7 Children Who Will Put A Smile On Your Face And A Tear In Your Eye (and restore your faith in humanity)

Tired of Doom Porn? Of course you are!  Watch one or two, take a break, come back and watch the others. They’re all terrific.  Best to watch the intro part, and not just skip to the music part. Some of these kids have a wonderful story to tell.

I might have posted one or more of these before. So what. Sue me. Not everyone has been here forever. And good stuff deserves to be posted more than once …. like that picture Admin has posted 649 times of him kicking SSS in the nuts.

Just one request.  If this type of thing isn’t your cup of tea, then just stop right now and click on something else.  In other words, it’s not necessary for you to let the world know —“I don’t like this. Wah! Wah! It sucks.” No one cares.  In other words .. just shut the fuck up.

============================================

1)  Quite simply …. PREPARE … to get blown away …. from the very first note.

2) OK, this isn’t the most talented kid in the group. Maybe that’s because he’s THREE YEARS OLD.  What were you doing at three? What a command of the language … although Chinese is so damn simple to learn … at three years old (did I mention that?).  Some of you A.D.D. pinheads won’t watch it, but at the 8-min mark the lady asks “What is your dream?“. The little boy answers — “My dream is to make people happy because I am happy. Are you happy?” He gets an A+++++++ for cuteness and intelligence. If this boy doesn’t make you smile, you’re a lizard, not a human being.

3) Well, fer shnizzle! White kids are cute too!  Six year old adorable cherub sings “Over the rainbow.”

4) Hey, black kids are cute too!  Imagine that! Watch the whole thing … this sweet humble boy falls apart in his first try … then comes back and nails it with gusto and emotion.

5)  You think you have it rough?  How about being born with a crippling disease and blind in one eye? Those who survive and thrive despite physical infirmities always inspire me to the bone …. especially the children.

6) At 17, the oldest child in this collection. He was born in Iraq. See his deformities? They were caused by war. Maybe even the result of “collateral damage” by an American bomb. Maybe, not. He was adopted by an Australian woman.  If you don’t watch his singing … at least listen to the first part, his story. And try not to get a tear in your eye.

7) Lastly, this ten year old sings one of my most favorite songs of all time “House of the Rising Sun”.  The song has meaning to me.  When I graduated from basic training (Lackland AFB) on our final Sunday hundreds of us newbie troops gathered in the huge church on base.  The service closed with a song  —  the prayer Jesus taught his disciples, “Our Father”,  and it was sung to the tune of this song.  The feeling of “unity” was never as strong for me before that day, or since. The Force was with me, and that day is one of my most cherished memories.  And this girl just nails it.

I must be pregnant or something, emotional wreck today, thanks for capping my day, Stucky.

And Russia, may the first country that doesn’t kill children with bombs cast the first stone.

Thanks for this collection Stuck.

My five days up north with my kids/grandgift were filled with my little MJ singing her heart out.

How absolutely JOYOUS a 2-1/2 year old that is loved and paid attention can be.

Found myself singing along with her, over and over. From “Soft Kitty” to the “ABC song” and even a few lines of “Chantilly Lace.”

Happiest thing is most of those songs are the ones I’ve been singing to her since her birth (Chantilly Lace is my signature baby song, I’ve never met a baby that didn’t love it, especially when you get to “like a long neck goose, aw baby that’s what I like!” which I belt out in special voices.

Children are proof that God loves man.

Government is proof that man has a damned hard time sending the love back.

Hugs!

check out these kids in Texas doing the star spangled banner a capella. There’s a better recording on youtube, but it’s by the 700 club.
