One time when we were in Iceland, we were scrambling in the middle of an winter storm that we knew we would probably not be able to launch and fly in (or shouldn’t), but someone, somewhere in the NORAD system had detected Soviet bears flying to or from Cuba along the North American Coast, so that meant an AWACS plane should be the eyes in the sky to ensure the safety of Europe. Still a bit wet around the ears, I was still enthralled with the idea of protecting the world from the evil Communists who were just looking for a chance to penetrate our borders and attack our freedom-loving way of life. A wonderful pragmatic crew-daddy flight engineer I’ll call Robbie here to keep his identity safe (How’s Pooh Bear these days Robbie?) told me the truth that next night after we’d launched and flown halfway to Cuba back to send fighter jets to intercept several pairs of Bears flying within miles of the coast of the Southern United States on their routine practice runs against the coastline to see if we were watching.
Over a couple of beers and a game of pinochle in the MarBar, he told me that it would save the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. a lot of money if they would just use the post office. Because all they wanted was pictures of each others planes. We wanted pictures of all their Bears and they wanted pictures of all our AWACS planes and fighter jets. So, if the head honchos would just call one another and say “get ready, set, go” and then have someone in each country race to mail those pictures and the first one that received the pictures and could show them to their respective CIA or KGB agents could claim the O-9. (An O-9 was a type of dangerous flight that was logged into our records every time we were involved in a flight that intercepted Soviet fighters. Twenty O-9s equalled an air medal. I have three air medals. Oooooh. Aaaaaah. My father had an air medal too…. For being shot down and surviving. Somehow that made mine seem a bit trite.
So, I have learned that in modern times, military actions are Acts. Many of our young people are placed in danger as if they are actors on stage in a play being put on by the Producers in Congress, with stage direction by the Department of Defense and Military Industrial Complex, The play is produced with moneys provided by the taxpayer, meted out by the Money brokers and Power mongers. Let’s calls Repukes the Money brokers and the Demoncrats the Power mongers.
So, the Repukes like War anywhere because it feeds their campaign coffers with the “vig” from the weapons and machinery of war that becomes increasingly needed as more and more is purchased to defeat the “enemy” that is an ever increasing threat to the American Way. The threat being what they say it is, of course, as they determine what will frighten the most people into wanting to support their scheme to increase the machinations of war.
The Demoncrats like War anywhere because it gives them the opportunity to kill people (because every bleeding heart liberal at their core hates anyone unlike him/her that they can’t sway with every fiber of their being and wants them dead) who won’t agree with them AND WAR gives them the cover to take their own personal take from the “vig.” They also like being able to console the poor parents of the dead soldiers that the Repukes caused to be killed, while they themselves prefer sending drones and bombs that kill indiscriminately.
The American People LONG ago lost sight of the danger of foreign entanglements and when they allowed the Peanut Farmer (have you seen my Peanut Butter theory… that peanut butter spreads so easily that Hillary should adopt that as her campaign snack?) to implement a Department of Education that started national standards for our children, the cause of U.S. education was lost, except for those few of us who’d already garnered an interest in readin’, writin’, and ‘rithmetic or had someone in our extended family who might introduce us to that love of learning outside the halls of indoctrination and unlearning.
So, here we be in 2015 with not even the slightest semblance of a Republican system. We have Paul Ryan announcing his terms for accepting the throne as Speaker, so that he can bully the non-compliant immigration Repukes into line so that the Money brokers can have their cheap labor here at home and completely destroy any possibility of a living wage for middle class Americans any more, if there are any left at all. We apparently are going to have Hillbutter or BernieSanders whether they are Communist, confirmed liars, murderers or inept fools as our next president to contend with a rising China and Russia which together will completely overrun our borders and destroy our military. But, no worries, because our Money brokers and Power mongers have lots of friends there and they will make a deal. You can bet on that.
I’m sure it can be found in the “General Welfare” Clause, or, if not? Hillary and/or Bernie can just Exec Order it… “What difference does it make?”

If you are going to refer to Rep’s as “Repukes”, then you should refer to Dem’s as DemoCraps or DemocRATS.

Regarding praying for America, I have said it too many times here before but, if God saves America He’s gonna have to apologize to Sodom&Gomorrah.
But, if praying floats your boat, by all means proceed.

