelessly bankrupt country.

Trump: I don’t need to be lectured
Donald Trump
McCain has abandoned our veterans. I will fight for them.
John McCain has called his own constituents who want a secure border “crazies.” No one in the news media or the establishment, including the Republican National Committee, criticized the senator for those comments.
Now, as respected reporter Sharyl Attkisson has proved point by point, the news media are also distorting my words. But that is not my point. McCain the politician has failed the state of Arizona and the country.
During my entire business career, I have always made supporting veterans a top priority because our heroes deserve the very best for defending our freedom. Our Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals are outdated dumps. I will build the finest and most modern veterans hospitals in the world. The current medical assistance to our veterans is a disaster. A Trump administration will provide the finest universal access health care for our veterans. They will be able to get the best care anytime and anywhere.
Thanks to McCain and his Senate colleague Bernie Sanders, their legislation to cover up the VA scandal, in which 1,000+ veterans died waiting for medical care, made sure no one has been punished, charged, jailed, fined or held responsible. McCain has abandoned our veterans. I will fight for them.
The reality is that John McCain the politician has made America less safe, sent our brave soldiers into wrong-headed foreign adventures, covered up for President Obama with the VA scandal and has spent most of his time in the Senate pushing amnesty. He would rather protect the Iraqi border than Arizona’s. He even voted for the Iran Nuclear Review Act of 2015, which allows Obama, who McCain lost to in a record defeat, to push his dangerous Iran nuclear agreement through the Senate without a supermajority of votes.
A number of my competitors for the Republican nomination have no business running for president. I do not need to be lectured by any of them. Many are failed politicians or people who would be unable to succeed in the private sector. Some, however, I have great respect for.
My record of veteran support is well-documented. I served as co-chairman of the New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission and was responsible, with a small group, for getting it built. Toward this end, I contributed over $1 million so our warriors can be honored in New York City with a proper memorial. I also helped finance and served as the grand marshal of the 1995 Nation’s Day Parade, which honored over 25,000 veterans. It was one of the biggest parades in the history of New York City, and I was very proud to have made it possible.
I will continue to fight to secure our border and take care of our veterans because these steps are vital to make America great again!
Re the birthplace of Obama (or whoever he is) my brother knew him in Hawaii years ago. He is a homosexual with a fixation on transvestites (frequented a transvestite bar in Honolulu when he was in town visiting his grandmother). A business partner of my brother, a native Hawaiian well-connected with the state Democratic Party, told him that this was fairly common knowledge among senior Democrats. He was born in Vancouver and then brought to Hawaii by his mother. His grandmother, a senior bank official, was the one who “fixed” the paperwork, ran the birth announcements in the newspapers, etc.
He was the only tall, lanky black guy constantly dribbling a basketball to be seen on the streets of Honolulu. The nickname they had for him was “Mobarry”, for Homo Barry. Oh, yeah. He is a committed Marxist, nasty and extremely arrogant.
One more thing. The whole born in Kenya thing is nonsense, probably spread by Obama himself because it is so easily disproved. A pregnant American white woman flying to Kenya to have a baby in 1960? Pure bull shit. Vancouver a was short drive to the border with First World medical care and, at that time, no record of the visit would have been kept. I personally do not believe that the Kenyan was his father (though legally he is, apparently, unless he is disqualified by bigamy). Chances are that the black Communist Frank Marshall, a perverted thug, is his real biological father. Obama wrote some extremely creepy poetry that can be interpreted as Marshall having introduced him into homosexual sex. UUggghhh!
One more thing. Lest ya’ll think I am making this up about Obama, my brother unwisely repeated his story to an Obama supporter in early 2009. He was immediately contacted by the Secret Service, though of course he had not threatened Obama; just said he knew him. They wanted to know what he knew about Obama. I held a fairly senior government post at the time and my brother mentioned this to the Secret Service, who then called me. Funny conversation. As I did not know anything about this Obama stuff at the time I made haste to say that my brother was no threat to Obama. “Oh, no. He never made any threats! Just said he knew him. What do you know about that?” I truthfully answered that I had no idea what my brother was talking about. They were extremely polite and very curious about just what my brother knew or had said to others. I did not learn the details until I saw my brother six months later. He is something of a flake but was dead serious about this and rigidly stuck to his story.
