Perfect time for that question. I’m about to make a post about my August visitor count.
I’m still waiting for Part 2 Of Robert’s awesome takedown of TBP and its shock jock leader.

I define troll as; someone who comes here merely to SHIT on the site, offering zero in terms of opinion or commentary.
I don’t mind (as much) libtards. A libtard is anyone who has an opposite view than myself. lol Really, as long as a person engages in a raging debate with real facts (as they see them) then that’s just great. Fodder for a shitfest! Nothing wrong with that.
But, fuksticks like Finnegan, Russia Is Strong, et al. really should be given the Ban Button with extreme prejudice.
I know Admin doesn’t like to ban. He wants this to be the most Libertarian site on the net …. where no one gets banned because of their opinion. But, again, Trolls do NOT give opinions! They just come here to shit and ruin the flow of actual debate/conversation. They are taking advantage of Admin’s Free Speech Zone. Fuck ’em and ban ’em.

Trolls are the rebellious spirits that made the internet so entertaining. It would be a dull place without them, totally dominated by the analistic rules of those of the thin skin.

Bobby was too easy to fuck with. He posted a direct link to his site which I followed just for giggles and the first thing I read was the exact same story he had just posted as a comment on TBP except the hero was a black dude instead of his cousin.
All I did was call bullshit and he went full retard. I went to his site to cheer him up but he quit replying when I told him he was just like a wind up monkey toy…….”wind him up and watch him go”. He even took down his reply/comment form. 🙂 When I told him his avatar (his personal picture) looked just like the head of my dick he changed it. 🙂 Poor bastard!

I am probably more tolerant than most. See, as an Anarcho-capitalist I look like Mao or Che to the typical Republican and to the Liberal or Democrat I look like Nietzsche, Wagner and Himmler got together and had a baby.
The Burning Platform tolerates my posts more than most but that is probably because there are a fair number of Libertarians here as well as a number of Social Darwinist.
I’m not one to dismiss a troll outright as they do bring value especially if it is a government troll. As TBP numbers ratchet up, expect all kinds of entities to appear so we may as well enjoy it.
To me its all about motivation..which, of course, can only be guessed at.
If someone wants only to shit on a particular site or shit on comments made by particular commentors regardless of their content…this is the worst kind of troll and seriously WTF? I HAVE too much time on my hands (slow at work) and still view such as a COMPLETE waste of time.
If someone is PAID to spew shit all over this site and others like it….again WTF? This is a real job? Well, I suppose the government pays people to be far less productive, huh? What’s the salary of a few Statist trolls compared to the many various bottomless pits into which it tosses fiat.
Funny aside, quickly…I, along with a few others, bashed a troll over on the economic collapse blog…she (feminine handle anyway) actually admitted to being one and her mind was changed completely (or sho she said, it may have been a big joke…you never know on the old interwebs).
Then there is simply the obstinate libtard that just can’t get off the line of bullshit spewed to them by ALL their BRILLIANT college professors as well as the nice, pretty, genuine journalists on CNN and MSNBC. If a person is flooding, or causing disruption of service in some way they aren’t a troll… they are an aggressor. If they are just saying words at the same rate as any active “liked” person in a community… no biggie.
Trolls are capable of benefiting communities by helping prevent in-fighting as the lines are able to stay clearer. This is why SJW communities ALWAYS self destruct in the long run (whether left or right) because they seek to eradicate exposure to the very people who prevent their minor differences from becoming massive defining traits worth fighting over.

I think there might be some trolls deep in the woods around here. But then I thought trolls were only found around bridges and on the internet so probably not. Could be midget Big Foots. There’s an old fellow, who otherwise seems mostly normal to everyone who swears he saw a Big Foot taking a pee on a dead cat. So who knows for sure.
Not too far away there are some folks from Georgia who live in some shacks along a slew. They kind of look like trolls. They’re as poor as over planted dirt, will steal sun tea off your porch, and are none too friendly. They drive around on mini choppers with Briggs and Stratton engines with one hand while making off with plundered sun tea and other scavenged items in the other. Might be their offspring with DNA Deficits running around out there. We’ve got some hog traps near the edge of the forest. Maybe we’ll catch something besides a hog.
Internet trolls don’t matter all that much. Certainly not near as much as the viscous ugly creatures of legend and myth or even the ones that might be out in the woods.