Prayer and/or just a unified mindset of the citizens against this sham is really all we have to do battle with these evil criminals because that is the ONLY WAY we can dictate to them. It is powerful to unite our minds (almost like the BORG in Startrek) as they have to bow to our desire. We will be stuck with the Repukes and the Demoncrats also until we learn to meld together and will them out of existence.
Pray for America;you bet but at this point I’d say let it burn….you have to do some demolition in order to rebuild a house.

Little sister , you had better pray there is a difference between these political parties or in the not to distance future we are going to be in a tangled web of civil strife not seen since the civil war.
I think all of us need to pray . At this moment what else can we legally do ?When this house of cards built on sand finally collapses it will be to late. Our Republic will be destroyed. We will never again have constitutional rights .We are committing national suicide and no one seems to have WILL to stop it.

As for Prayer, Jesus said ask and you shall receive (effectively if you don’t ask you won’t receive). The Constitution says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” So we should ignore the SCOTUS’ unConstitutional restrictions on prayer and Congress should undue them. Pray for swift justice to come upon the ignorant Godless Liberals.

Before and After Elections… The last election that I was involved in while living in Okie land, I ended up being the Precinct Captain for my Precinct by a weird happenstance… I was the only person showed up at the nominating committee meeting and wha lah… I was the Captain for my precinct. I didn’t even know my precinct number. But, I got to go to all the follow-on meetings with the mucky mucks for whom buildings and lakes are named in the area and vote for the whole precinct at the Repuke convention.
Haha. Which really meant didley because I only went to find out what the whole rigmarole was all about. I found out. Is all rigged by the mucky mucks who are used to running the big show and they really don’t like people like me and thee showing up asking questions like “why?” and “what for?” when they are stacking the deck. I did photobomb one of their photos and tagged myself in the picture on her FB page and communicated with that person for a while as if I was somebody she knew. She played the charming socialite “You should have spoken to me… I would have loved to meet you!” But I tired of that game quickly. I didn’t like the people she associated with. There were too many scumbags that I recognized from local Politicks.
I wonder about my fellow Americans and how they don’t question our neverending war thing. Why we value freedom,Yet force our ways on other sovereign countries.

I also think that if people would step back and look. They would see how our current group of representatives? seem determined to destroy our current system and replace it with an agenda 21 kind of thing. Cloward and Piven at work.

Well, I am glad you brought this up in a way… I want to clarify something. I feel a sickness when I see the statistics on young men killed and/or maimed in these farcical battlefields, knowing that the majority of them are not aware of their being used by immoral men and women elected on faulty platforms of lies who are willing to spend their young lives the same way they spend taxpayer monopoly money in the ever expanding budget to try to fill the infinite debt ceiling.
Having spent some time trying to help vets get some VA benefits from another agency elevated to cabinet status during Reagan’s Administration (and Cabintet Status appears to be the beginning of bureaucratic constipation leading to the inability to perform any sort of beneficial service whatsoever to clients, beyond serving the employees of the Bureaucracy itself), I can tell you that seeing a veteran without an arm or leg, yet wearing a flag on his lapel still chokes me up.

Even the founding fathers knew, and warned, that they’d constructed the best system that could be agreed upon at the time BUT, in time, the natural predilections of the governing class of man would grow and burden the people with an overgrown, top-heavy and corrupt federal government.
This is why our rights to bear arms and the duty to dissent and rebuild through revolution, is so strongly elucidated and protected in the documents recording their thoughts and conversations.

Why Thank You, Mike in Ga. You point out what so many of us know… that the 2nd amendment protects our rights to fight the tyrants who would take our rights away.
That’s why the Repukes and the Demon-crats will eventually give in the the anti-gun lobby, just like Ryan will open the borders to immigrants who will flood the labor market with cheap labor, forcing the middle class into a brand new paradigm shift.

I remember a poem from the first English Lit class I took in college that said that if the mayors of Dumdrudge and Bailiwick (or some silly sort of names) were forced to meet on the field and fight out their disagreements rather than send 50 fine young men of Dumdrudge and Bailiwick to die on the same field, then War would be a much finer sort of Action and the loss would be in reality a gain for both Dumdrudge and Bailiwick.
Mags, good article but you go overboard with the psy ops eagle. Billy complained that he would not be manipulated emotionally, this is exactly what you are doing when you use that venerated symbol. I can imagine one day that eagle will be used with the logo, Big Brother is Watching.
