TRUMP ON 60 MINUTES

The Donald is going to cut your taxes, increase taxes on the rich, build a beautiful wall, convince 11 million illegal immigrants to leave, bring jobs back to America by taxing foreign products, repeal Obamacare, provide universal healthcare, and increase military spending. Sounds like a plan. I’m sure there will be details to follow. I’m sure these proposals will lead to a balanced budget. Right?

Promises promises; that’s how to win the MSM and Useful Idiots votes and since they are the majority, you got to have a lot of them to win. Budget problems are solved by magic accounting methods and secretly printing trillions. If elected, he can always change his mind.

Well, you can add the Pope to the list of those who oppose him and his ideas.

Almost every elite power in the United States and the World hates him now, with only the command man left liking him.

Just one more reason to like him, IMO.

A man is defined by who his enemies are as much as who his friends are. Judge him accordingly as to whether he is on your side or not.

At this point in time with our massive debt, including off-balance sheet promises, do you really think a balanced budget will solve anything.

We have gone way past the point of no return.

I have a liberal co-worker who probably watched Trump on 60 minutes. I’m sure by now he’s already read on NYT and HuffPo about how Trump didn’t give enough specifics. I’m going to ask him to name two Hillary Clinton proposals. The stammering should be pretty funny. The current president got elected on three “policies”: 1) I’m black 2) Hopenchange 3) I’m black. Now they want specifics?

@ Iska Waran…..That was good. I’m willing to roll the dice with Trump for no other reason than “What The Hell”. We know what all the others are, but no one really knows what Trump will do.

Is he a plant by Hitlery? Is he there to take up space in order for Americans to blow off steam until he pulls out and throws his support to Jeb? Is he for real? Can he accomplish anything without some support from congress? Who knows. My opinion is that if Trump is actually elected, how could he be worse?

Obama had a simple mandate. Break the banks, end the wars. He failed. Weak, dumb men tend to fail. Trump is laying out a simple mandate. Get the real economy functioning again for the benefit of everyday americans. His tools are fix immigration, fix trade, fix taxes and regulation, and restore the rule of law. Does anyone have a better idea?

Great. Don´t like the Donald? Lindsey Graham is waiting in the wings. Trump will do and say what he needs to to get elected. I don{´t blame him.

@Iska: What makes you think that just because your friend is a Liberal it instantly means he’s for Hitlery? She’s spoiled meat; Sanders is the Man with a plan.
I doubt the GOP will allow Trump to get past the convention. If he does, and wins the election, you’ll see an even more fascist USA than we now suffer.

Trump’s America suffers from a ginormous case of hubris. I hope he gets elected so he can finally blow this thing up and get on with whatever comes next. Turn baby turn.

@Westcoaster

Politics are like sports (professional wrestling maybe?) for us poli sci nerds aren’t they?

The problem of course being when we start to actually buy into the game – the moment we believe its for real we’re fucked.

“Who’s your man? That’s not my man and let me tell you why!” The battle cry of the lost….

Would you vote for Trump over Hillary?

Or which other Republican will you vote for instead of Hillary if she’s the candidate?

No jim. No bea. I disagree. Most money guys aren’t particularly ideological. Enormous amounts of money to be made making america great again. We spend way too much overseas. Trump wants to spend it here. I wrote an essay on this a few months back, explaining the multiplier effect. Besides, getting a little credit for reviving america beats a lamppost and a rope

When it becomes undeniable that trump is going to win and win big, the rats are going to be jumping off the sinking clintonomics ship, and swimming in droves towards battleship trump. Watch.