Trump is correct on McCain, but for a different reason

It used to be that the word ‘hero’ meant you had to accomplish something noble
For once, Donald Trump is right: John McCain is not a war hero just because he was a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
Over the weekend, Trump told the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, that McCain is “not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump explains why he doesn’t think that Sen. John McCain, the GOP’s 2008 presidential nominee, is a war hero. (Video: C-SPAN)
Trump’s remarks were immediately denounced by one and all. The reaction was quick and brutal, but also wrong.
See: Donald Trump not sorry for McCain comments, not dropping out
Let’s be clear: Sen. John McCain was extremely brave and resourceful in captivity. He was repeatedly tortured. He suffered unimaginable pain and deprivation while a prisoner. He lives with that physical and psychic pain every day.
While he was a prisoner, McCain displayed great courage and a noble character, refusing at one point to accept an early release. But he also broke down under the pressure and signed a “confession” that the North Vietnamese used for propaganda purposes.
That doesn’t make him a hero.
It used to be that a war hero had to accomplish something dramatic or noble, like saving his fellow soldiers at great personal risk, or inflicting significant casualties on the enemy at great personal risk. A hero used to be someone who inspired his comrades and instilled fear and envy in the enemy.
But the bar has been lowered. Nowadays a hero can be anyone who puts on a uniform, no matter how they act or what they accomplish. It’s the act of joining the military — not acts of noble heroism — that makes a modern-day hero.
I suppose it’s the patriotic version of the trend that’s been building over the past few decades of making sure everyone feels like a winner. We honor participation instead of accomplishment. Instead of recognizing real feats — like winning a sports championship or mastering a difficult academic subject — we give everyone a medal for showing up.
That’s what we’ve done to John McCain. And we’re doing it to everyone who serves in the military, whether they behave as heroes or not. (Incidentally, we also put celebrities and billionaires on a pedestal, no matter whether they are saintly or slimy.)
Of course we should recognize the sacrifices these men and women in uniform make, but we should reserve words like “hero” for exceptional people who accomplish extraordinary things with great courage.
Perhaps it was less confusing when we believed our military was fighting for a noble cause, as we did in World War II.
But the war McCain fought in Vietnam was not a noble cause. He participated in the greatest aerial bombardment of any country up to that time, but what did he and the other American pilots accomplish? The bombing campaign didn’t win the war; it merely prolonged it.
We’ve fought a few more pointless wars since then. And each time we struggle as a nation to put some meaning into those wars. What do we say to those whom we’ve asked to make the ultimate sacrifice, those who killed and died for a cause that wasn’t worth killing or dying for?
We call them heroes. It helps us forget.
“It’s the act of joining the military — not acts of noble heroism — that makes a modern-day hero.” —– above article
Perhaps so.
Here’s another GUARANTEED way to become a war hero. Become wounded, or die! I would guess that not once in the past decade (I can’t remember further back than that) has there ever been a case were a killed/wounded soldier was not also called a “hero”.
Sage- I believe that Frank Marshall Davis is Oreo’s father and I think he was indeed born in Hawaii. The reason for the Kenyan story was to cover up the fact that Oreo is a spawn of one of the nastiest Marxists and pornographers and sex club operators to ever grace the USA!USA!USA!.
OBTW Sage- Good ole Valerie Jarret’s father-in-law was Frank Marshall Davis’s sidekick back in the day helping to organize labor unions under the communist banner and lots of other subversive projects from Chicago to Hawaii. What a coinky-dink.
Hmmm. Bea, you may well be right. In any case, BO is a groomed plant put there by the Marxist “Progressives” to destroy this country. Case closed.
