Why Isn’t Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D -Hawaii) Running For President?

My meager contribution for the day …

I don’t know jackshit about Ms. Gabbard.  But, based solely on the video below, I’d give her my serious attention.  Take the time to watch it.  This is one of the best, most logical, completely level-headed Congresscritters I’ve heard in a very long time.

======================================

Tulsi Gabbard

Democrat from Hawaii, member of the Armed Services Committee, Iraq War Veteran and Major in the Hawaii National Guard is telling truth to power. In no uncertain terms it points out a fatal flaw in Hilary’s Syrian plan and US involvement as a repeat of the disaster in Libya 101 and to repeat the massacring of Christians and other minority groups.

She points out that involvement in Syria is illegal and supplies weapons to the terrorist enemies of the US and the rest of the world. This US Army Major is on top of her game and shows bravery and determination that every US Congressional representative should acknowledge and bears the question of their honesty, loyalty and sworn oath to protect the citizens of the US.

With President Putin leading the war on terror that the US not only refuses to do but shows all the traits of treason and tyranny in their actions and lack of actions around not only the Middle East but the world as well. What are they hiding under the veil of secrecy from the American people? How will the American people ever be able to trust government being loyal to its people when it demonstrates just the opposite? What is the government hiding from the public in co-operation of Main Street media spin?

Every politician running for office must be vetted on these issues and sworn to the American people not a hidden power of secrecy or loyalty to any other nation or third party before the rights to know what is being done in our name.

This brings in the words of JFK “The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.

Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment.

That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know”.

We see that the right to know and criticize what is being done in our name and to us and our nation not only in government but in the corporate and banking usurping of our nations laws and sovereignty as a people to correct and abolish any power foreign or domestic power outside of the people’s right to know and choose our destiny.

I saw another video of hers with focus on our Syria stupidity. Smart lady. I guess more of a JFK type of Democrat, as opposed to the Leftist trash we mostly have now.

You won’t get the chance to vote for her. Her career will now be over. She’s an enemy of the state. She is EXACTLY the kind of American TPTB do not want……intelligent, articulate, honest, and worst of all, absolutely correct with facts on her side.

She is cute!

Gotta agree with you on this one, Stucky. And did you note how Wolf assumes the Pentagon propaganda about how “bad” Assad is, (chemical weapons and barrel bombs against his own people..oh no!) as truth when it’s actually bullshit.

People can say anything with their mouth.

What’s her voting record say?

Stucky,

You’re being stupidly obnoxious as usual.

But that’s only to be expected if a serious question is asked.

Stucky,

You make it pretty obvious your one on the run of the mill dumb sheeple Americans that never bothers to look into anything and just accepts what they are told without question.

Discrimination between a persons actions and what is coming out of their mouth seems to escape you, but that doesn’t surprise me a bit either.

I’m glad you are a non voter, but unfortunately too many like you do vote and that is why we have the political situation we have.

At significant portion of the “250,000” killed that Graham mentioned are troops of the Syrian Army. Graham is a fucking war monger. Syria had an election. They voted Assad into office. It is absolutely non of our fucking business. They never mention the atrocities of the Saudis. Phony assholes

Anonymous – I could not give one fuck about your first couple of comments. But the last one is indeed one of the stupidest things ever posted on this fine site.

Ignoring the grammar mistakes that quickly indicate you are poorly educated, the comment that we are in the current political situation because of voters who resemble Stuck is truly, monumentally stupid.

Seriously, what was the option to Obama? McCain and his retarded sidekick? The idiot Mormon? Just what vote could possibly have mattered? The Repubs now control the house. Has it made a difference? Was it better under the Dems?

You really are an imbecile. And you do not know Stuck or you would not be commenting as you are.

Wolf is just your typical pundit, doing what idiot pundits do. But Gabbard’s intelligent, articulate, level-headed, Iraq/Afghanistan veteran (who just got promoted to Major in the Army Nat’l Guard) and speaks directly to the matter instead of the usual beating around the bush nonsense. I’d vote for her in a heartbeat.

Oh and Dutchman, let’s keep the conversation elevated shall we? She’s married.
